Hunters were coming. Hara was just a pup then, and very scared. Her mother had told her that when hunters came, go to the caves by the river. Hara was so frightened she ran as fast as she could toward the caves, stopping for nothing. If she even slowed down, a hunter would catch her for sure.
But when Hara got there, her family wasn't there. None of them. Hara waited patiently for hours, but still, no one came. Hara eventually fell asleep in the dark cave and woke up the next morning, still no one there. Hara was beginning to feel hungery, and scared that her family had been captured, or worse, killed.
Hara couldn't risk that happening. But she continued to say at the cave for the next few days, too scared to do anything. Everyday, she would live off of small rabbits she had caught the second day. Hara would also survive off of the river water, so aweet, and clear. Fresh river water gave her strength and made her believe that her family was out there. Some where...
