Actually it is one of the top tier Pokemon because it can learn a wide array of moves such as Ingrain + Baton Pass (which NO Pokemon learn, that means Baton Pass teams need Smeargle or they will get PHazed by Roar and Whirlwind), Spider Web + Baton Pass, Belly Drum + Baton Pass, Spore (which only Breloom and Parasect learn), Spikes, Trick, Destiny Bond, Endeavor, etc. If you were trying to use offensive moves on Smeargle, then you're using it wrong, it's mainly just a support Pokemon that utilizes its only decent stat (Speed).

It's mainly used for as a Baton Passer, Spore + Stealth Rock + Spikes + Taunt lead, etc. Smeargle is the top 43 Pokemon used today, and is the top 12 lead, so a lot of people use it (and it's in OU).
 
Smeargle is not pathetic O.O , its movepool is larger than Mew and Arceus and you call that Pathetic ? it is a nice lead that helps me set up 3 spikes easily =D

and yeah , Belly Passer Smeargle if Passed to CB Scizor , it will Wreak Havoc

But, why would you pass boosts to a Choice Band holder? @__@ It makes more sense to pass it to a Life Orb holder, that way you can use three other moves (and not be completely walled by 4x Steel-type resist Pokemon like Heatran).

Yes, but that is why people use Spore (which is practically on every Smeargle), Endeavor, etc on him. And, obviously you wouldn't keep Smeargle on faster Pokemon. :x

Well i never used a Smeargle in a Batlle, because of the people i fight against, they are very strong and a Smeargle will never last 1 turn -_-'
 
Oh and another reason why passing a +6 boost to CB Scizor is stupid: Choice Band does not give a boost once you have +6 Attack, where as Life Orb still does. :x So really, holding CB is like holding nothing, since it isn't boosting anything.

Well that was sure an interesting discussion. I've never used Smeargle myself. I dunno why. Just one of those Pokes I never thought about.
