World Travelers?

i'd like to

i'm getting out of the tech sector and going into driving specifically so i can travel more. i want to travel the country. i'm hoping to get my cdl in spring.

Once you start, I highly recommend taking I-94 from Fargo, ND all the way across to at least Billings, Montana. The western parts of ND and eastern Montana remind me of the original frontier, true American west. Very few cars and people, beautiful countryside.

Let's say I'm a Western Europe traveler... :p Been to Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Germany. Favorite countries it's hard to say, but some of my favorite cities I've been to are Vilamoura (Portugal), Paris (France), Aachen (Germany), and Naples (Italy).

My number 1 dream destination would definitely be the USA. I'm a big admirer of American culture and history, and the whole country sounds magnificent but I'm particularly attracted by the big cities. I'd love to live in a city full of skyscrapers. Plus, as a future programmer, the career prospects are better in the US than anywhere else in the world so it's one of my goals to move there as soon as I can.

Australia is a close second. It also has the whole package: big cities, beaches, wide-open spaces, etc. And in terms of weather it sounds like paradise.

And then I'd also love to visit the UK, the Scandinavian countries (not to live there, though, way too cold for me... :p), and a number of tropical islands/archipelagos such as the Bahamas, the Maldives, and Bora Bora.

Come on over and visit! We've got plenty of skyscrapers, NYC has my top favorites! I tend to favor the old art deco style buildings like Empire State and Chrysler.

Australia is amazing and if not for the huge spiders, I would consider living there 😆

Maldives are on my list, even though Bahamas are crazy cheap to visit from here. You should check out the Cook Islands too, down near New Zealand!

NYC is definitely at the top of my list! I would even consider living there if not for its very high cost of living and maybe the weather. But still, it's pretty much the cultural center of the world and I would love to experience the vibrancy of Manhattan in particular.

And yeah, apparently Australia has all the most dangerous animals in the world xD

I dream of visiting the whole region of Oceania since I'm a little kid, it seems to have some of the most wonderful places on Earth.

As someone who lives in nyc I definitely think you'll find some really unique sights here! And if you get tired of the city there's always New York State and even Pennsylvania a train ride away. Lots of pretty mountain towns and rivers/lakes. Plenty of variety ❤️ Though I wouldn't choose to live here permanently if I could help it haha, it's nice to visit!

Unfortunately, I'm not a world traveler. I've only been to the US and Aruba. But I love traveling, and have the goal of visiting 6 continents along with every US state. So far I guess I visited 2 continents if Aruba is in South America, and 11 states. I am studying international relations, which can mean I get to travel. Plus I'm studying Chinese, so that could lead me to China or hopefully Singapore.

I think Aruba is part of South America geographically, I'm not sure on that one.

I was planning to take the cruise from Buenos Aires to Antarctica next Winter but I'm not sure when they'll resume given the way things are now. Plus it's kind of expensive, but I think worth it.

But if you want to fly down and visit the South Pole it only will cost you $45,000 USD! I will stick to arriving by boat and seeing the coast 😂

I've been to the greater majority of the U.S., several coastal locations in Mexico, Bermuda, U.S. virgin islands, Jamaica, Quebec, Brussels, Barcelona, Rome, Naples, Pisa, and Genoa.

Top five would be the virgin islands, Jamaica, Barcelona, Naples, and Pisa. My next out of country vacation is hopefully going to be Japan, it's just a matter of finances. If not Japan, then Ireland or Chile are my next choices.

I would suggest to fly from Florida to Peru first, then take a flight into Chile with SkyAirline. It is much cheaper as of my visit last November. My friend Patricia operates personal guided tours in and around Santiago, so I highly recommend her if you would be looking for a guide.

As for Japan, I usually will go from Vancouver's airport where the tickets are usually lower (around $350-$400) but make sure you get a JR Pass before you go so you can have unlimited access to the Shinkansen fast trains.

I'm based in Virginia so it's easier to reach major airports like NYC with just a few hours of driving. But sadly I've never been to the Republic of Ireland. Only Northern Ireland for less than twelve hours.
