Who's here a festival fan?

    Title kind of explains it all. Who goes to festivals? I'm a big festival lover and try to go to 6 or 7 big festivals each year.

    Which festivals do you visit?
    Why is/ are that/those festivals so cool?
    Which bands did you see?

    The festivals I visit are:

    Groezrock: A hardcore-, Punk festival. This is one awesome festival because they don't strictly follow the rules. Stagedives, crowdsurfing and stuff is all allowed (stagediving is prohibited at the main though)

    Vestrock: A small festival which is just a 30 minute drive from where I live. Most people I know go to this festival, and the atmosphere is really nice.

    Graspop Metal Meeting: I've been going to this festival for just two years now and this year it's going to be my third. Same as the other festival, great atmosphere. There's something about 50.000+ unshowered metalheads a day.

    Ieper Hardcore Festival: Just went to this festival in 2013 for the first time and it was awesome. As a harcore punk lover myself, this festival had it all. Just one main stage and a smaller stage, but with some HUGE names within the hardcore punk scene. Plus it is 100% vegan

    Pukkelpop: A festival where the music is more mainstream. Great atmosphere and some really nice people. Some of the bands are just bands who aren't that famous and it always nice to discover some new music.

    Crammerock: Another festival which is a 30 minute drive. The entry price is about €50 (about $62) and has some BIG names for that price. It's just 2 days for almost nothing!

    And about the bands I saw, they're just to many. Big names, small names, starters and some who are in the bussiness for quite some time. I love festivals because the freedom I have and the people who visit. Got some great memories of them, and some awesome friends I met.

    I'm more of an EDM festival sort of person! I have plans to go to EDC LV this Summer and I've been to LED, ID Fest, and NRG. Haven't been to many yet because I turned 18 recently and I figured I was close enough to becoming legal to not have to buy a fake ID haha
     
    Going to my first in August with friends from school. Reading's line-up this year looks pretty epic and I've always wanted to experience what it was like going to a festival.
     
    I love the idea of festivals but I've never been to one. Hoping to go to one next year though.
     
    I thought about buying a ticket and going to Soundwave, but I never did. I plan on going to the Vans Warped Tour this summer, however. Chunk! No, Captain Chunk!, Motionless In White, Get Scared, Crown The Empire, Falling In Reverse, Of Mice & Men, Yellowcard, Courage My Love, The Ready Set, and a lot more bands are going to be there, I can't wait.
     
    Soundwave is the best tour an Australian can ask for
    Warped tour has recently started to come back here so I'm happy for that
    Pushover fest was amazing but now it's bi-annually because of low ticket sales
    Invasion fest is good when they have good bands along with them :')
     
    Here in the Philippines we have this annual metal music festival called Pulp Summerslam. I attended this last April, 'twas awesome. I'm looking forward to experience a Tomorrowland magic someday as Im also a hardcore EDM fan. ^^
     
    I'm too lazy to drive to festivals, so the only one I attend is Vans Warped Tour since it's only about 15 minutes away. Idk I may go to Lollapalooza this summer in Chicago since it's only about 4 hours away. Country music is big in Kentucky, so a group of my friends went all the way to Nashville for the CMT awards.
     
    I go to Warped Tour a few times a year, Bamboozle, and sometimes Bonnaroo. My first festival was Warped Tour in '07. My favorites were probably Bamboozle '11 and Warped '07 cuz my favorite band played at those, and at Bamboozle '11 Taking Back Sunday surprised everyone by playing the entirety of their older albums which made for an incredible night.
     
    There are several huge festivals around where I live, so per year I attend at least two, the main ones being ACL and SXSW. This year, Outkast totally blew everyone away while performing at Austin City Limits, and as always it was really cool to hear stories from my friends about them spotting celebrities roaming the streets of downtown Austin during SXSW.
