I was reading through the NU discussion today, and it occured to me that with the move of flareon out off NU to limbo UU? is it? it opens up a sunny day metagame that could work, especially in UU.

The Sun Will Come Out Tmrw (Solrock) @ Heat Rock
    Impish Nature
    252 HP/ 180 Def/ 76 Atk

    Sunny Day
    Stealth Rock
    Explosion
    Reflect/Stone Edge

Solrock doesn't need a Focus Sash due to its bulkiness compared to other leads. This guy mainly sets up SR and Sunny Day, maybe a Reflect as well, then boom if its health is too low to get back.

A Tribute to Sims (Vileplume) @ Big Root
    Sassy/Calm Nature
    244 HP/ 136 Def/ 128 Sp. Def.

    Sunny Day
    Leech Seed
    Sludge Bomb
    Aromatherapy

I chose to put a cleric on this team in the form of Vileplume. It sets up Leech Seed, and Large Root passes off the largerhealth saps to other pokes who might switch in.

    Flareon @ Life Orb
    Lonely Nature
    192 Atk/ 148 Spa/ 168 Spe

    Fire Blast
    Superpower
    HP Grass
    Return

PLatinum made Flareon a much better mixed sweeper than either special or physical. Superpower breaks many walls who try to switch in, Return is for Hypno and Grumpig, and HP Grass is for Quaggy. Fire Blast is pretty self-explanatory, no?

    Shiftry @ Life Orb
    Timid/Modest Nature- Chlorohpyll
    252 Spa/ 252 Spe/ 6 HP

    Nasty Plot
    Energy Ball
    HP Fire
    Dark Pulse

NP Shiftry takes some nice support from Sunny Day. I chose HP Fire so I'm not walled by Steelix.

    Clefable @ Leftovers
    Calm Nature- Magic Guard
    252 HP / 252 Spd/ 4 Spe

    Thunder Wave
    Seismic Toss
    Encore
    Wish

I decided that I needed some Wish support for this team. Therefore, I edited BlissFable and gave it Wish instead of Softboiled.

    Primeape @ CHoice Scarf
    Adamant Nature
    48 HP / 252 Atk / 208 Spe

    Close Combat
    Ice Punch
    Stone Edge
    Punishment

My main revenge killer, and ensurer that Mantine doesn't go ZOMG U EPIC PHAIL at me.

That flareon spread and set is disturbing

    Flareon@Life orb
    Lonely Nature
    192 Attk / 148 Sp.A / 168 Speed
    - Super Power
    - Hidden Power Grass
    - Fire Blast
    - Return

    Is better.

Return lets you 2hko standard Hypno and Grumpig which shadow ball fails to do btw. Also iirc, STAB Fire Blast has MORE power than a super effective Shadow Ball.

I still think Encore is one of the best moves in the game, especially on Clefable and can go >> reflect, ev both defenses if you want.

Rain Dance teams are really problematic here, stuff like Qwilfish and Kabutops wreck you.

And dont tell me your serious about only one sunny day starter, PLEASE ._..

You need at least 2 or even 3, id like to see Sunny Day on plume, possibly >> sub.

Also there are better options >> tropius i feel, stuff like NP Shiftry, heck Victreebel pulls that set off better...even more so, since both the aformentioned pokes benefit from the sun, through chlorophyll since your team is like....slow as hell.

I see your points on everything, even though as the noob i am, still dont understand wat iirc is *shot*.

I'll change that flareon set around. Is there anything that doesn't suffer attack drops from Sunny Day that can make an effective RD Counter?

Best counter to RD teams is Golduck IIRC (If I Remember Correctly). Cloud Nine = Win.

    I don't know the set as I'm a UUnub. :P
    D_A would, because he's super-pro n' stuff. :D

I don't know what to suggest for this team, really. I'm not feeling Vile all that much, but like I said, I'm a UUnub. :P

I give you credit for using Sunny Day with all the Rain Dance running around. My all-time favorite UU Poke, Dry Skin Toxicroak, doesn't like this team all that much. :#
