Allright, goona try this new lil' poll out. I'll do more if it gets good replies. So as the name says what do you prefer better, anime or manga? I'll post my reply to the subject matter later.

Anime - seems that more people are willing to sub than scanlate. :/

Seems no ones willing to pay for ti anymore <----Was it me or did that sound...diffrent?

Manga. It usually comes first and most of the time it is better IMO to the anime. But the Yu Yu Hakusho anime proves that the anime can be better the manga. I get a btter feeling of actually being in the story when I read it. Sure I like anime to, but manga just gave me more time to enjoy the story and the rich art.

It depends on how far you go into it those subjects to really compare them properly, but I personally like manga better then anime just a bit. Sometimes manga's have better storyline then some anime, and also their always diffrent.

Usually I stay pretty loyal to whichever branch of the fandom I came in on. XD; And for most Japanese fandoms, I've seen the animes first. I know the mangas have different storylines and are more generally preferred, and sometimes I do prefer certain things about the manga versions, but they're also usually gorier. Heh. Like there's so many beheadings in Rurouni Kenshin, manga version. O__o And Kaoru seems even more abusive, which is one of the traits I already didn't like about her in the anime. XD; Mangas usually have more swearing in them than their anime counterparts, which I frown upon. And sometimes I just like what's done with the characters in the animes better. Like the Doom saga of YGO. It's anime-only and I'm loving it. I do appreciate mangas (heck, without mangas, most of the animes I love wouldn't exist!) and I even collect a few titles, but overall I do prefer anime in the end.

I'm going with Anime. My thoughts between the two are overall, the same as everyone else?s. Yes, I feel manga is normally better than it's anime counterpart, but I just prefer the convenience of anime. Kind of a stupid reason, no?

    Me = a lazy bum. o_o

I prefer anime because I like sitting down and seeing any action or drama or whatnot right in front of my eyes, animated, instead of looking at it in a relatively static form. I just can't get myself to read things at times, as well...and I'm also a big sucker for anything animated.

Plus with anime, there's the chance of some nice music being played along with it. :P

I'm also just more used to anime. I've been watching it for longer than I've been reading manga. So...yeah, those are my reasons, I suppose. o_o

Eh, close call for me. In nthe end, though, I have to give manga the edge, maybe because that's how I was first introduced into the manga/anime culture. I still remember it well, it was Gundam Wing: Episode Zero. I had no idea who any of the folks involved were, but I loved it. From there, I was a hopeless case...You lot should have some experience with the rest.

    Besides, manga's cheaper...

Manga would start it out because it holds the original plot, and then its ripped apart by the anime makers XD kinda like those book movies, but not nearly as ripped apart as a bunch of dubs XD

Anime i like though, they help give voice to the characters and some of the fillers are fun to watch XD

    TIE!!!

I actually like both versions(which is why I buy both XD)
For instance, the Yu Yu Hakusho anime ending has a sweet sunset like ending.
The manga does have a similar ending plus it lets us have one more plotline involving characters not involved in the Makai Saga in the anime(Kuwabara for one). Also, the manga lets us see what they are all doing in their lives before they meet up again at Genkai's Temple.
DBZ anime vs. manga. I'd have to say anime. Manga misses out on a lot of character development. The Saiyan Saga is a good example. We look more at Gohan's training life. One part involved him meeting a robot in some ruins under the sand. This whole episode helped him become a tougher boy.

I would have to go with Anime, simply because I just love watching animated things. The characters seem a bit more realistic to me when they're moving and talking. ^_^; Plus, most of the shows have really pretty music, (like InuYasha, for example) so I like to listen to the songs.

Even though there are some manga books that I really love, (like the Tokyo Mew Mew series... those are the best!) I would still have to go with Anime.
