what does RNG stand for??? and how do you hack check a pokemon (s)??
Random Number Generator. To check a pokemon i think you have to upload your file from your ds to computor, and then there is a program that scans the pokemons file, and looks for red flags.

Well guys, I finally got that Flawless Ditto I've been after, which means I'll be working on RNG'ing something decent this week. Wish me luck, it's my second try.

wow....thats interesting....does anyone know what i need to hack chek?? to do those file thing..and does that have any risk on loosing my ds pokemons??

Or you could you know use the official hack check thread?

(Because it is sorta there for a reason)

Argh, I keep getting 9 as my frame. -_-''

I'm assuming the save frame?
Just start the game up again and resave. You will want to aim for an even frame.
I got 8, so now I'm on the last step. This is the part I completely fail at.
I think having trouble understanding the whole 'when to reset' thing.

The time I need to get is 11:00:18, so I subtracted a minute to get 10:59. Then I put in my AR w/Pearl and start up the game at the next minute, do my page flips (4, but people have me confused on whether the first page counts. The equation was 16-8=8/2=4) Then I mash A, but the results I get aren't even close. This is the same thing that happened when I SR'd for Absol last time. @_@

If you checked the average time to get from loading the game to entering the game world by pressing continue, it should be your seconds.

The first page when the journal opens does count as a page flip.
Wasn't that what was found when in the calibration phase? @_@ I normally get 18 or something close (like 17 or 19).

I thought so. People say weird things, though. I've heard before that each page is two, but I knew that was wrong.

Sorry, some of this technical stuff confuses me, I try my best to understand. xD I read your tutorial along with watching bearsfan092drums' tutorial, some things differentiate, though.

It might be a problem like the delay you're hitting is different from what delay you usually hit.

Eg: You might be hitting an even frame while trying to go for an odd frame.
The delay for the pokemon I'm trying to get says 621, the one I found during calibration was 627. And I think it was the fastest one I did. I also kinda felt like I did something wrong when I was looking for adjacent results, I had to try it twice to get the same spread that I originally wanted to show up.

I put in Ruby version when I was trying for my save frame, I still got 9 a lot, which is odd because I heard that putting in a 3rd gen game can change it from odd to even or vice versa.

Putting in a GBA cartridge will change the delay to either odd or even. Not the frame.

Calibration delay doesn't matter, although I'd try to go for a spread closer to 627. Did you confirm your save frame?
Oh, that makes sense then...

Yeah, I did. Should I just look for more adjacent spreads? I'm trying to go for a 31/31/31/x/31/31 spread, but I can't find many that work. If they are, they're smaller than 8, which would make the equation fail.

Try generating your results again and try to find one with a higher target frame than 8. You should have more than one.

If you don't, you'll need to get a new save frame.
I think I found one: the frame is 10. The time is 3:00:18, so I'd make it 2:59, and I'd have to get to the continue option by the 18 seconds, right? I think I'm starting to understand this more, thank you for your help. :D

Yes.
Your time is 3:00:18, so you will want to hit continue at said time.
Does it really matter what time my computer says, as long as the seconds match? I'm sure it's possible to do it without both matching, but I was wondering if it'd be any easier.
Anyway, I'll go ahead and give it another shot.

Argh, I don't know what it could be that I'm messing up. The search flips function just failed too. -_-
Last one I did showed the target time as 5:00:18, 2 hours after my target. @_@
