    Epic. What a banlist.

    Oh man, my decks are going to be awesomesauce. TRIPLE BLACK ROSE WTFFFFFFFFFF (or I guess... FTWWWWWWW). Black Salvo is going to be good! As is Debuhime! Especially with Dandy still @ 2, and everything. This is going to be a fun format.

    Infernity OTK is nonexistent as of Sept 1st. Rest in peace, Infernity OTK. Frog OTK as well. ^^ Heavy Storm is going to be gone from the format, as is Brain Control, and Oppression is going to be @ 1. That is frankly amazing news for defensive-minded players that play control. We've still got Mind Control, but at least you can't lucksack a win after your opponent drops a JD because you cleared the field, swung for 3000, and then tributed it for something silly like Cyber Dragon. (Or something to that effect, yeah.) This is going to be a format with Dark Hole AND Monster Reborn. We will be probably running double Starlight now.

    2 Snipe Hunter makes me feel uneasy because of the existence of Fabled, but we'll see. I have changed my opinion about Fabled... they will definitely be Tier 1. Possibly even Tier 0, though their TCG consistency is not the best at the moment. Chaos Sorcerer @ 2 is okay, I feel, because it's not amazing as cards go, though it is quite good in decks that are able to use it. 2 MST is probably because we're losing Heavy, so I'm probably going to have to maindeck Trunade now. We'll see. Magic Cylinder @ 2 is frankly hilarious, as is Ojama Trio, but their outstanding effect on the meta? ...Idunno. Shrug.

    Treeborn @ 3 isn't really different from Treeborn @ 2, because most decks only need 1 to 2, anyways. Cyber Dragon is a cool guy and is now Unlimited, which makes me smile, but I can't foresee applications for it yet. (Other than maybe for synchro fodder, which is cool, but...) United We Stand is an Equip Card, so it's not that good - gets 2 for 1'd by Book of Moon etc. Unlimit of that is fine. Decree @ 3 is something that's good for the decks that do run it, and not so horrible for the decks that don't. This is also likely something that offsets the ban of Heavy Storm, because all/most decks are going to be setting their entire hand now that they have no need to fear Heavy. (HEAVY IS GONE =D NO MORE LUCKSACKS)

    As for Goblin Zombie... I'm not sure how I feel about it. Shrug.

    Inorite. Dandy decks just got better. I didn't see the point in semi-BRD for a while. And now, Black Salvo has a time to shine again. That's good.

    RIP Infernities boi! ^_^; Heavy; I'm very sad about this. It was a great card. Brain Control I did not expect, because of it's cost, but I guess it's minor with synchros in the game. Oppression at 1 hurt my Nat deck to an extent, but hopefully the other things will make up for that. Double Starlight indeed. Thankfully I still have my Reborn. All I need is Dark Hole.

    Fabled won't be good until HA03-4 so I'm cool with it. But yes, it will probably be tier 1. It's already expensive. XD; Sorcerer @ 2 isn't really that bad, because like you said, it's not the best of cards at the moment. I'm very surprised at MST @ 2, but I guess you're right. Trunade might always be a staple now. Maybe not in my deck because of Bamboo but still. I did not see Trio and Cylinder getting semi but it's not gonna hurt the meta that much.

    Treeborn's unlimit was not needed. Cyber Dragon is a side card and shouldn't be run more than 2. United We Stand - did not see that coming either, but Equips are never great anyways. Decree will very badly hurt me, especially with Oppression at 1. I rely on traps to protect Bamboo. Haha, no more lucksacks yaaay! Zombies were dead anyway, Goblin Zombie only lifted up their hopes a bit.

    Overall, pretty good job Konami.

    • I like Dark Hole and Monster Reborn. This just like good ol' times. More fun for Batterymen.
    • So excited about Black Rose Dragon. I always have 7 Stars in the Field, but never a Black Rose to spare.
    • R.I.P. Heavy Storm and Brain Control. I never really used Brain Control, though, since Creature Swap is so much more fun.
    • FINALLY, they let me have more copies of Ojama Trio. About time, Konami : /

    Dang, its gonna be annoying trying to get a copy. Personally I think it should be re-released, if they're gonna bring it back, cos barely anyone would still have one from Legend of Blue Eyes and the Yugi Starter deck from ages ago. Actually I was offered one a while back for a trade, but turned it down. Stupid me.

    I think I still have a Monster Reborn lying in my room somewhere from last time it was unbanned, so I'm gonna have to go looking for it now.

    And yay, I can jack up my Plant deck with more copies of Black Rose. Was keeping my fingers crossed for Lonefire being unlimited, but this is still good.

    And than you Konami for limiting Infernity Launcher. I was getting seriously annoyed with all the OTK's on YVD thanks to Infernity decks. I think they can still be tournament-worthy, but not nearly as good as they were before.

