Honestly, I don't understand the excessive complaints.
"Oh, no, the avatars&signatures are gone!"
"Oh, no! We're stuck on one skin!"
"Oh, no! Everyone has the same Username/stats!"
And yet, despite it being not even a twenty-four hour temporary change, people still managed to complain excessively.
To be perfectly honest, at least it the site wasn't shut down.
The forums were in no way changed - all the content itself remained the same.
People complained that it was "unusable"
But how so?
Were not the forums still there?
Were not the discussions still occurring?
The forum basics themselves were no different than they were yesterday or than they will be tomorrow.
You can still post, albeit somewhat anonymously, and you can still interact as a community!
People complained, whining about the lack of avatars and signatures - that's completely trivial! Avatars and signatures, and everything else are a luxury, not a right.
Sure, it might've been an inconvenience (can you even call it an inconvenience?), but really, it was only a day! (If even that.)
At least this prank proved that the PC staff has a sense of humor (for the most part).
Because, I know I was confused for a second when I signed on earlier.
I'm sorry if I rambled, or if I've stepped on the wrong feet, but I really liked this prank.
Two thumbs up from me, PC Staff. :]
