I start my work experience tomorrow, and basically, it's in the one place (apart from a nursery) that I don't want to be in when I leave uni - an offiice! Thankfully, my aunt is basically my boss for the week, so I'm not expecting anything too daunting, but I was wondering what I should expect for the week?

Oh, and if I see anyone saying "Good Luck" or "Hope you have a good time" or other crap like that... then I'll castrate you if you're male, or do something equally painful if you're female. I'll do this simply because it offers me no support, and shows that you either obviously have never been on it before, or had a brilliant time on your work experience :D

Liek, omg! I hope you have lots of fun! :D

    *runs*

...seriously though, I've never been on one and have close to no idea what it is. XD So you basically just pretend you work somewhere for a week? o_O Do you get paid? *curious~*

Mwar... an office is better than what I was doing for 2 months for work experience O_O

Nick, Erica, Brookes... prepare to die! XD

But work experience isn't "pretending" to go to work. You actually go to work for a week. I had nowhere else to go (I tried a hospital, school, university, even Cartoon Network UK for crying out loud) but ended up with an office -_-

Heh heh, work exp. I remember it as if it were yesterday. I went to the Vets for a Week down near my school. I remember going in and being introduced to the staff and going straight into morning surgery with one of the vets....I hated it x_x I was bored out of my skull, all I ever did was clean, I went into surgery twice and that was it, nothing more.

I was the only one to have not enjoyed it though. I ended up going back to school for the last day because I was having such a horrible time. I called in sick once because I couldn?t stand sitting around for hours on end with only my drawings to keep my company.

But seriously now, it's all down to what you choose and of course what you like. But the truth is, I hated mine.

But many of the ones that went to work at an office said it was quite fun. You basically just muck about XD That?s what I heard anyways, but I was the only one out of whole year not to enjoy it, so I'm sure things will turn out fine for you MCD ^_-

But I wouldn?t recommend going to a Veterinary surgery to anyone x_x

Oh, yeah, mwar, I forgot to tell you to have a good time XD

*runs while MCD chases him with a butcher knife*

Well congrats MCD. I plan to work in the summer. I hope you have a great time.

My first work experience was meh-ish XD. I went to a web design place, which is what I want to do, but because at that stage I hadn't had a chance to use Dreamweaver they didn't let me do any coding. (They would have otherwise.) Basically, I spent a week there, spellchecked three websites, burnt a backup CD and spent the rest of the time in a Sailor Moon chatroom. (I actually started using this screen name in my work experience week.) It was pretty good fun though. I installed a printer on their network because they couldn't work it out and then they found out that I skipped 3 years at school and decided I was a genius XD. My second work experience was in a research facility, I got to use a supercomputer but aside from that it was the most boring thing ever. I got it as part of a prize for being the best science student in my school in year 11 XD.

    Work experience is boring. =P

I've never had work experience, so I'll just hope you come out alive. xD The power of thought, ya know... XD

No one comes out of work experience alive. Muahahahaha.
