Christian Davidson - Fairgrounds near track

As Chris waited, he didn't see hide nor hair of any of his friends. He wondered if everything was alright and, for a fleeting moment, thought they had forgotten about him. Suddenly, the first few seconds of Metallica's "Enter Sandman" played, indicating to him that someone texted him. Curiosity getting the best of him, he pulled out his phone and saw a text message from Milly asking if he was going to the fair. He smiled as he saw it, but the smile quickly faded as he texted his response: Been here. He felt even more alone as he slid his phone back into his pocket. "Well, someone will find me soon enough," he thought as he started slowly walking from booth to booth, taking in the sights. He also took note of a pack of werewolves wrestling around, but one in particular seemed a little smaller than the others. Was Milly with them? He put that thought behind him and continued on.

As he walked, however, more and more students were looking at him with weird expressions. No surprise, though, as he was walking around like a teenage version of the Grim Reaper or something. With everyone else letting their fur out (no pun intended) he figured that they wanted to see his true nature. There were even a couple of bold students that tried to see under his hood, but even then Chris moved around them and continued on his way...at least, until he saw something that made him stop in his tracks. A smile crept across his face as he stood in front of a 30-foot climbing wall. There were a few others there, trying to climb up the oddly-shaped wall. He stood there watching for a few minutes before deciding to stand in line.

He waited patiently for his turn as he looked around. He saw and felt more and more peering eyes locked on him, feeling like he was on display or something. He shook them off as one of the climbers signalled for him to come up. Not waiting a second, he walked up to one of the faces and pushed back his hood, revealing his face. He went even further, though, and totally discarded both his hoodie and shirt, revealing his physique that he worked so hard on last week. The climber in charge strapped the safety harness around Chris' waist, but not before chuckling to himself, "Looking to show off, sport?" Chris shook his head and laughed, "No...just trying to make an impact on the student body here."

It was working, though, as some of the nameless Youkai students looked on to where Chris was and started talking amongst themselves. Chris smiled and leapt up the wall, quickly grabbing hold and effortlessly started up. He couldn't help but smile as he kept climbing, at least until he got to an outcropping 2/3 of the way up. It was then he relied only on his arm and grip strength as he went hand-over-hand and over the outcrop easily. It was fun and a bit challenging, but he soon reached the top of the wall, hearing some students below clapping as they watched his ascent. Chris looked back down and smiled, waving at them before leaping off the edge. He knew the rope would catch him and it quickly did its job, slowing his plummet to the ground enough to land him on his feet with no harm done. Chris was detached from the safety rigging as he donned his clothing back on and walked away from the wall, a task well and fully completed. A couple of nekos stopped him to talk to him about his exploit as they walked further down the stretch of carnival tents.

Takumi Makkusu - Festival Time

I still can't believe I actually asked her out. Is this a dream? It feels like it, 'cause the idea of a Yokai Academy is still insane. What I hear next, will definitely change my life.

She says yes. Yes! YES! "YES!!!" I cheer, turn around & jump in joy. This may be embarrassing for me, but I don't care! She actually said yes, now I can prove myself to her! What to do now, I wonder. Hee hee, I can't think straight right now. "Well then, let's go!" I say to Nami next, race walking to the festival. I hope she can keep up, 'cause I'm going out with Nami!

No! Think, Tak, think. You gotta be reasonable here, not act so childish. You have plenty to say to Nami, & you can tell her while you're at the festival with her. Just don't blow it.

Lerion Volran: Girls...you can't live without 'em, so what do you do when getting to close to one gives you Vietnam flashbacks?

