6th Gen Why is everyone paying so much attention to hoopa , but none to volcanion?

So the 2013 mystery pokemon, volcanion, diancie and hoopa, have been looked into and guessed upon by the entire pokemon community! I can confidently say there is not one person who hasn't heard of at least one of them. But the one who's been getting the most attention is hoopa. Ever since diancie has been released, the hype has died down over it. But now it's all about hoopa! Volcanion is being painfully ignored, the poor bugger.

Now I will admit I, myself, am trying to obtain a Hoopa,just to study it's shape and try to make assumptions on it. But every time I look up the hidden Pokemon, volcanion comes up every 1 in 20 results. The rest is all hoopa! Now sure this might be because the hoopa event is being talked about slot, and has even been made official by the Pokemon company. But it's almost as though volcanion isn't ip even a Pokemon anymore! We're all too focused on hoopa.

Please respond to this with your thoughts.

It's because Volcanion hasn't even been "officially" revealed by Nintendo (or Game Freak, idk) yet, as well as the fact Hoopa was recently officially revealed.
It happens with every single event legendary, once it's officially revealed, it will be all hyped up until it's release, then the hype will die down.
So don't worry. Volcanion will get it's love, most likely along with the 2016 movie details when they come out.

To add to this, the next title(s) will probably be announced this year, it/they will come out for the holidays, and then right after Christmas news will break that Volcanion will be available as an event in that/those game(s).

You can just see it coming.

Despite having a unique typing, without any backstory on it, Volcano is quite boring right now. Hoopa is hot because of it's Unbound form and speculation with it's rings.

Good question - I myself have actually wondered about Volcanion for a while, considering we haven't actually had a Fire/Water-type before it. Although as others have mentioned, once it gets an event or movie confirming its existence i'm sure more will be revealed on it.

Well, if I remember correctly, when the three secret Pokemon were discovered, no one knew that Diancie has a mega evolution and Hoopa has another form until they were officially revealed, so, I guess, Volcanion will have something too. Who knows.

Regarding the typical pokefan base (OMG SO CUTE! DO WANT!!!! people) of course Hoopa gets much of the hype. I mean I'm not one to make fun of people and fellow trainers who are easily lured by something cute but Hoopa being "cute" and all pretty much gets the hype from that crowd (which is more than ones who look forward to Volcanion, such as myself).

Also, Hoopa has a rather catchy name. Volcanion is awesome and all, and i would rather talk about him, but I can't blame the poke-populace for getting HOOPAAAAAA stuck to their heads.

One: Volcanion is not official yet although found in the games gf and nintendo wont say anything about him.
Two: Hoopa and diance have movies about them volcanion has yet to have these or any sort of credibility alike.
Three: a lot of people dont really love volcanion we had a discussion about him before although his typing is cool but his structure and overall look was decided it is not that great and a lot also like Heatran to stay the volcano symbol.
Although i bet soon they will release info on him and maybe put him in Oras or they will skip to gen 7 really u never know with gf. Although i look forward to seeing a movie about him ;)

Volcanion is an unreleased event-only Pokemon. Similar to Diancie and Hoopa.
You can't "capture" it, you have to wait until it's revealed and distributed.
And like I said in the first reply of this thread, it will most likely be revealed along with the 2016 movie details around Fall/Winter 2015 or Spring 2016

Diancie was already released back in an X/Y event. Hoopa is going to get an event soon due to the movie, Volcanion still hasnt been announced. But I wont need an event I already have all 3 and the prison bottle and Diancite.

When you get Hoopa you go to any pokemart and there will be a guy standing next to the counter and he gives you the prison bottle which changes its form to its unbound form for 3 days. Look up Hoopa Unbound to find out details on it,

Not all Mythical/Legendary Pokemon are genderless. Although you are correct on these ones, Diancie, Hoopa, and Volcanion are genderless. Which honestly you'd think Diancie would be a female and 0 chance of being male but maybe that's just my opinion because of how girlish it looks.

Valcanion will not come out till a movie is based around it, which probably is next year most likely with Zygarde.

So to answer you, Hoopa is getting so much attention because it is going to be in the up coming movie. While Valcanion has yet to be officially reveled.

I didn't say you did. I was just stating the fact. Latios is a male with 0% Chance of being female and vice-versa with Latias. They aren't genderless and are Mythical Pokemon and not considered Legendary.

Valcanion will not come out till a movie is based around it, which probably is next year most likely with Zygarde.

So to answer you, Hoopa is getting so much attention because it is going to be in the up coming movie. While Valcanion has yet to be officially reveled.
