hi, im trying to trade with someone in the same house, on the same Wi-Fi Net and only one of us can get on at a time. is this normal for pokemon? or is there something we are missing?

Wi-fi should be able to connect more than one DS at the same time, but some routers can only have a certain amount of things connecting to it.

But if you're in the same house, use the Union Room instead. Upstairs in any Pokemon Center.

You would be better off hoping that you get spikes t spikes and sr down because a pursuit from this will do like 4 damage to a poisoned abra.
