I've heard some good things about homeschooling but I wasn't homeschooled. I'd guess the worst bit would be not meeting a heap of other people.

I am , thats why you can see me regugally all the time on pc , cause I dont go to school, and Im not getting a education at home really XD the last thing I remeber being taught buy mum, was how to do the dishes !_! now I just stay on my pc all day **coughnerdcough** XD

no, well, it's kinda complex with me, I went to school, then last year I got home educated, now I'm back at school again, I just missed all my mates and stuff...

I am! My mom started homeschooling me in kindergarden, but then I went to a public school through 1st-3rd grade. Before I started 4th grade my mom offered to homeschool both my brother and I again, and by that time the idea sounded great because we were so tired of not being able to spend much time at home, or with our family! Being in public school just kept us so busy all of the time, and my mom really wanted to spend more time with us so that's how the idea came to be.

My brother and I have been homeschooled since then, and we love it! Regardless of what a lot of people may think, when you're homeschooled you don't have to be socially deprived just because you're not surrounded by your friends all day. I have many close friends, who even go to a public school, and even at my age I feel more comfortable and enjoy befriending older people just because I'm around one (my mom) all day. We also still have a lot of chances to meet new people just by going to church, town, attending different events, etc. I never end up feeling lonely, even when I am stuck at home, I guess because I enjoy being around my family members. I get to see people like my grandparents, who I really love, all the time so it makes it more special. I also haven't been as affected by peer pressure and all of that junk, and I think that I have turned out to be a nice, Christian girl. My mom's been a really good example for me, and she's taught me well.

(And I do actually get an education... As you can see, I'm not totally stupid. XD My mom orders books for us from a Christian academy, and trust me, she can be strict when it comes to us getting our work done!)

I was homeschooled for kindergarten. Our school didn't have a policy of advancing students to higher grades, but they said that I was already a few years above the curriculum (not trying to brag.) Therefore, I was homeschooled by my sister, and (foolishly) decided to enter public school, as we were very poor and could not afford private schooling for me. Anyway, I got a somewhat-acceptable education in grade school, but the torment of the other students wasn't worth it. High school was better and more challenging for me, and that made me a bit more glad I made my choice to leave homeschooling, as, in my opinion, many mediocre teachers = one good teacher, and I think I've gotten a more well-rounded education...erm...I think <_<;

I am home schooled my Mum teaches me @ home and I use this special booklet program called A.C.E.

No, but I'd really love to~ <3
I keep telling my parents to homeschool me, but they said that I'll only get lazier. ;~; The only downside to it ish that I'll miss hanging around with friends during lunch and recess and playing pranks. My teachers are unbelievably gullible. X33;

weird how the bullies are nice to me now I'm home schooled. I only started in Easter and we do evil, secret tricks on people when we go back to go to orchestra...before I say anymore, I hope nobody here is from my old school that I go to every wednesday for orchestra - my real name is Kerry and I used to go to- wait...am I allowed to say the name of my old school here people? I just don't want to do anything bad - its against mine and my sisters title! So does anyone know?

I only went to public schools from 1st to the middle of 4th grade, then I was withdrawn and homeschooled. I feel I've learned heaps more from homeschooling than I would have if I continued going to public schools, where I rarely listened and often hid stacks of my homework in my desk. <_<;

I've been homeschooled since I could remember, I was four and my teacher treated my artwork like crud X_X so even back then I've had people in public treat my work like it was nothing but some usless paper. However I have knowlage that can render close to Public school, and yeah my grammers bad =D but I've learned grammer is only what the veiw of the world wants.

And even without good grammer. People can understand what I'm saying, so I dont really see the point of grammer if you could undertsand me .An if in a way people just want it to look pretty XD then whats the point of me drawing? My artwork is ment to look nice, not half of what I say o_o

And actualy to the one thing I saw, It's not all that much money to be home schooled ^^ If anything as long as your parent is smart you dont need school books made by a church or another school to learn o_o I learned mainly from books but I know alot of the books where not real school books. lol after all they had smudged ink! XD if it was school paper then that wouldint happen.

I agree, home schooling isn't expensive, we learn from everything around us...well, with me it is books but for some people just explooring -(spelt very badly) the internet is their method...

PS: I still don't know if I'm aloud to mension the name of my old school on this forum yet...am I?

I am. What bullcrap is this, you can't make any friends? You have to go to more social thiings and stuff. And i have lots of friends who are homeschooled. Best friend: brotlov. Second best: Computer XD. But seriously, we have like a homeschoolers society in my town XD. We go on excursions and stuff together.

I'm home educated, and I'm happy to know some others are.

There are several homeschool groups where I live, but my family and I have checked them out and unfortunately they weren't very good... I mean, the people were friendly but we didn't have much fun with them. I do still know a few people who are homeschooled, though, and I enjoy spending time with them! Two of my best friends now were actually homeschooled when I met them a long time ago, although they go to a public school now.

Oh, and I agree with how homeschooling isn't very expensive! If you order a ton of books then it can be, but usually that's not even required. As long as your parents are really dedicated to teaching you, I think that you can learn even more than you would in public school. It's much easier for me to focus on my work when I'm at home... It also doesn't take as long to finish it, even though I'm able to do it at my own pace.
