Doesn't necessarily mean though that they will make one. When one gets down to it, they've trademarked a heck of a lot of names, but it doesn't mean each one will be used. It's just something they like to do, having money and all. (Furthermore, they didn't have a website domain or the suck for Platinum when they announced it, unlike other games).
I would pray that we have a Pokemon RPG on the Wii, but not like Colosseum and XD. When I first heard of XD, I thought when they said Wild Pokemon, it would really be like the GBA games. *Buzz* WRONG! It wasn't wild Pokemon, it was 9 battles against 9 random pokemon that triggered once you left a certain item in a certain place. Not really wild Pokemon like most expected. I would really love to see a game on the Wii, that is similar to the GBA games.
To be fair, it does make sense considering the whole setting of the games. Colosseum was set in a desert region, with crime rifle through it and all that... jazz. XD follows 5 years from it, when things begin improving again. But they certainly could have done better than bribing Pokemon with cake, as effective a method that may be in XD.
Who knows - maybe in an XD sequel, the region would have improved further again, and routes are now basically in, with grass and all?
An XD sequel isn't too unlikely either if another main Pokemon RPG comes up. After all, Genius Sonority made Colosseum, XD and PBR, so they seem the go-to people for these games, and reportedly they are making another game - what it is they cannot say yet (or leastways it's what it said on their website when I last checked). Along with the fact they like reusing stuff *points to XD being a sequel to Colo, when initially they said it wouldn't be, and reused ares in XD from Colo, and remixed Colosseum music in PBR*.
I'd like to see another Shadow Pokemon game personally - I enjoyed them, found the storyline more interesting (even taking any plotholes into account), the criminal team more intriguing, and the characters (especially the admins) more developed than most in the handhelds, and if they came back with Miror B as well, so much the better! I would like to see some further improvements on them however, I have to say - they lacked in a few departments, and would need work to equal the handhelds - after all, Pokemon is a game that essentially is made primarily for the handhelds.