When Luna reassured Yami in her own way Lerion couldn't help sighing in relief. His own words would probably seem childish or even annoying the way he had presented it, but this way Yami might not even put any thought into it. Once she had said her piece on Yami's homesickness she turned to Lerion and queried on the festival, he looked at her to be polite, but quickly found he still couldn't hold eye contact with her so he looked at her cheeks and her hair instead. "I don't really know all that much about the festival, definitely not it's origins or anything. But from what I've seen it's very similar to human festivals except it's Youkai themed, but the most important tidbit is that everyone is allowed to be their true selves while there. As he finished Lerion sent images to the other Lycans of the festival grounds and all the various Youkai wandering around free of illusions or disguises. "There are a lot of games to play that you guys might have never heard of before, and prizes. I've got some friends who I'm sure will be there, you guys could join us if you want." He sat on the forest floor and rocked back and forth a bit. "I must say, I'm looking forward to it, I don't mind my human image but it will be nice to not feel like i'm hiding anything for once." He felt a bit less awkward as he allowed himself a wolfish grin. (No pun intended, in fact given the circumstances I'd say it's rather literal)

Milly Kaiko
It was his scent which stopped her, mid throw of one werewolf, as her head turned in the direction of Chris. She could track his scent easily now he had passed, though at first the scent and the actual figured linked with it didn't match up. For one thing, Chris was hiding his face.

Puzzled, she shrugged off her competitor in their games, but to some of their audience's disappointment and slowly padded in the direction Chris had wandered in. It wasn't hard though; crowds had a tendency of making way for a large bipedal wolf. It was only when Chris lined up for the climbing wall that Milly stopped. She wanted to say hi, to greet her friend normally but under the circumstances a friendly 'how do you do' was out of the question. So instead, she waited. Watching with perhaps a little more jealously than she would like to admit as Chris stripped off his shirt, revealing years' worth of gym exercise underneath and making quite a few girls giggle wildly amongst themselves.

Snorting, she glared at them and quickly the chuckles subsided and the girls edged away. "Didn't think so." Milly growled to herself, as she swung her head back to the wall in time to watch Chris's easy ascension. Amazing really, how quickly he worked the wall, up until the very last moment where he jumped, elegantly in fact, down to land softly on the padded ground below.

Holding back a grin, Milly moved to step forward, only to stop. A couple of Nekos came forward from the crowd and began to chat happily to Chris. It was nice really, to see him surrounded by other cat ears. He seemed happy too and so Milly waited patiently, part of her wondering if Chris would recognise her in this form, after all, she was no pretty petite like this.

But regardless, one comment couldn't be helped. "Catnip. Who knew what effects it would have till now?"

"Froot loop? Oh, you're calling me a crazy. No I'm not crazy, you're the one talking to yourself. Wait-- Did you say you were my roommate? That's perfect! Please say I'm your friend, just for today, just to the girl! My name is Frio, just say you've known me since we met in Japan a few years ago, that should get her away from me! If you do this I'll help prank the teacher."

"Wha--" Sagishi was confused. "I'm not crazy! And wait, what girl?" Sagishi looked left and right, ultimately forgetting for a few moments that it was a pointless effort. "I've never been to Asia, and I don't need any help pranking the teacher, it's my specialty. It's what makes me unique!"

"Oh, so that's what makes you unique?"

"Bugger off, Solo." Sagishi shook his head. "I'm not talkin' to myself, I'm talkin' to the arse of a dog in my head!" He held his hand before his face, as if he needed to double-check his blindness. "I can't see a bloody thing though, so I'll need help gettin' around." He shook his head. "D'you know where Eva is right now?"

After listening to both Luna and Lerion, I sighed. "I'm not winning this one, am I?" Hesitantly, I leapt back down. "I can't help but worry, though." I looked directly to Lerion as I continued. "And by that logic, we could also be sent back too early or too late, if we even get sent back to the right world. And what if we get sent to some world where no one knows how to travel universes? Then we'd be trapped in an ultimately less-familiar world with no way out." It took a moment for me to realize how negative it must have sounded, though I was only being realistic. "Nonetheless, we might as well go in our natural appearances, anyway."

I let the Humanoid figure dissolve into shadows, my black figure becoming visible. My green and blue eyes looked to Lerion, then Luna, then the festival. "Well... Better sooner than later, yes?" As I headed toward the festival's direction, I bumped against Lerion lightly in my stride. In retrospect, it might have seemed aggressive, though it was meant as a sign of appreciation. My tail flicked as I walked ahead, decidedly leading the way there.

