Have you ever loved a game, probably more so from nastolgia, that when you tell to someone they have no idea what your talking about? What would be your most obscure game youve ever played?

I actually have a few. One is the oddworld series. No, not the craptast-in-compairison xbox one- the ones for ps1/pc. The other game is probably pac-man 2, the new adventures. its a snes/genisis game that if pac-mans face wasnt slapped on it, it would barely change the gameplay. Its usually either despised or loved, and i loved it.

    Mine is...

Need for Speed High Stakes, made in 1999, and everyone else jumps to the stupid new games, tuning a Toyota to beat a Porsche is no fun for me, now muscle cars on the other hand...

My disc went to junk yesterday and my computer has out for the old NFS games , I swear.

Yep. Super mario world and all 3d zeldas. God damn sony and microsoft fans. Also the firkin awsome game of chibi-robo. That thing wants to make you swear when it comes to the battery but its o so fun.

Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja(DS)

A fun (Yet frustratingly hard) Dugeon Crawler not unlike Chunsoft's Mysterious Dugeon Franchise. It' so hard, the whole game is basically built in a "two steps forward, one step back" format of progression. The Main character appeared in another DS game that had her and alot of other Ninja Studio game characters.

    Hoshigami: Ruining Blue Earth (PSOne)
Hoshigami: Ruining Blue Earth Remix (DS)

A PSone strategy RPG that was recently remade for DS. It has a stong plot, Deep Character depth, and is overall a must-have for Srategy RPG Fanatics.

MAJOR IMPORTANT EDIT: I found out a Sequel of Izuna is already out in Japan, and is coming over to the US July 22nd, the same day as Final Fantasy IV, also for DS

    ^ I love Hoshigami.

Tales of Legendia, for one. Everyone knows Symphonia, but so few have played Legendia (which, in my opinion is better. xD).

Shadow Hearts used to be obscure, and I started playing that in '01 when it came out. Recently, it's become more popular, especially after the release of Covenant (which sucked *bitterbitter*).

Shin Megami Tensei! \o/ I love Nocturne and Digital Devil Saga...and Persona. <3 Thankfully with the release of Persona 3, it's gaining a bit more popularity, which means ATLUS may actually start manufacturing more than ten copies! \o/

Robopon Sun Version was like...the God of games when I was younger. <33 I still pick it up and play.

I play so many obscure games.

Sekaijyu no Meikuu 2: Such a hit here in Japan, but I don't hear much of it on English websites, even though the first game is released in English under the title, "Etrian Odyssey".
Obscure, because of harsh game balance. Recommended for masochists everywhere.

Uprising: Join or Die — best hybrid RTS/FPS (Windows 95, 1997).
Sub Rebellion — most underrated game ever (Playstation 2, 2002).

I still have both games, they have such awesome and unique weapons, and the latter has a good storyline...

If you'd like an example, in Uprising there's a weapon called a Spline Gun that is like some kind of... spline. o_O While fired continuously, it looks like some big white floppy beam of some description, it latches onto a locked target and... sucks protons from them? Well that's what the game says. It doesn't work at all against infantry, but will suck the power out of vehicles nicely enough. All the protons it extracts from its target are somehow used to restore the player's tank's HP, so it's a pretty good weapon if you need to stay in a battle but find your health bar mostly red.

Every "Tales of" game except Symphonia, which a few of my friends know about. Then there's Grandia 3, which was an INCREDIBLE game, but none of my friends have ever heard of.

Re-Volt (PC Version) FTW! It's seriously obscure. Probably because people think, "oh, this game is from 1999, must be boring compared to today's games, and its just an RC racing game. *yawnz* *goes and buys some Final Fantasy game that just came out*"

In all seriousness, It's probably one of the longest lasting games in existence. So customizable, so awesome. People still race online today. Including me, provided I have a stable 'net connection. But seriously. It's probably the best obscure game ever.

Doki doki majo shinpan. Dont ask just looki it up. I get bored what can I say. Also okami. I am like the only one who bought it.

naughty game ;) And okami isnt really an obscure game, although i still havent played it :x

YES. Megaten rules. I've played DDS and Persona 3, and both were incredibly well-done. Persona 3 especially, it's one of my favorite games right now.

But my absolute favorite is Lunar 2:Eternal Blue Complete. I dunno if it's generally considered obscure, but I've only met about 3 people in real life who've played it, so I'm counting it as obscure. Anyway, Lunar 2 may be from 2000, and it's graphics are nothing special, but the storyline and the characters are superb. The best part is, every npc in the game has some sort of witty dialogue that changes throughout the story, and is unbelievably funny.

The Incredible Machine, and Revolt I'd have to say.

TIM is a puzzle game, where you have to make various "contraptions" to complete goals to progress and well someone already explained Revolt :)

Super Robot Wars is about as Obscure as it gets for me, aside from a couple of old SNES games.

Think advance wars/fire emblem with mecha. <3

    SRPGs > RPGs for me.

Another one would be Ikaruga. Classy game, that.

Yeah thats why I said google it. And okami sold 15 copies or something like that. And my friends are sony fiends so thats why its obscure. And its coming to why thnk god.

Though it really isn't an obscure game, no one ever knew what I was talking about when I spoke of Okami. An awesome game which wasn't really known at first but then grew. It got released quite a long time ago as a Demo and I think people forgot about it becuase it took so long to come out...it did have quite a quiet release in the UK. But yeah, that and the Odd world series, even though it is actually quite popular.
