Seriously. Capture a Pokemon with an Ultra ball and pit it against the same Pokemon at the same level caught in a Pokeball. Ultra ball will lose. Forever. Am I right?

    Well, that would depend.

Usually a Pokemon caught in a Poke Ball has been caught at a lower level than another Pokemon of the same species caught in an Ultra Ball. Because of this, the former would have more EVs than the latter, and thus would be a little bit stronger. Of course this isn't always the case: sometimes a Pokemon is caught with an Ultra Ball or other Poke Ball at a low level because you ran out of Poke Balls.

Other than the above reasoning, there simply is little to no validity to your claim. Some Pokemon are just stronger than others. The kind of Poke Ball used to capture them has no impact on them whatsoever. Seriously, you can capture two Zapdos - one with a Poke Ball, and one with a Master Ball- and each one would have an equal shot at defeating the other. Especially if caught at the same level. :\

Yeah, I've never noticed this either. I catch most of my Pokemon with Ultra Balls and they do just as well against all the in-game Trainers as the ones in Pokeballs. There is even a stat system which mentions nothing about the ball you catch a Pokemon with. That's the weirdest thing I've heard recently lol

lol. all pokeballs are the same. they have no impact to your pokemons strength or whatsoever. maybe its just that the pokemon caught in the pokeball has high IVs than the one caught in ultra ball. Or maybe the pokemon in the pokeball has earned EVs (if you ever used it in battle and killed some with it).

I don't see the relationship between the type of Poke Balls and a Pokemon's strength. Even strong Pokemon are kept in ordinary Poke Balls. I know a few people (myself included) who have caught legendary Pokemon (or ones with low catch rates) in ordinary Poke Balls in the video games.

I catch my Pokémon (that are going to be on my team) in Pokéballs because I think it looks more... original when in battle and my Pokémon are sent out. So if that was the case it's because they've been trained from a low level with good attacks.

LOL thats what I thought too...

They are stronger because they were caught at an earlier level, so more evs.

smh rn. This...isn't true. So yeah. No point keeping this open. This is like coming up to me and saying red N64's live longer than grey ones. Or something.

    Locked.
