This puzzle is now finished, so it's time to reveal the answer! The mystery Pokémon was...

Amaura!​

Lavender Rocket Hideout

Eevee looks at her puzzle and quickly thinks of an answer.

Celadon Rocket Hideout

Detective Pikachu is still in a depressive mood after his recent failure. However, they still need to help one more Pokémon. Even if he couldn't help the previous one, he figured that he should still try his best to save the last one.

It's for Eevee's sake, too. He didn't want Eevee to experience what he went through.

As Eevee enters her correct puzzle key, the door in front of her registers Detective Pikachu's correct entry as well. She heaves a sigh of relief. She hopes that her partner is doing alright back in Celadon.

Eevee enters the final room. A steel barricade seals a lone Amaura inside. Eevee uses her Sizzly Slide to make quick work of the barricade, and Amaura leaps through the opening once the sizzling has stopped. Amaura thanks Eevee with a burst of fresh snow for both Pokémon to frolic in.

Amaura has been rescued! 😄

But wait, there's more?

Answer - Puzzle #9

Courtesy of Caite-chan, we have a surprise last rescue! I won't award any points to Team Pikachu, since they didn't meet the original deadline. However, a lone member of the team was able to guess it correctly within the new deadline.

Let's see how this story ends.

The mystery Pokémon was...

Wailord!​

Celadon Rocket Hideout

Detective Pikachu sits in front of the locked door where he failed his puzzle. Alolan Dugtrio, Houndoom, Magmar, and Darumaka try to comfort him, but it's no use. He failed. All he can think of is that he can't call himself a great detective now. That's if he can even call himself a detective at all. He continues to sink into despair.

As he picks up his hat and prepares to throw it as far away as possible, a familiar cry is heard in the distance. Is it his partner, Eevee?

It is! Eevee quickly rushes to greet her friend, accompanied by Meloetta, Ribombee, Cresselia, Togekiss, and Amaura. She sees four Pokémon surrounding her friend, deducing that he failed to save one. With quick determination, Eevee snatches the hat from her yellow friend's hand and puts it firmly back on top of his head, as if to say that he deserves the hat, whatever may have happened.

It's not over yet. Eevee nudges Detective Pikachu and shows her all the friends they've both made. With the power of each and every one of them, surely they can break the door! The good detective looks at his friend and nods, being unable to hold back a smile.

With the formidable door as their target...

With one last bolt of thunderous lightning, the door breaks open, revealing a very large room containing a Wailord wrapped in vines. Everyone helps in unwrapping the poor blimp until it is completely freed. The huge Pokémon thanks everyone with one big Aqua Ring for all of them to share.

They did it. Wailord has been rescued.

Everyone has been rescued! 😄

As all of their friends celebrate, Detective Pikachu and Eevee share a tight hug.

This is the last puzzle by the way! Get-Together 2019 is ending, and its events are now winding down. Detective Pikachu and Eevee are quite ready to get out of the Rocket Hideouts with their rescued Pokémon, too.

I hope that everyone enjoyed this year's Who's That Pokémon! You guys made this really fun. Feel free to post here whatever you feel like posting that's related to this event, especially if you're trying to raise GT2019's VPP like me. ;)

You can post stuff like how you felt about the past puzzles, which ones you liked the most, which ones you liked the least, what you think the last few puzzles are, any hints you can give to fellow guessers if you already got them in the bag, etc.

But yes, even if you don't feel like posting and you're just reading, I'll end with this:

I wish I had time to dive in and guess each Pokémon. It was nice from Cid to ping me every time though.

Oh yeah! I hope the pinging wasn't too much. I just saw it in last year's thread and thought that it was a nifty way to alert people when a new puzzle comes up. 😅

In any case, that's alright, Janp. I'm sure WTP will be back soon-- perhaps in an easier form, too. I have a few ideas on how to change it up, like doing the silhouettes anime-style, zooming the clues in less, using dex entries, and using riddles.
