Your Past and Present Starters

    Hello people. In this thread post all of the starters from each rpg game you've played and why you chose it.

    Mine are:
    Blue-Squirtle (I thought I had to choose the starter on the box LOL)
    Gold-Cyndaquil ( I wanted to start with a fire type)
    Ruby-Treecko ( I wanted to sample the grass type for a change)
    Emerald-Torchic (This is when I liked the fire type so I picked it again)
    Diamond-Turtwig ( He looked so cute and Torterra looked awesome)
    Platinum-Turtwig ( Because I loved turtwig from Diamond)
     
    As far as Red and Blue go, i've chosen them all at some stage. But the first I chose was Bulbasaur because the official guide told me to haha. I then re-wrote that game save and chose Squirtle because he's one of my fave starters from any generation.

    In Silver I first chose Chikorita and again I wrote over that save and decided to go with Totodile. I chose Chikorita because I foolishly thought that because Grass was a good starter choice in Red and Blue, it'd be the same in Gold and Silver. Can't remember why I chose Totodile in honesty but i've still got that same game going on Silver atm, Feraligatr is in my team proper and i've recently hit 300 hours :D

    Red - Charmander
    Silver - Totodile
    Gold - Cyndaquil
    Crystal - Chikorita
    Sapphire - Mudkip
    Ruby - Torchic
    Emerald - Treecko
    Diamond - Piplup
    Pearl - Turtwig
    Platinum (When it comes to the UK) - Piplup
     
    Crystal - Chikorita

    Platinum (when comes out) - Chimchar!

    Hasn't ever play Red, Blue, Gold, Silver. O.O
     
    Well, I always start with the Fire Type for the first game I play of each generation. But for the following games I get, it changes up a little:

    Blue: Charmander
    Silver: Cyndaquil
    Crystal: Totodile
    Ruby: Torchic
    Sapphire: Torchic
    Emerald: Torchic
    FireRed: Charmander
    LeafGreen: Squirtle
    Diamond: Chimchar
    Pearl: Turtwig
    Platinum: Turtwig
     
    Red - Charmander
    Silver - Cyndaquil
    Sapphire - Treecko
    Diamond - Chimchar

    Sapphire is the only time I didn't choose the fire-starter the first time through the game. I just thought Torchic looked kinda lame. =/
     
    Red-Bulbasaur. That was because of the first two gym leaders.
    Silver-Cyndaquil. I liked how it looked.
    Ruby-Treecko. My sister decided on Mudkip so I decided on Treecko.
    Pearl-Piplup because I liked Empoleon.
    Platinum-Turtwig. I already decided on Piplup and since I was going to port it over I decided to go with a different starter.

    An easy reply. It's always been the fire types for me. The ONLY water one I could see myself getting would have been Squirtle and I don't like grass Pokemon in general.
     
    I've chosen them all...but the main ones are:

    As you can see, its mostly the fire starters.. hehe
     
    I've used all of them at some point but these are the starters I picked my first time through each game.
