Your Happiest Moment

What was the happiest moment(s) in your Pokemon career? Was it that moment you got your first game? Beat the game for the first time? Caught your first shiny? A special moment in a plotline?

Mine would have to be the moment I got my first game, Pokemon Crystal. I was so thrilled and and thanked my mom hundred of times it felt like. It was the best gift I had ever received and is still in the top 5 all-time.

I would also have to say beating Crystal for the first time and listening to the music play as my team was entered into the Hall of Fame was surreal. After endless hours of struggling to learn the game and traversing the great region of Johto, I finally made my way through the E4 and Lance to become the Champion (thanks Feraligatr and Suicune). Its a moment I'll never forget.

My happiest moment was when I beat Crystal for the first time, and was so excited about what waited ahead for me in Kanto. It was nice to know that the story was far from over! Playing Crystal in general was a very great experience so beating it was really fun and satisfying.

One of my favorite moments was when I was out to dinner with my then-boyfriend (now husband) a few years back. We were eating at a favorite local restaurant. I ran into my first ever wild shiny (all others had been bred or traded for), so now we consider the booth we sat in our lucky booth!

I remember beating the Elite Four and Champion in Sapphire for the first time. Was on Christmas vacation, and I kept trying and trying, eventually bringing in Kyogre to finish the job.

Since then I have never used legendary Pokemon in my runs. Felt like a cheap victory.

My happiest moment ever was when the RSE remakes, ORAS, were announced. The RSE games were the biggest part of my childhood growing up and knowing that I'd get to relive it again just brought a tear of joy to my eyes that I will never forget. The games weren't as great as I had hoped but I still had a ton of fun exploring Hoenn again.

Another of mine was a very recent one but when Sun and Moon were announced. Though there isn't much information out there about them, the announcement struck a chord with me and I haven't been able to get off the Happy train. I'm so excited for these games to come out and the excitement I have can't be put into words.

This will sound corny but for me, my happiest moment was getting Pokemon X.

I have been playing Pokemon for 16 years and to see the games come to life in that generation was a pure ecstatic experience for me.
