    Credit to my man Karp for bringing this up as an event to do here.

    Introduction

    Welcome to the XY OverUsed Ladder Race!

    The idea of this event is that everyone who signs up creates a fresh alt that has not played any XY OU matches. For a set period of time, everyone will ladder on the Smogon XY OU ladder, and whoever has the highest peak at the end of that timeframe wins. Every few days, I will update standings, kept in the OP, to reflect how everyone is progressing. The timeframe will be approximately 2 weeks and will start within the next week.

    If you want to participate, indicate that you wish to do so while also posting the alt you will use for the event. Once I close sign-ups, the race will begin.

    And just for a little added incentive, if you manage to get to first on the ladder at any point, you'll automatically be crowned champion or co-champion (co-champion if you are somehow surpassed after your peak). Good luck with that, D_A.

    Gone this week so I cant play, but I reached 1,8k-ish the week before the Deoxys' got banned (and my team was very weak to DeoSharp), so I guess it's somethint. XY is probavly less aids than it was back then, but I told myself that I'm not playing OU until Tour starts again (November or something).

    I guess that's somewhat of a 1st milestone to beat. I'm literally trash at XY OU in general (played probably 300 games max in my career), so that shouldn't be too hard.

    If you want proof, do /rank Carlos Fierro. It's probably declined a bit since I havent played OU in like a month.

    Yeah that was the idea, but it's not like it really matters. You all can start if you want. When I get back from vacation Monday night I will close sign-ups and lock everything in, but yeah go crazy.

    Anyway it's an update as of 3:15 Eastern Time, so here's the status of the race:

    In you missed previous post the race will end on August 1 barring major objections.

    I can also update this much more actively now (and can participate myself) so yeah one week to go let's get it

    O I thought u would seen my op, I had to change my name due to a series of disconnections and finally my current going off, hopefully u will consider that.
     
    so karp is in the lead rn but i talked to him and we both agreed it'd be cool to extend this cause lots of us have been busy, so once the clock hits the 7th this baby is over, won't extend again, but thought it'd be fun to prolong it a bit

    Finally got around to laddering a little, just 7-0 rn at 1201 on lower ladder, it would be awesome if players didn't take forever delaying the inevitable lol :(
