A certain moderator deleted a post of mine and claimed it was spam. My post was not spam. When I changed it to make sure it was not spam, he gave me an infringement.

Now he has followed all my posts and when I post in a thread, he threatens me to, "not start stuff in this thread".

How can I be sure this moderator is not using his powers recklessly? I feel I am being stalked by, and persecuted by a single moderator. I feel additional opinions are necessary for diplomacy.

Indeed, that is abuse of his powers. The only thing you can really do in this situation is PM report him to another moderator. If he blocks your ability to send PMs at all, I will support you, but to be entirely honest the only one who can help you from an abusive mod is another mod.

To answer your question regarding the chain of command I believe the admins rest at the top of the food chain with the super mods in the middle and the regular mods handling most of the business that goes on here.

Can't help when it comes to the other problems though other than to talk to this particular mod over PM and see what can be done.

If you've got issues with a mod then usually I see it suggested that you should contact higher staff; this includes super moderators, assistant admins, and staff admins. This page contains the full list of staff and higher staff are shown at the bottom.

...although you're not helping your case by trying to publicly call out a moderator. Last time that happened it didn't end too well.

If you feel a moderator is abusing their powers, the best idea would be to contact a super moderator (members with orange names and badges), they're the next step up. But make sure that you fully understand the rules and the reason that your thread was closed before doing this as most of the moderators here have been doing their job well for a long time and know what is within the rules; we have nothing to gain from power abuse. ^_^

First I feel it necessary to state that I have not named the moderator in this thread, so it is not what I would call "a calling out".

I read the faq, and the rules, and could not find something which said who to contact about abuse.

Creating this thread has given me many avenues to seek aid, and I am thankfull. I by no means intended this to be a calling out, this thread names no names, and could be useful to anybody who feels abused by any moderator.
You're really not helping your situation at all. Your first post in the Sex thread was spam. Your next post asking why it was spam, saying "idgi why did livewire delete my post", after I already told you so in a VM, was Spam, which earned you the infraction, as you did the very thing I told you not to do. That is all.
I'm sorry, but you still do not give any reason as to why my opinion was spam, and secondly you slander me by saying i said "idgi why did livewire delete my post" I never used the term idgi nor do I know what it means, but it is probably a very bad word. You are misquoting me and using my words out of context further.

Let me make it clear to all I never said "idgi why did livewire delete my post" I have never said idgi in my life!

Further; you just said "your first post in sex was spam". My first post was not spam! My first post still stands clear in the thread. You deleted my second and third post not my first!

You've never said "I don't get it"? I must say that I'm quite impressed.

I highly suggest if you have a problem with a moderator, go to a super moderator. Super moderators are the ones most likely to handle the issue especially if it's a case of a disagreement in a decision a moderator made, because it's within our job to do so. We won't overstep boundaries, however. The mods are in full control over the forum they're in, but if we disagree with them, we will talk to them on your behalf.
If you have a problem with a super moderator, go to an assistant admin.
If you have a problem with an assistant admin, go to a staff admin.
If you have a problem with a staff admin, go to another staff admin.

If your issue relates to a disagreement with the moderator, consult them in PM. If they are being unapproachable and threatening you, look at it from an objective point of view and ask yourself if they really are being unapproachable and threatening. If so, contact the appropriate persons. Don't go to another moderator if you have an issue with one of them. The people who moderates the mods is the same people who choose them; the higher staff. Much like promotions, discussions take place in HQ about moderator behavior.
