In the Wild Area, each of the different areas has a different weather and the pokemon that appear in the area change depending on said weather.
I know that you can change each area's weather by changing the system's date, but I can't seem to get the Snowstorm, Sandstorm and Fog weathers to appear. I've managed to get every other weather to appear but not these three.

Is there a certain condition that needs to be met before they appear? Can they not appear by changing the date, like, they're attached to other weathers and you have to wait for time to change the weather? Do they only appear on specific dates? I'm not sure if the weathers are the same for everyone or if they are specific to your game, but if they're fixed and someone has managed to get these weathers, I'd like to know.

    Thanks.

I'm not sure, but my guess is that they are rarer than the others, which would make sense to me given their nature. I do recall the stream link prior to game release has Snowstorm on their first visit, and I don't think they did anything special prior.

As said though, just a guess.

Yeah, for some reason now, I'm now getting snowstorms, even when I change the date.

Maybe they're only available after you get the 3rd badge? Because that's the only difference from yesterday I can see.

    EDIT:
On further investigation, I'm getting both snowstorm and sandstorm but not fog. I'm going to assume that since these 2 weathers appeared after I got the 3rd badge, that fog doesn't appear until later in the game. I'll probably re-edit this comment when I see fog.

Actually, I got a hailstorm without even ONE badge.

    It might be completely random.

And I wouldn't manually change the date. Game Freak has a history of making their games loophole proof. More than likely, altering the clock delays any change until the NEXT time it's set to change.

Was the hailstorm weather snowy or snowstorm? There's a difference.
Snowstorm makes the area darker and has heavier snow than snowy weather which is just a light snow.

Uhm, hard to say. But one completely new weather condition I saw there yesterday was Thunderstorm.

Gotta go back and explore it a little more...

It seems to set off randomly, I kept trying to find Dreepy at Lake of Outrage but it kept snowing the past 1.5 day for me, finally it was rainy and I found Drakloaks instead; though at 1%, and killing 2 of them (Meh) I finally caught a male and a female after 30 minutes and bred them. Dreepy would be so much harder to spot otherwise because of the tall grasses, the low encounter rate and the huge Pokemon running after you.

I checked it out today before getting my first Badge, and the Giant's Seat area was clearly Overcast. Mostly saw Ghosts and Psychics there (no Ralts, unfortunately) but almost all the Pokemon there were too powerful to catch, so I made a note to come back later.

You need to become the champion in order to get fog to appear.

And these are the dates to set the Switch to to force each weather condition:

    Clear: 5/1/2020
    Sunny: 7/1/2020
    Cloudy: 3/1/2020
    Rain: 10/1/2020
    Thunderstorm: 11/1/2020
    Snow: 12/1/2020
Hail: 2/1/2020 (must have at least 4 badges)
Sandstorm: 4/1/2020 (must have at least 4 badges)
Fog: 6/1/2020 (must have defeated the Champion)

    Thanks, that's great info.
I'm pretty sure hail and sandstorm are after the 3rd badge, since that's how I got them to appear.
Fog appearing only after the champion is disappointing; it locks out a bunch of pokemon to the post-game.
Did you check if fog appeared after the 8th badge and not just in the post-game?

    EDIT:
Okay, after taking 12 years to get the 8th badge, Fog is still not showing up.
I guess this confirms that it is post-game only which, as I said, is a bit disappointing.
