Yet Another New User...! ;-)
Hi all!
I'm thunderhawk, I'm just a simple guy from Flanders, Belgium.
When the Pokemon franchise first came to Belgium, Ash and I had the same age! How cool was that...
Anyway, I grew up with the Red/Blue games and the Gold/Silver/Crystal games. I watched the anime from the Kanto saga to the Orange Islands saga to the Johto saga till the broadcasters in Belgium decided at the beginning of the Johto saga to restart from the beginning...
Anyway, a couple of years back I played Ruby on an emulator and just recently played FireRed on the emulator.
I'm studying applied information technology and I have to build a game from scratch using JavaFX 2.x. So here I am!
I'd like to build a game with a pokemon-style overworld and mazes and I'll see where it develops from there.
I've never programmed an extensive GUI, or anything comparable to a game, so I'm here to learn and contribute to some of the projects here. I'm sure there are Java-based projects here on the website, I'll still have to look around to find them however. This site is big!
So that's why I'm here. I'm here to contribute to the community, contribute to the projects in the Game Development section of the board and learn while doing so!
Ok, I'm going to read some more stickies now! ^^
