Why do you post on forums?

I post on forums because I'm bored. I don't know why I join forums, though...
 
I really don't know. If I had to guess I would say it's because I'm always bored and I don't know what else to do with my time. That or I'm too lazy to do anything particularly productive with my spare time. Being that this is the only forum I'm actively apart of right now it's a bit of a combination of boredom and just wanting to talk about Pokemon somewhere.
 
Because I can, really.

This is the most social interaction I get outside of work. Even this isn't too much, because OVP hardly has back-and-forth discussion like other sections. *shrugs* I also like to babble. A lot. Forums are a wonderful place for that.
 
I post here because... I don't really have many people who share my Pokémon-related interests offline.Pretty much all my friends stopped watching halfway through Johto, stopped collecting years ago, and stopped playing with Crystal. It saddens me ;-;
 
Mainly because I'm bored, I'd say. Like I'm not as bored as I used to be, but I guess I'm just used to visiting forums and it's developed into a sort of habit. On other forums I'm a bit more social so I have reasons for visiting those forums (talking to online friends). I'm not really sure what keeps me coming back to PC. I don't really want to think about it, I'm content just to continue posting.
 
I joined PC simply because I couldn't find anywhere else to post about my favourite generation of games.

As for why I post here now, it kills time and it's quite therapeutic after a busy day to just sit and waffle on a forum.
 
I joined here because the forum had fanfiction, more importantly, POKEMON fanfiction and since I was into it at the time I joined. Same reason I joined SPPF. These two are really the only forums I joined that I stayed active on, i've joined others mainly because my friends made them and I was lending support, and stuff like that.

it's just nice to have a place where you can discuss your interests with other people who share them, especially when not all your irl friends are interested in them. and even though my love of pokemon fanfiction is long gone, I still like killing time by reading posts, meeting new people, and lurking in other newer sections that interest me more now (for example, video gaming and books/music/movies) :)
 
Im post because all of my other friends are addicted to facebook and are annoying beyond belief. I pretty much stay here to post with people older than me and talk about anything. ;)
 
I join and post on forums to talk about fandom. I've never understood just ~general discussion~ forums because I can't get into them, but give me an overlying theme and I'll jump right into anything because I know I already have common ground with the people there.

I'd say it's also because it's hard to find people IRL who have the same interests but... I got into forums through Pokémon and I've ALWAYS had people I can talk to IRL about Pokémon so... XD;
 
I join just to communicate, discuss, and just share what I think about the subject of the topic. That's basically it. xD. They're so much better than Facebook.
 
To have fun, also I love interacting with people, sharing my interests and knowledge about Pokemon!
