"Thanks mister," He said, a happy look on his face as he looked around, seeming to try and find an ice cream cart. "But I don't like ice cream." I said, sitting down on the bench next to him, as I turned back to normal now that I was sure no one was watching, gently petting the cat which had come to David earlier in my lap.

"Thought so..." I muttered as I lifted my hat quickly to scratch my ear, then close it just as quickly. "Love... something god forbids me to have for some reason." I said randomly, just to see Robert's reaction. I had gone way too long without meeting a nice girl...

"You, and about every other unfortunate mutant on this planet." I said, leaning back. Truth be told, I didn't know the whole story, but judging from the institute, and from the media, it seemed that most people were afraid of getting into a relationship with mutants, as were the few mutants who either admitted to being so, or were unnable to hide it. I wouldn't mind finding someone either, but for me to even begin to get serious, it had to be Ms. Right...

I walked down the street, watching other nonchalantly with my hands stuffed deep in my pockets. It was a little chilly outside, but I was secretly generating heat in my pockets, so that kept me a little warm. Though I still regreted not bringing my jacket. I looked around, trying to find someone I recognized so I could hang out today.

"I'll find someone... someday..." I said wishfully, before snickering and turning to Robert. "You, on the other hand, would need the luck of the gods." After finishing with my two cents, I got up, and began to walk away, looking for a girl I could maybe talk to.

I bristled at his words, and was already thinking of a way to get back at him. I had an idea, but it would take a while. I followed after him, whispering once I caught up with him "I really don't see why, as I can be as handsome as I choose, if I want to. If I find someone I like, I want them to like me for more than my face." I said, slowly beginning to move away from david, already my idea was taking shape wonderfully...

I glanced at the girl as I walked past her. She was nice, but I didn't stand a rat's chance. At that moment, I wasn't watching where I was going, and collided with a trash can, and hit the ground with a thud. I sat up, now a little bit dazed, but perfectly fine.

ooc: A little too thick with the seduction, Shiney. :S

ic: I heard a clatter nearby and saw someone walk blindly into a group of trashcans. I ran over to the person, helping him to his feet. "Hey, are you alright?" I aske, brushing dirt and garbage off his clothes. "You need to watch where you're going."

"Yeah, I know." I said, embarrassed. I went to fix my hat, but as I was about to take hold of it, the wind blew it off my head, revealing my black cat ears. "Oh no..." I muttered as I grabbed the hat, and quickly placed it on my head again, hoping nobody noticed.

I stared in surprise. I was close enough to see that wasn't any headband. "Dude, what are you doing with cat ears?" I asked quietly, so the girl nearby didn't hear. "walking around so easily found? are you trying to get caught?" I asked. " Be glad I'm mutant friendly."

I threw a pop can at Robert that had spilled from the garbage can, then turned to the guy. "Well excuse my for not having a more suitable disguise." I muttered as I straightened my cap. "It's not my fault I'm like this..." It was true, I had always been half cat.

Yi-Ling looked up curiously, hearing the sound of someone crashing onto a trash can. It was a boy... with cat ears?

A fellow mutant, probually... she thought, feeling pity for the boy, who was talking to two boys.

Yi-Ling got up, hoping that they wern't going to harass him... she walked next to them, pretending to study a flower, but she was really listening intensly to their conversation....

"That sounded so fake it's obvious." I muttered. "I'd dare say you know this guy, but since I have never seen either of you before, I won't make that assumption. And I was talking to him." I said, emphasizing that last word. "You weren't supposed to be listening in." I growled.

"Oh yeah, Robert is a mutant too..." I muttered. "He can shapeshift, though he has the worst attitude in the world about things. He's very dumwitted at times...."
I glanced around to see who was there, and pulled yp my left pant leg, revealing a black cat tail tied to my leg so it wouldn't flail about.

They're all mutants? she heard, eyes widning in happiness, shock, and...surprise.

As she tried to lean closer, she tripped on one of her shoelaces, falling down with an,

"Ahhhh~!" she shrieked, rather unladylike.

"Yikes!" I cried, as I offered my hand to the girl. "Are you okay? That was a nasty tumble!" I hoped she was okay, I really did, because I didn't know first aid. She was a very good looking, attractive girl, but that was besides the point. Right?

OOC: Well, now I can't really post, since I can't find a reason that pogi's character would know that mine is a guy, or that david would suspect that it's robert. I'm fresh out of ideas. >_< Rper's block must be contagious.

"Thanks..." Yi-Ling said shyly, grabbing hold of his hand blushing something fierce all the while.

She stood up, gazing at the boy's hat for quite a while, wondering about the drastic measures that he had to take.

"I'm sorry for disrupting your conversation..." she said apologetically, bowing slightly.

"You saw them didn't you?" I asked as I examined her. "And you're welcome. It isn't every day I get to help a beautiful girl." I blushed a bit and then turned away. I glanced around, and removed my hat, seeing as nobody else was around. "Yes, I'm part cat. So?"
