Why we didn't get a DP Frontier Saga/Confusion [Spoilers]

The main reason is that DP dragged too long but I found out something else. Elite 4 members pop up here and there during the course of the Anime. I remember seeing a quick glance of one of Isshu's Elite 4 members and I thought that she looked really familiar. The colour, the hair. It turns out that she's Caitlin from DP's Frontier Battle Castle. All grown up. This person could be the reason that DP wasn't fast enough to include a Frontier saga. I should think BW will have a post-league saga.

Caitlin was like 10 in DP but now in BW she looks like 20. This brings be to ask, shouldn't Ash be 20 also? Unless he married a woman that looks just like his mum and had a kid that's just like him... no :( Then again, like I said, the Frontier wasn't shown (maybe not even mentioned but I think Palmer was in the Anime) so events involving Caitlin must have been in the past before even Ash was gone. And there's also "Game =/= Anime".

What do you guys think of all this?

Sorry if this was a major spoiler for anyone, I didn't want to know the E4 members also, but I came across a post where someone mentioned and got spoiled D: I've previously seen glimpses of the E4 and I could tell their typing from what I saw even though I didn't want to know, but aside from that, I wanted to know nothing about them. However, this Caitlin looked all to familiar and it's surprising to know she's who she is.

You also have to consider how different Team Rocket is. They definately didn't change overnight. 10 years would make this change realistic.

Well in my opinion, The Kanto Battle Frontier was just a filler saga, to build time before D&P and advertise Emerald and FRGL.

Sinnoh went on for roughly around the same time as the whole Hoenn saga. They already kinda did advertise HGSS, by making episode with random Johto episodes, and the ark with Lyra. - There wasn't really any need for a johto battle frontier...

I honestly don't see why you people tend to think the anime is made in a pattern - it's totally random and made by real people. (I'm not saying this nessesarily to you bluerang1)

I agree but i thinks his concern was with how they are going to explain caitlin in bw when theres a major time skip between gen 4 and 5. But also think about this they did it for johto(being 3 years didnt pass in the anime)

The Battle Frontier saga was just there so that Game Freak could have more time developing the Pokemon Diamond/Pearl games. They didn't have to put a second Battle Frontier saga because D/P was long enough for GF to develop B/W.

...I personally think BW was rushed, considering the lack of several features, a few of which even Generation 1 managed to get right. I see no harm that would have resulted from Game Freak postponing BW until a little while after the 3DS's release. Maybe a one-year delay would have sufficed. They could still be released as DS games marketed with "3DS playability", just how Emerald was released in America as a GameBoy Advance game after the Nintendo DS's release, yet the box still mentioned that the Nintendo DS had backwards compatibility with it.

Anyway, the end of the DP saga did feel rushed, from what I'm hearing. I'm hoping that in the future Dahlia, Thornton, Kate/Argenta, and Darach & Caitlin can appear at some point in the anime. At the speed Best Wishes is going, "filler" episodes are likely to occur at some point, and I'd rather see Ash and co. interact with the Sinnoh Frontier Brains as opposed to random, one-time Characters of the Day.

Perhaps in the anime, she was not a Sinnoh Frontier Brain? Palmer was featured in an episode (had a great battle with Rhyperior vs Ash's Grotle). Honestly I never really liked all of the Sinnoh Frontier Brains. The actual Sinnoh Battle Frontier (HG/SS as well) was great but Caitlin and Palmer were the only ones I liked as characters.

I think that it was certainly possible for them to do a short season with the Sinnoh Battle Frontier, but it wouldn't flow that well with the games which is important.