Nami Kyuuketsuki
Chapter 3: The spy of Fairytale.
Hallways

Nami kept staring down while having this slight blush across her cheeks. She actually said yes on a date with Takumi. It was not like it was unexpected but she still felt her heart pound a bit harder, the heart that was almost dying just a while ago. It seemed so lively inside her chest that Nami didn't even care anymore. What Nami now was caring about was if she didn't look too embarrassing with that blush. She was really glad that no one was walking around the school building right now.

"YES!!!" She heard Takumi cheer. She immediately looked up and blinked a few times when Takumi turned around and jumped in the air out of joy. He seemed very happy that Nami said yes and made her blush even more. "Well then, let's go!" Takumi started walking. "W-Wait for me...!" Nami shouted when Takumi was walking so fast that there had grown quite a distance between them while Nami had yet to follow. She ran towards him and tried to walk next to him. She felt quite embarressed and couldn't look at his face at the moment. Today she saw a totally different side of Takumi, one she hadn't seen before but was quite enjoyable.

"What do you want to do first...?" Nami asked once both left the school. The weather was nice today... Nami watched the other students walking around in their Youkai forms. She saw Werewolves, Chris and his Neko friends, a few fellow Vampires, some Crow Tengu's and even some Fairies. She looked around and saw how happy everyone was and how they were enjoying this festival. This was going to be a great day.

"I don't really know all that much about the festival, definitely not it's origins or anything. But from what I've seen it's very similar to human festivals except it's Youkai themed, but the most important tidbit is that everyone is allowed to be their true selves while there." Lerion answered her question. "There are a lot of games to play that you guys might have never heard of before, and prizes. I've got some friends who I'm sure will be there, you guys could join us if you want. I must say, I'm looking forward to it, I don't mind my human image but it will be nice to not feel like i'm hiding anything for once." Lerion sat on the forest ground and showed her grin.

Luna had yet another question now that Lerion tried to explain the festival. "Excuse me, but..." Luna scratched the back of her head. "What are "Humans"? You mentioned them quite a lot and your teacher did too... what are they?" Luna asked him politely. She played with her hair and made sure that her bangs were hanging on the right side of her face, making sure that the scar on her right eye was not visable for anyone to see. Yami knew about it and that was enough. Yami came out of his tree with the words. "I'm not winning this one, am I?"

"I can't help but worry, though." he at Lerion as he continued. "And by that logic, we could also be sent back too early or too late, if we even get sent back to the right world. And what if we get sent to some world where no one knows how to travel universes? Then we'd be trapped in an ultimately less-familiar world with no way out." Yami stopped speaking as if he knew what he was saying was pretty negative. Luna knew that he was right though. "Nonetheless, we might as well go in our natural appearances, anyway."

Yami let his humanoid disguise fall as he turned into a black wolf with a little bit of purple fur. "Well... Better sooner than later, yes?" he said as he walked off but not before bumping into Lerion lightly. "Yeah, let's go." Luna said as she chucled a bit. She let her humanoid disguise fall as well and followed Yami in her black wolf form with outstanding emerald eyes.

Lerion Volran: The Twilight Wolf Trio goes forth.

Predictably Yami saw the other possible ramifications of Lerion's little speech on different dimensions, he was too smart to just leave such words at just that. He had hoped they wouldn't cross his mind, but it seemed as if he understood the spirit of the statement as well, there was no point letting it consume him before there was something he could actually do about it. He felt a lot of tension ease out of his muscles when Yami agreed to go, it would be good for them to go out and have some social interaction. Lerion noticed Luna playing with her hair a bit bit made sure not to stare, although something seemed out of place around the eye that her bangs always covered. When she asked what humans were he felt like an idiot. "Of course...silly me, I shouldn't have assumed you would ever have heard of humans." He scratched an itch behind his left ear with the same hand.

"Humans are quite...interesting creatures. At first they seem really plain, they can't fight nearly as well single-handedly as most creatures, and yet they can adapt and cooperate well enough when they need to that they have survived against nearly all other creatures. The appearance I have right now, and the way most of the other students at the academy you'll see walking around on any day but today is an imitation of how humans look...except for my stupid ears of course." He continued, gesturing at the ever present wolf ears that he could no longer hide. "A lot of the activities at the festival, and for the most part the festival itself were inspired by human celebrations."

