Why do you think that Ash's formerly owned Greninja never actually learned Mat Block?

'Sup, guys. Mat Block was once originally Greninja's signature move until Throh had been capable of learning this move. So in the Pokémon XY series, I'm just wanting to know why you think Ash's formerly owned Greninja had never actually learned Mat Block? Please let me know your response, thanks. :)

plus, Water Shuriken had the spotlight of being the flashy signature between it and its transformation

I would love to see Greninja return and also learn some cool new moves. Greninja is awesome :)
