Why Nintendo is NOT dead.

Lion Heart said:
I think that Nintendo isn't DEAD, but I think Sony has some better quality games, and systems.

I also believe that Tekken 5 > Pok?mon.

You can't really compare Tekken 5 to Pok?mon =/.

The DS > PSP

Believe me v_v;; A touch screen is something you can't function without once you try it!

Er hem pokejungle. FIX THE > !!!!!!

Eh, I've tried the DS touch screen it was an intresting rush I'll admit that much. (reminded me of the new PETs in Rockman.EXE Stream) But overall the comments being made for this topic are also remind me of a joke in the Ctrl+Alt+Del web comic strip I read often.

I have one in my room and I'm not as impressed. It's fun to run around and stuff using the stylus as a control and everything, but I would still much rather use the D-pad. After using it for hardcore gaming purposes for a while, it gets really old imo, and is left for the mini-games.

Along the lines of what Britt said, tat's what makes it not as good as the PSP, it gets old.

I would totally know through not having one, but I can just imagine being forced to play with a pen.

Jason keep your queer jokes to yourself :P

Slacker, I can compare any Sony game to any Nintendo game I want, it was a statement (That's tigh, statement), about the companies.

How could I compare them on a hand held scale when Sony hasn't released the PSP yet?

You can't say the PSP is better than the DS because the DS doesn't have hardcore enough controls. The DS is not a Gameboy. The DS was designed to make a new gaming experience, which doesn't neccessarily mean a more practical one. The next Gameboy will (most likely) be a more practical gaming console with a more practical control scheme. If Sony makes a new portable with a touchscreen, on the other hand, go ahead and compare them all you want.

I think I would throw up if Microsoft bought out Nintendo. I mean sure I like Windows but Microsoft should stick with computers and stay out of the Gaming business. I heard Halo was a great game, but that is like their only big named games and big named characters. Nintendo and Sony has far more then Microsoft can ever hope for.
Sony has
Final Fantasy (the greatest RPGs of all time), Kingdom Hearts, Gran Turismo (the best racing games there is), Crash, Dance Dance Revolution, Tekken (best fighting games there are) Spyro and so on.
And Nintedo has even more like Super Smash Brothers: Melee (one of the best ever made), Mario, Pok?mon (all of you like Pikachu XD), Donkey Kong, Kirby, Metroid, Pikmin, Mario Party (one of the best multiplayer games), The Legend of Zelda (Legend of Zelda games are one of the best games you can buy, LoZ: OoT was so hard but was so fun), Star Fox, Harvest Moon, Tales of Symphonia and so on.

Nintendo isn't dead, and it's not going to die any time soon. If it was dead then how come the GBA SP sold more systems out there. It beat out the GC, the PS2 and X-Box. How come the DS sold over 1.3 million systems in like a little over 2 months? If that is dead then I don't know what is alive.

I don't know how Sony fanboys hold up their arguments. v_v;;

In PC its not as bad, but someplaces people are just constantly ripping on Nintendo and saying that its Dying/out of the race/dead.

Well I'm not a Nintendo only person. I like my PS2 and I want a PSP. But everyone looks down on Nintendo as "Kidy games" because most of the GC's games are not rated M. But there are lots of good E and T games out there (I myself like T games better, like SSBM is a T rated game).

[PokeCommunity.com] Why Nintendo is NOT dead.
Yes and I'm sure you got one to go along with all your great SPAM posts around PC.

I'm the biggest Nintendo fan on the board...Or self-proclaimed to be...Anyway:
Nintendo isn't dead. I don't understand why Sony and Micro$oft fanboys/fangirls continue to diss Nintendo. So what if the games are usually rated E-T? Graphics and maturity of games isn't everything. Look at Super Mario, one of the greatest video game icons that stood against the test of time. Nintendo has a long list of original games, as well as many supportive 3rd party games under their wing.

Nintendo:
Super Mario Bros.
Metroid
Pok?mon
Zelda
Kirby
Fire Emblem
Star Fox
etc.

Sony:
Final Fantasy
GTA
GT
etc.

Microsoft:
Halo...

Look at the sales in Japan about the DS and the PSP.

Cased closed.

I wouldn't include FF and GTA under Playstation. They have the majority of those games, but not all.

And Andy, the PS2 has ToS in Japan.

Brittany - Does it matter how fast it sold? In Japan alone, at the end of 2004 the DS sold 1,286,007 units while the PSP just 352,295 units. Although they were released 10 days apart, I don't know how much of an impact that'd make.[/font]

I didn't bring up the subject, he did. Plus, PSP had much fewer produced to sell; as soon as they sold out, that was it... they were sold out!

Infact, that's probably one of the leading reasons of why PSP is only sold in the value pack in america, the standard pack sold out completely in Japan.

If Nintendo doesn't clean up their act with the Revolution, Nintendo will still be alive, but gamers will look down upon them like they're doing now. Nintendo needs online play and better third-party support. Gamecube has little third party support as they use too. It's the second reason Gamecube is doing so poorly, the first being no online play. Nintendo, making unique products and having a lower price won't cut it anymore.

As far as I'm aware, Nintendo will be pushing both online play and better third party support with the Revolution. I've got high hopes for the Revolution and I think it could be the turning point in the console war because what Nintendo has over Sony and Microsoft is more experience in this field.

Lol no.

Did I read that right?

Did you just say Nintendo has more experience in online gaming than Microsoft and Sony?

Seriously, I hope I read that wrong.

Sony and Microsoft have WAY more online gaming experience than Nintendo.

My opinion is that Nintendo is going downhill but I still want to get Diamond and Pearl.

Games like Mario and Metroid can only keep you interested for so long, Sony has produced alot more, and lot better, quality games, Sony > Nintendo in my opinion.

Reason why Nintendo IS dying is they are running out of ideas.

Sorry, you misread my post. I meant Nintendo has more experience in Console gaming, which they have. Nintendo's consoles have been around a lot longer than Sony's and Microsoft's put together.