Yami shifted into his wolf form and gave Lerion a good-natured bump as he began padding towards the festival. When Luna followed suit Lerion decided he may change as well. "That's easy for you guys to say" He teased. "This uniform is the only decent clothing I have, I can't just drop it on the floor or make it disappear." He ran behind a few trees and removed his uniform before letting the human illusion fade away, the uniform floated behind him, suspended by telekinesis and folded itself before sinking gently to the ground. When he caught up to Yami and Luna Lerion realized for the first time in years how oversized his true form was compared to most wolves and Lycans, it had been a long time since he'd seen any others. On they strode towards the festival, two sleek wolves black as obsidian and one as white as snow and as big as a horse. Light and dark side by side like twilight, they were sure to make quite an impression on the crowds when they showed up.

Christian Davidson - Fairground

It was only a minute or two before he felt someone's gaze on him from behind. It caught Chris' attention, distracting him from the conversation with the pair of nekos that were enamored with his earlier stunt. He shook his head and allowed the pair to continue without him. He stood there, watching them go, and felt a big form coming up from behind him. He slowly turned around to face a werewolf form that stood there. Chris was unsure of what to make of this until he looked closer at the werewolf.

He felt something...familiar...about her. Yes, it was a her. A female werewolf. Chris locked eyes with her and felt comfortable around it. Only one person could make him feel like that. He couldn't help but smile as he approached her, looking across her form. She seemed to be a pretty powerful creature...one that shouldn't be messed with. "Wow, Milly. You definitely look more powerful...but more majestic, too," he said to her, stumbling over his words a little. "Did you have fun with the others? How many of them did you beat?" He allowed himself to lift his hood a little for her to see his face.

It was an unusual feeling he was experiencing. It was almost like...guilt. He felt guilty about talking to other females. Even more, he felt worse because of his feelings. Chris pushed those feelings aside for now and simply stood there as he smiled at her once again.

"Good morning! If I remember correctly, your name was Cheryll, right?" she glanced up slightly to see Sorae smiling warmly his hand outstretched "Name's Sorae, but you probably already known that. Nice to meet ya'!" Cheryll sighed trying to figure out a way to answer without breaking down from the emotions overwhelming her because of how her morning was going.

"Morning Cheryll, what's wrong – and why aren't you wearing the charm there's a reason I gave it to you?" Allister suddenly said to her and she turned her attention to her friend.

"Janie...she...stole it" Cheryll said quietly biting her lower lip as she slid the note over to Allister she felt her eyes water up. "I know you guys have thought she's been leaving me alone...she's been saying mean things...and threats" she spoke softly before she burst into tears sniffling.

"I k-know I should h-have told you Allister...b-but you've been putting so much strain on yourself...I didn't want to add to it"

"They're sort of like our other forms," I added from the front of the group. "They're also not far off from the Elvish..." I turned to Luna. "The one who made our necklaces work told me he was half-human. The other half must have been something magical." I paused, realizing the best way to explain it. "They're like the Elves, but not as tall." My tail twitched with impatience as I sat at the outer edge of the festival. So much to take in, not even including the large amount of people roaming it. "Festival," I spoke somewhat blandly. "The closest thing I can think of is the family's ballroom dance..."

I looked to Luna, then Lerion, then the large crowds and various booths. "I am... How do you say it... Having second thoughts..." I could feel my fur rising slowly, and my tail was twitching with anxiety. "Perhaps a place that is less crowded might be better for me... Until I am more used to this..." My eyes shifted wildly from one person to the next. My body tensed, and as the feeling escalated, I disappeared into darkness. My presence resonated in Luna's shadow. "I... Don't like being around a lot of people at once... It brings back memories I would much rather forget... And it makes my instincts react too intensely..."

"Blind?" I asked, "Hm, that's interesting." I checked again, afraid of unwanted company. "Wait did you say Eva?" I asked, "The girl Solo invited over that slept in my bed?" I thought for a moment, "I haven't seen her since the funeral." I was behind in current events, Yvette did not know many people so I never got much school gossip. "I haven't really seen anybody since Solo was killed actually, I had to go out and train."