    Well that's silly, since I have nearly 20 copies of Dark Hole... But none of Monster Reborn.
    Black Rose isn't really necessary for Plants, though.
     
    Aww heavy is banned as soon as I order my copy online D;. Well Trunade now I guess.

    Rescue Cat is so damn cute but its about time that thing is gone for good :D. What more is Dark Hole and Monster Reborn are limited now O YES. I have been waiting for the day when I could use those two again. Haha limited Infernity Launcher is like a punch to the face for Infernity Duelists. Way to go Konami xD.

    Am I the only person that thinks Magic Cylinder should be limited but I gladly welcome the use. Of two MSTs now. Snipe Hunter and Chaos hmmm not so sure about them at the moment. And Ojama trio now at two. The Ojamas may be horrible but Ojama trio is epic.

    Triple Black Roses O GOD. Something to be feared. Still have to get my hands on a copy though . Triple Cyber dragon seems to be a good welcome as well. Everything else I'm indifferent about atm.

    In all I'm sure we will all be seeing dark hole and monster reborn makinga return to the meta definetly. This format should be pretty fun to say the least C:.
     
    Er, by the way. The only reason I would have ever condoned using Rescue cat was to summon Nimble Musasabi from your Deck to suicide it for attack targets. /end.
     
    Didn't think I'd see the day Black Hole gets unbanned. Interesting for sure.
    Royal Oppression being on the field now will be interesting, especially with the mass amount of special summons these days. And Royal Oppression being on limited means that they're not afraid of Monster Reborn being up anymore? dunno, but glad it's off the ban list though I wish they'd make up their mind about grave summonings
    Not sure what to say about the rest since the last tournament I played was....nvm last tournament I played was last week with a starter deck [I won once, that was amusing XD] Regardless, I don't have a grip on the metagame, so I'm generally ok with this setup.
     
    Just a theory, but maybe we'll see more stall/burn decks now? With two Magical Cylinders and Ojama Trios, and the loss of Heavy Storm to wipe out stall cards, they could flourish under the new banlist.
     
    I'm glad I am selling my collection. :( I can see Cyber Dragon becoming T1 again easily. This September Konami is officially murdering my precious trading card game.

    That's definitely an interesting thought, and could very well happen, but burn still falls to some rising decks this format.

    Cyber Dragon might, but I see Fabled becoming T1 more than anything else.
     
    Burn still won't work. It's not like Sabers lost Hyunlei or Saber Slash or anything... they were hardly hit except for the fact that Rescue Cat got banned. Hyunlei still beats face when it comes to S/T clearing.

    I think people will play maindeck copies of Solemn Warning (Pay 2000 LP, negate a Summon or a Summoning effect)? It negates Starlight and the random synchro clearance cards and is a very good card.

    Sabers will stay at tier 0, I think, and Fabled... yeah, Fabled.

    We'll see.

    @digi-kun: Royal Oppression was MORE on the field last format D; It became semi-limited in March, and now it's limited in September. I doubt we'll see a ban though, what with double MST and possibly triple Double Cyclone (which is an amazing card :O just chain it to an activation or destruction of your other S/T!), as well as Dust Tornado still running around and whatnot.
     
    I was looking through some of my banned cards and I just waiting for the moment they limit Witch of the Black Forest and maybe Graceful Charity -_-.
     
    I loved Graceful Charity. ;_;

    Sabers are still broken, and that's the only reason why this banlist isn't great.
     
    I love charity as well Q-Q that's why I want it limited at least. Bah Konami.

    The reason I like Sabers is because they are warriors, er more than half anyway. Other than that I don't care for them as much like ever other tier, except maybe Fulhemknight and some other exceptions. Still rather use them then any others in the top tiers though.
     
    Graceful Charity is too strong :( It lets you cycle and fill up your grave without losing your hand count... It also lets you draw before you discard so you can pick what you want to get rid of... That added to all the Graveyard effects nowadays is not nice. Sort of broken.

    Witch of the Black Forest was banned because she could search for random ridiculously strong monsters that compensated for their strength with low defense, like any of the Monarchs, Jinzo, etc. She's not getting unbanned.

    Ah, that sounds fun XD Again, my Yugioh metagame is very very low XD
     
    Don't feel bad digi mine is pretty bad as well xD;. The metagame in anything competitive has never interested me outside Super Smash Bros Brawl xD.
     
    Maaaan!! Chain Burn is a lot more consistent with Ojama Trio at 2 and Magic Cylinder likewise. I've been running Chain Burn with Ojama Trio at 1 and it works amazingly well. It also has 2 Mystical Space Typhoon for side-decking over the more previously redundant options like Mystical Wind Typhoon, Twister etc.

    I love the nostalgia this list brings with the unbanning of Dark Hole and Monster Reborn. Finally a chance to use my DB1 Dark Hole that's been lying in my folder for years now.
