"You saw them didn't you?" he asked. Yi-Ling nodded, a bit ashamed that she had glimpsed at something that he had meant to be hidden.

"And you're welcome. It isn't every day I get to help a beautiful girl." He said.

Hearing this, Yi-Ling blushed as well, and tucked a loose strand of her hair behind her ear.

To her surprise, he removed his hat again, "Yes, I'm part cat. So?"

?No, it?s just I hardly see a fellow mutant?? she said shyly, looking down at her shoes.

"Fellow? That means you're a mutant, too?" I asked as I looked her over again. It wasn't often I met a beautiful, girl, mutant.

"Names David." I said as I extended my hand, hoping she'd shake. "This is... awkward."

"And I..." Said a young, brown haired girl with hazel eyes, who had snuck up behind david during the commotion. "Am his long time friend." I finished, as I stepped out from behind him. "I'm known as Chal." I said, as I stood up straight. I knew what David would try to say on this, and thankfully I had just the right thing to say in return when he did...

"Fellow? That means you're a mutant, too?" he asked. Yi-Ling nodded, shrugging her sholders.

"Names David." he said as he extended his hand, "This is... awkward."

"I'd say," Yi-Ling replied, shaking his hand, smiling. "I'm Yi-Ling."

"Cool name too." I said as I stomped on Robert's toe, not saying a word about it. "That girl is a friend, sometimes. She can be a little immature about things."
After finally mustering up enough courage, I had to ask Yi-Ling something. "Hey, you maybe wanna get pizza together later... or something?"

I glared at David when he stepped on my foot, and decided not to say anything. I'd just give away some emberassing secrets later on. I wouldn't say anything here though, because frankly, the prospect of meeting a new mutant caught my intrest as well. She seemed rather shy, but nice, so I waited, listening to what they would say.

"Cool name too." he said as I stomped on Chal' s toe, as Yi-Ling looked on curiously. "That girl is a friend, sometimes. She can be a little immature about things." Yi-Ling smilied, nodding her head in greeting.

"Hey, you maybe wanna get pizza together later... or something?" David asked suddenly.
"Sure... that'll be nice." she replied, smiling. It's been a while since someone asked her out... especially after they found out...

"Really? Cool." I said, very shocked that I had gotten a yes. "There's still one more thing I need to show you." I said as I pulled a black cat tail out of my pants, and it wriggled around behind me. "So... When do you want to go?" I was going out. ME of all people.

I watched the whole precedings as I leaned against the alleyway of the wall. I had yet to be discovered as a mutant, and so far that was a good thing. It would have been better for me to slip away unnoticed, but I could help sit there and grin in amusement, watching the catboy and the new girl struggle to talk about stuff, saying "Cool." almost constantly.

"Really? Cool." David replied, seemly shocked.

"There's still one more thing I need to show you." He added as he pulled a black cat tail out of his pants. Yi-Ling looked on in amazement. Was it? wise to do this? she thought, looking around worriedly.

"So... When do you want to go?? he asked, bring her attention back. ?Oh, anytime would be fine. If you wanted to, we could go now?? she replied, wearing a hopeful expression on her face.

Above where they were talking, I was releived they had not noticed the large literal ice bird above them. I had let myself freeze over, and I had been watching for a long time now, silently laughing at the turn of events, though I never let myself make a single sound. I looked with shock at the wall, as the sun through my wings was making a display of colors on it. I hoped they wouldn't notice

My eye had twitched involuntarily, and that was all that brought my attention to the light on the wall. I gazed at it for a moment, thinking of what could cause it. I saw the shadows, so I could give an estimate of where the shape could be. Silently, I turned my head, and glansed up to see, a bird? This wasn't an ordinary bird though, it looked like it was made of crystal. i kept my eyes, unblinking on it. As I saw it, if it stayed still for an hour or so, it was a decoration. If it moved, it was either a machine, or some sort of mutant...

I would have swallowed hard if I could. I had been spotted. I stayed perfectly still for a few seconds, but the human's gaze unerved me, and before I could really control myself, I had taken flight, leaving the area to try and find shelter where I could assume my human form and move on.

I darted after the bird the moment it took off. Thankfully, I could track it easily in the beams of light shining from the gaps of the canopy. It didn't look like any machine I had ever seen, so my guess was that it could only be another mutant. My mind was spinning with the possibilities, as tseeing it didn't tell me much about their powers, short of the fact that they could assume the form of a crystal bird...

Seeing Robert take off, I looked an noticed teh bird as well. "no bird get's that big, and no bird looks like that." I muttered to myself. "Something's going on here." Imuttered, giving chase as well, staying just out of sight of Robert so he didn't see me following him.

ooc: Miyu, You powerplayed. :\ You can't control David's Character like that.

OOC: actually Pogi, what she was doing was repeating what he was saying individually, and adding her thoughts in between, its not really powerplaying.

IC: I saw both of them following me, and looked for an area to hide. This was dangerous for me, I didn't know why they were following me or if they were dangerous. Finally, I tilted my wings straight down, seeing one of the drainage grates, and I prepared to melt and dive.

I myself saw this, and continued dashing forward. If I couldn't intercept it at the grate, if it somehow managed to get through it, then I could become a moth, and change back on the other side. "Wait!" I hissed out, hoping that it could hear me or not, and hoping that if it did, it would listen to me.

I heard his voice, and I didn't even have time to think, i just reacted, I twisted my ice body around, flapping my wings to break the momentum of the dive, and my stomach grazed the grate as I leveled, then landed on the ground near it. I was berating myself in my mind, but now that I had instinctivly reacted to the order, I was stuck.

I kept my distance, curious as to why the Ice bird headed the call to wait. I was simply an observer. Right now I had no intention to interact. I would maintain anonymity as much as possible, adn who knows, maybe I'd come out of this the wiser with no one knowing a thing about me.

Sneaking furtively near the group of friends, which were supposedly mutants, Isabelle searched for a hiding spot, which was behind a nearby tree, and quickly climbed it. She kept quiet and listened attentively at their conversation. She was interested in what the cat-like boy, whom she named 'Catman', was going to tell Yi-Ling--an older sister-like figure to her--and what Yi-Ling's reply would be.

~"Hey, you maybe wanna get pizza together later... or something?"?
~"Sure... that'll be nice."

Grinning madly, she clapped her hands, cheering. "Yaaay~! Sissy got a date!" Realizing that she had yelled out loud, she clasped a hand over her mouth and whirled away, maintaining her balance at the tree branch, and hoped that they hadn't heard her.
