[PokeCommunity.com] Wild double battles: Does it make it easier to train?

In Black and White, when you step onto darker patches of grass, you may find yourself facing two Pokemon instead of one. These can be two of the same type of Pokemon or two completely different ones, but the catch is that you won't necessarily find double battles everytime you step on the dark grass patches - because sometimes there's just normal battles!

How do you feel about the chance of encountering wild double battles in darker grass within certain routes - is it easier to train with the upgraded experience system?

Do you use this to your advantage to possibly help train a weaker Pokemon without having to pay money if you lose (also considering there are no trainer rematches)? Or do you think this is annoying and would you prefer going back to just single battles when you walk through the grass?

I really love wild double battles. And for that reason, I've been spending a lot of time training just before Pinwheel forest just so that I can encounter somewhat strong Pokemon in wild double battles. Apparently they were in DPPT but I didn't notice them at all in Pearl, while in B/W they appear to be more common imo.

Well I'll say it's interesting to me how it works out, but it's a shame they couldn't include shaking grass in those tiles as well.

Though, they do have higher-leveled Pokemon, so it's balanced out in a sense.

I've loved wild double battles ever since the first one in Pearl, with Cheryl.
Now it is a more common feature, and I love it. It's also sometimes better to train some of my weaker Pokemon when I still haven't progressed much in the game.

Battling against two Pokemon is better than fighting one when your training your Pokemon and it also gives you more exp but it will also depends on what level your Pokemon is and the opponent, if you are low level it is good but if the opponent is too strong then your in deep trouble.

i really like the wild double battles. it makes training easier i just wish there were more spots that had that i havent found a wild double battle since before pinwheel forest. :(

Thus far I have exploited the double battles in Pinwheel at the very least, I have found it too be a good assist when training weaker ones then grinding your stronger ones at the same time.

I think it's a pretty nice touch. I liked them in DPP, but there were simply not enough to make it worthwhile back then. Now that I can go into them just about anytime I want through the dark grass and it's definitely a good way to add some variation,

Umm... It's a great way to rack up experience, but Audino is even better, though. At least I do get something different.

I think it's a great idea! Only sometimes do I utilize it though.
Last night I was in the darker grass so I could double train my team and hopefully evolve Solosis to final form faster, but not let anyone fall behind. xDD
I kinda wish the double battles weren't always "sometimes" in the darker grass, and it was always.
Nevertheless, it is a really nice implement to the series, but I'm afraid that Audino still stands as the better grind mechanism. D:
