Anyone here play Wow? I'm sure there are XD

I got it about 4-5 months back now after my ex's house mate sat me down at his computer and forced me to make a character and try it out because he wanted someone to baby. I curse him to this very day for getting me into it, as the very same day I was down GAME and grabbing myself a copy of both the original game and Burning Cruisade.

A good two months of my life were spent on the thing, non stop. Litterally home from work and straight on and because he had it too, I couldn't even go up my Ex's without being tempted XD

So here I am a level 67 night elf hunter with a level 59 Night elf Death Knight with various other character and still playing. Of course my interest died a little when I got back into my 360 games and I started to go out again and concerntrate on my Uni work XD

    So whats your Warcraft story?

I used to, but I didn't feel it warrented the subscription fee, so I directed that money into XBox Live and started playing guild wars (Then got bored of that :P)

I played WoW for a couple of months, it was fun for a while but soon enough I realised that I was doing the same thing over and over again.
It became boring once I realised this, but I couldn't stop playing. The game is just doing recycled quests over and over and occaisionally doing a dungeon or a raid, as critical as that sounds, it's true.
Most of the content is for the end gamers, there aren't enough features that the more underleveled people can enjoy, and if there is any, it's become outdated by stronger dungeons.

However, on the plus side, the game has an intriguing lore that sucks you in to learn more about. Maybe it's because I'm just a fan of storylines and how a game story is told, but it's really fun to learn about how the Undead came to be or why Arthas is such a jerk.
The world of Azeroth is also a sight to see, the many areas all have different environments, so it's refreshing to see the coves of Westfall, or the jungles of Stranglethorn Vale. I took quite a few pictures that are still on my PC that show the best of the detail of the world.

I quit playing because I was stuck in PvP, getting better equipment for two weeks. I then thought about whether it was worth paying for this mindless grinding for marks, but then my dad finished the persuasion by forcing me to cancel my subscription.
Another problem with the game is the obsession that comes forth. Many people can lose their entire social lives playing this game, it's kind of sad to see people lose thier friends or relationships because they refused to go out with them to play World Of Warcraft. Not to mention that the raid guilds even PROMOTE this. I was told by an experienced player that - in some guilds, you must be on the game EVERY day to plan a raid, and then do it. If you miss one raid, you have the danger of being kicked. What a load! People want to have fun with raids, since when does it have to be such a business?

Anyway, in all, the game has an immense and interesting story and lush surroundings, but the game itself is somewhat one-dimensional. There need to be different kinds of quests to keep people interested when they're soloing. I'm sick of killing the same animal 50 times to get 6 items...

I've been switching in between accounts for like 2 years now. I used to have a 70 NE Rogue. Then my account got hacked adn stolen. I was too lazy to get it back. Now, just recently, I got my friend's account since he quit. I have a 60 Tueran DK (They're so over populated), a 74 NE Hunter, and a 71 Orc Warr.

I played a Trial version, but I got bored easily. I didn't bother to play the rest of my trial.

Meh, it gets better after 20 in my opinion. 1-20 is kinda bland. The fun level increases by a lot if you play with a irl friend.

I played WoW for a month and it appealed to me then, but not now. When I stopped, I was a level 38 Night Elf Druid. Too cartoonish for me. >_<

Oddly enough, it works the oposite for me.
I get bored at level 20 because the abilities and the class loses the fun it once had due to using the abilities so often.

Hated 1-20 after I played it the first time. 20-30 was kinda fun. 30-40 was the most annoying and boring level jump ever. 40-50 took for ever but was cool. 50-60 was a peice of piss and now 60-70 is taking my forever, but I'm enjoying the Outlands =D

Gah, I have one more level to reach before I can deem myself ready to go there XD. I really need to start pushing myself otherwise I'm gonna get lazy again XD
I bought the Lich king just to get the death knight at the moment, but now I'm glad I got it when I did because I'm nearly lv68 ^_^

Wow, well done Claire ^_^ I'm still struggling XD

Awesome Ausy! I play with some work mates and my brother who just got it. My work mates and I started horde characters. They were all Undead and I went Blood elf so we could have a Pally XD Looks od whenever were together just because I'm the only Bloodelf in a group of 6 XD

    *Ist specialz*

I tried playing that about two years ago. It was not pretty. xD
I think it's just the fact that I don't know what to do...

I think I'd be extremely obsessed with it, if I only played it. XD I tried the free trial version over the summer, but on my old laptop it didn't work well at all. Now I'm a bit too busy to get too addicted with three games on my plate, work, and trying to get a 3.6 GPA in college so I can transfer next fall...but perhaps when June rolls around...hmm.

Yay WoW. \o/ Aegis, Cowrie, Lightning, Aurapostle and I play it together. :3 Aegis, Cowrie, Pink had been playing for a long while, Erica and Nick joined in really recently.

Is there an opening in that squad? XDD

Afraid not. Audy, Jeff and Jess all get mad at Erica and myself for being, like, AEGIS behind them in levels and then they start yelling at us because we don't know what we're doing and accidentally randomly shoot LIGHTNING at chickens and COWries.

I eat Aurapostles for dinner on WoW, good fun, I should probably actually buy the game sometime soon so I can continue eating Aurapostles