"Frio?" A voice called. I recognized it as Yvette's, "Did you find your friend?"

"I'll uh, be your eyes for a bit if you just act like a friend of mine." I said, panicking, "She already gave a concussion and some scars..."

"Oh there you are!" She said happily. She always pretended to be nice around others, and I was surprised to see she was a damn good actor. "Is this your friend Frio?"

I looked to Sagashi, but figured he wouldn't return the stare, "Uh yes, this is Sagashi, he is blind." Please play along, please play along. I thought to myself.

Sorae Kakori Jenai

After Cheryll's strained- and depressing- response, and Sorae's realization of the existence of the note on top of the novel, Sorae took his hand back awkwardly after Cheryll didn't answer and seemed to be breaking down in front of Allister. After the "you guys" quote, he realized this was probably something that should be solved between Allister and Cheryll, and maybe Yorick, so he quickly finished his food and pulled a paper out of his pocket. "This seems to be getting personal. Here's my number Allister; if you need anything, call later." He dropped the paper in front of Allister, while glancing towards the teachers. Suddenly, something semi-random- but completely awesome within this context- sprang into his mind. "In fact, when you two resolve this dilemma, call me for sure, Allister." He grinned. "Cheryll, I hope that you get your charm back... best wishes, alright?"

Walking off, he took his phone out and unlocked it. Seeing he had gotten a text from Milly, he grinned, reading it. You guys coming to the fair today? His grin then turned into a smile, and then he followed suit, replying jovially. Wouldn't miss it for my life! You'll know me when you see me. Getting out of the cafeteria, he breathed in deeply. Dammit. My Youkai form is kinda too hot obvious, and lets everyone know who I am. It's not like Milly or Lerion, who at least look way different... He sighed. He messed with the hair reaching over his third eye and pushed it to the sides. Leaning on the wall outside the cafeteria, he began to summon, and finally opened his third eye after laying a few coins on the ground. Grinning, he then summoned an ostrich. He got up and stroked it's head. Thank god I can actually summon this thing now. If not, I woulda summoned a giraffe. Grinning with his third eye out in the open, he hopped on.

Good god this is uncomfortable.

He got off again, and threw a white fleece blanket over it, that was in his bag. Hopping on it again, he sighed. At least it's comfortable. And fluffy. Hopping back on again, he kicked it. "Hya!" He cried, and it went off quickly. Pulling back on it's neck as they neared the edge of the crowd, he looked towards the scene. There were many stands and activities, and one thing that caught his eyes were the various battle games or whatever taking place between some werewolves.

Suddenly, he felt the crowd converging on him and his large land-bird. "Hey hey hey, get away from the ostrich. It's, uh, claustrophobic." Watching the crowd part a bit, he sighed. "Better..." In his head though, all he could think was that this was an awesome form of crowd control. Spotting Chris, a werewolf who he saw fighting, and hearing the remark about catnip, he approached on his steed carefully. Looking at Chris, the werewolf who he now presumed to be Milly, and the swooning neko fangirls leaving him, he laughed.

"You're a show-off with a six pack, aren't cha?" He said jokingly, his third eye showing. He found all of them in their Youkai forms weird, but interesting. Then he turned to face Milly. "And you're no exception, you've been showing off too." He laughed. "I guess I'm no exception though, I'm riding an ostrich after all."

"Huh..." Sagishi responded plainly. "I wonder where--"

"She."

"She went..." When the girl Frio mentioned approached and said something, Sagishi was introduced by Frio as a blind friend. Leaning in, Sagishi whispered to Frio, "It's Sagishi, mate. Suh, gee, shee." Turning toward the new girl, Sagishi grinned and held his hand out for introduction. "Nice ta meet ya, miss. Might I say you're looking very nice today!"

"You-- ... Alright, you get credit for that one; that was pretty clever." Solo surprisingly let out a chuckle himself. "By the way... She's to your left; you're holding your hand out in the air like a doof."

Sagishi turned to face her properly, grabbing her hand (whether she was going to shake his hand or not) with both hands and shaking it somewhat obnoxiously. "So... How d'you know my bunk mate, ma'am?"

