Your favorite Starters

Here we are, in generation order (insert Top of the Pops music here):

I(+III remake): Charmander
II: Chikorita
III (Hoen): Mudkip
IV: Dunno, I haven't got it. By the looks of them I don't really like any of them, which is a first :\
 
Gen. 1: Squirtle (Best Starter IMO)
Gen. 2: Totodile (When trained well it's a deadly beast)
Gen. 3: Torchic (Meh, I really didn't like the starters at all, but playing the ROM through seemed easy with this one)
Gen. 4: Piplup (Best starter for this one because Empoleon in the long run will have some good defense when trained well)

As you can see, Water is my type choice for starters.
 
Kantoh region -Squirtle
Johtoh region -Totodile
Hoenn region - Mudkip

Sinnoh region - Um... well...
Turtwig
Piplup

WHY DID YOU DO THIS TO ME? Why nintendo? Do I choose the water pokemon? Do I choose the turtle? I don't know which one to choose. ;___;
 
Charmander, Cyndaquil, Torchic, and Chimchar are my favorite types from each region. But, my favorite would have to be Charmander. I always choose the fire types even though I'm not a huge fan of fire types. =P
 
Kanto: Squirtle

Hoenn: Torchic

Sinnoh: Piplup

I don't really care for the hoenn starters all that much, but torchic would have to be the one I dislike the least.

The defining difference in my list is Torchic; due to the fact that I rather dislike Mudkip, (regardless of how "awesome it becomes") Torchic was the other of two Starters that Generation III had that I liked. Treecko was good, but I preferred Torchic, in all honesty.
- Noticed how at least one Starter has been a bird of sorts that does not have Flying as its other type, in the past two Generations? On top of that, there have been two consecutive Fire/Fighting Starters.

Cyndaquil very nearly came close to toppling Totodile, however. I guess for Starter Pokemon, Generation II was probably the strongest, for me, while Generation III was the weakest. Both Generation I and II hold Starters of which all three I like, however, Generation II holds more "points" towards it.

Looks like I started off training just fire-type starters, then switched over to the water-types. Those are my two favourite types, so it works out.

Squirtle
Chikorita/Cyndaquil -I can't choose, they're both so cute. XD
Mudkip -All Time Favorite!
Piplup -Although, I really don't like any of them..
 
Kanto: Squirtle (and is still my fave starter of all time <3)
Johto: Totodile/Cyndaquil. I usually toss a coin to decide on this one :]
Hoenn: that would be Torchic :3
Sinnoh: Piplup.

Johto- Cyndaquil

My decisions are based on the looks of the pokemon.
 
My Favourite starters are the Hoenn ones because they break the sterotypes, like Treeco is the only grass starter not to walk on all fours and they all have great types, like Mudkip is an awesome mix of ground and water.