Yvette allowed him to take her hand and smiled, regardless if he could see. "You are so kind." She said, laughing at his joke. I was worried that by forcing a hand shake she might have broken his hand, but she was nice about it. "Well I came to this school only a week ago and he was the friend of the first person I met here." She left out all of the breaking things, "He left school to work with a friend and I kept him company in the afternoons."

She is going to give him the wrong impression. I worried. "Yea, but uh, just as friends. She really only used me for my money." I said it with a nervous smile, she made me just as fearful as my sister did if I made her angry.

"Don't be so modest, taking me to diner every night was a very gentleman like thing to do." She shot me a cruel smile and went back to her façade. "How did you meet Frio?"

"Uh--" Sagishi completely forgot what the story was for a split second. "Japan, a few years back."

"And here's the kicker-- remember that girl who stood at the window and acted moody a week ago? She's his sister."

"Oh, izzat right?" Sagishi turned to Frio. "Yer sis said you could beat me up in a fight! She doesn't even know how I fight, mate!"

"To be fair, your magic is forbidden. That's kinda like cheating."

"It's not cheating! It's the only magic I can do in combat anyhow!"

Millicent Kaiko- First Impressions.

Milly was about to answer Chris, glad her blushes over the way his tongue stumbled with words were hidden by her fur, when a small commotion began to their side, the centre of which being their friend Sorae. At first Milly had to double take, for one thing, Sorae was no longer wearing the red band which covered his third eye and more importantly… "Is that an ostrich?" Milly asked, her voice low and soft as she glanced at Chris with a smile. She couldn't quite believe her eyes.

When at last Sorae made his way towards them, pulling his rather peculiar steed to a stop, Milly laughed. Showing off? One way to put it from a guy riding a giant flightless bird. Snorting slightly she shook her head and grinned. "I wasn't showing off, just showing the guys how to really fight." She shrugged, "To which I won most of the fights by the way" She added this with a nod to Chris. "But the few I lost were fair and square. They were bigger, better and maybe a little faster, but I wasn't gonna tell them that. Their egos are big enough as it is." She smirked. It was odd to be in this form round the guys though she had no doubt it was even stranger for them. The fact she was now taller than both of them was a bit bizarre. She was so use to looking up at them, not down.

"Anyone seen Lerion? I was kinda hoping he would have been with you guys today as I don't have his number."

But then she spotted the two black wolves and a white wolf entered the fair. Her own form looked positively shabby by comparison. "Wow." Was all she could manage as with her amber eyes, she watched the three make their entrance into the crowd. "IS that?" Milly began shooting the guys a question glance towards the wolves. If it was, her friends and her had an uncanny ability at making long last first impressions. After all, this was the first time they were really meeting each over. No masks.

Christian Davidson - Odd one out

Chris looked over as Sorae came in riding an ostrich. Apparently, he was a summoning mage of some kind. Hard to believe that he was able to procure a bird like that by normal procedures. What struck him most, though, was his third eye in the middle of his forehead. It was then that he made a comment about showing off. Chris was about to respond when he noticed that Milly's attentions were elsewhere.

Chris followed her gaze to three werewolves just now entering the crowd. He noticed that two of them seemed normal, but the other had a snow-white pelt. It almost seemed...regal for them or something. Milly seemed enraptured by their appearance, which not only made Chris feel like he had a lump of lead in his stomach but he felt more alone than before. He pulled the hood back over his face, still hiding the fact that he wasn't in Youkai form. He sighed softly to himself as him and his "friends" watched the trio and the crowd's reaction to them.

Millicent Kaiko- Girl code number 2

Milly paused, noting the jerky movement as Chris tugged his hood back to cover his face. Wrinkling her nose in slight confusion she moved her gaze away from the three lycans, as that is what they had to be despite the fact that they were as good as extinct in every history book Milly had ever opened, before placing a giant clawed paw over her friend's shoulder. She could sense the sudden change in him so clearly it was like being punched in the gut. Which she had been already, repeatedly when wrestling with the other werewolves. There were no restraints when in this form.

"You okay Chris?" Milly began, allowing her back legs to sink a little so she was eye to eye with her friend. It felt wrong though, to discuss something which was bothering her friend when she was in this form. It didn't exactly scream big and cuddly.

Once again wriggling her nose when she thought of this, she withdrew from her friend with a quick "be right back" And moved off towards one of the stalls. Going back to the changing rooms the smart thing to do, but also timely and her current plan was a lot faster.

Stopping by one of the small stalls ran by a beautifully tanned, green eyed student, who was unmistakably werewolf in origin, Milly quickly explained she needed some clothes. Changing in public when there was nothing to cover yourself with was a bad idea. If a little embarrassing.

The girl, named Kerry, smiled and nodded in understanding before procuring some scruffy ripped jeans and a strap top. The underwear was more complicated but was sorted none the less. Milly thanked the girl then darted behind the stall were Kerry kept watch for any weirdos while Milly changed. It was painful again and she had a couple of scratches covering her arms which had been hidden previously by her fur, but bar that, she was relatively the same. Hair admittedly more scruffy. Pulling on the top which was perhaps a little too snug for Milly's comfort and then the jeans. No shoes or socks though. Milly stepped out from her changing room and thanked Kerry with a hug. Girl wolf code rule number two. Always help out another girl in need of clothes. It was why Milly always kept a spare baggy jumper and jeans in case anything like this would happen one day.

Promising to return the borrowed goods before the end of the day, Milly then made her way back to her friends. It wasn't hard either, Sorae's ostrich was fairly easy to keep track of.

All of this took less than 10 minutes to complete and Milly was pleased with herself.

"Chris. What's going on?" This was her announcing her return. Her hands placed on her hips and her brows slanted into a furrowed frown. "What's with the hood? One moment your topless, the next you don't want people to see your face? You're giving me whiplash with the sudden changes in attitude." She smiled at this, worried that if she didn't Chris would think she was stressing at him.

Christian Davidson - From bad to...whatever

Chris suddenly felt a huge paw on his shoulder before Milly excused herself. He allowed her to go as he watched the others (as well as the three that had Milly's attention) and tried to figure this out. His heart was so muddled and his head was stressed from all the changes that came about today. It led him to wonder...out of all these different people and forms, why did he have to be so different? It was one thing to be different from humans, but youkai? It still sat unsettling in his mind.

And then he heard from a few feet away "Chris. What's going on?" He turned towards Milly's voice as he was stunned by her now-human appearance. She now gave the appearance of being mad as she continued, "What's with the hood? One moment your topless, the next you don't want people to see your face? You're giving me whiplash with the sudden changes in attitude." It was then that she smiled. Thankfully the hood was up or she'd see him blushing again as her smile melted right through him. It was then, however, that he realized that she changed back because of him, which started to make him feel worse.

Chris locked eyes with her and walked to her, "I'm sorry if I made you feel bad. You didn't have to change back to your human form though. I mean, I bet it felt good to really let your hair down, so to speak. Some of us, though, don't have that luxury." Chris looked down at the ground a little before glancing at her once again, "It just feels weird to be the one amongst others that can't change or hide their real forms whenever you want. I need to learn how." He kept the rest to himself for now. No need to ruin everyone else's day at the fair.

"Sister?" I wondered, panicking even more. If she were here, then I was certainly more than dead. After a moment I realized he meant Elise, "Oh yea, Elise. She is thinks highly of me." I said rubbing my neck modestly, "I'm sure you fighting me would-"

"Don't be so arrogant" Yvette said, cutting me off, "I'm sure you couldn't fight him." She nodded, "Yep, you'd lose to a blind Mage any day."

"That's not true." I said passively, "I could beat a blind Mage, the only problem is that I don't want to." I really didn't want her pushing on the subject, I didn't want to fight someone on uneven terms, especially with my recent training. "Hey me and ole Sagashi have to go find our friend Eva, do you mind telling Elise that I'll be fine?"

"I'm sure she knows, why don't I accompany you?" Yvette asked.

"No, no, no, it's fine, I mean you should enjoy the festival."

"Why don't we see what your friend says?" She smiled threateningly at me. Please tell her no. I begged
