Volcano (Blaziken) lv 100
Quake (Groudon) lv 85
Cyclone (Rayquaza) lv 85
Meteor (Metagross) lv 85
Tsunami (Kyogre) lv 85
Salamandra (Salamence) lv 85

as you can see, I like the number 85 :P

but i'm probably taking the legendaries out...or at least Cyclone 'cause his defense sucks...and possibly Volcano because his speed and defense suck but i can't treat my starter like that!!!

I will assume that he rotates them as needed, although it is highly unusual to have more than six Pokes on a "team".

Umm, Blaziken's speed does not suck, only its defenses and the number of weaknesses it has suck. I would take out the Kyogre, Groudon, and Rayquaza as legendaries are cheap and against the crappy AI they are not matched at all. Metagross and Salamence are good choices, and you should either get a Swampert or a Whiscash as they get STAB on Earthquake and a decent water move like Surf, as well as at least one of them being able to learn Ice Beam to counter their only weakness to Grass types. Blaziken should be kept in as long as it has Sky Uppercut for STAB and a decent fire move like Flamethrower. Also, if you are playing Emerald and have beaten the Elite Four go to Battle Frontier and get it Thunderpunch so it can counter Water and Flying types. For the final two POkemon, try something defensive like a Blissey or Umbreon (if used properly, Umbreon, Celebi, and Shuckle are practically impossible to kill).

I was with until the when you included Shuckle in that list. Shuckle is the most overrated Poke in the history of Pokemondom. While Shuckle's base defenses are extremely high (230 in each), the highest in the game, its horribly pathetic base HP (20) makes Shuckle almost completely useless. It must resort to stalling and annoying tactics, which ironically work better against it.

Oh right, my bad, I never checked Shuckle's HP stat, just its Defenses, and yeah it also has crappy attacks. Umbreon is probably the best out of those three seeing as Celebi is practically impossible to obtain legitimately.

My Blaziken's speed is 187. On level 100. yeah. and it knows aerial ace.
I do have a Swampert...and a whiscash...so yeah that'll work.
my metagross knows earthquake.
I kno shuckle has the highest max defense ever, and blissey has high HP.....
I have a snorlax? and i want to know a good way to use Absol (see my avatar and forum name :P).

ABSOL @ Lum Berry/Liechi Berry/Leftovers
Pressure
- Shadow Ball
- Return
- Crunch
- HP Fighting/Aerial Ace
EV's: Naive (+Spd, -SD)
124 HP/128 Atk/4 Def/124 Spd/128 SA/

Try this Absol. For the hold item, I would use Leftovers because I don't like the way berries are only a one time use, and Leftovers also gives consistent HP recovery. Also, in the fourth moveslot, I would use Aerial Ace as Hidden Power can take so long to get perfect, so it doesn't seem worth the effort, and Aerial Ace also covers Absol's huge Fighting and Bug weaknesses (which are also its only weaknesses).
HP Fighting 70
31 HP, 31 Atk, 30 Def, 30 Spd, 30 SA, 30 SD

That is one of the two DV sets you will need to get the attack rating of HP Fighting to 70, but DV's are impossible to manipulate without the help of some form of cheating device, so Aerial Ace is a safer option to use.

My team in Emerald:

Charizard (Flares) - My first pokemon ever from FireRed
Raichu (Sparky)
Vaporeon (Buddy) - A real trooper, this Vaporeon
Zapdos (Shocker)
Butterfree
Pidgeot

Yeah, one of my best teams.

Can someone give me a good moveset for Rhyhorn/Rhydon

I'm thinking of EQ, RS and Megahorn...

but I don't know about the other move, or whether that is a good set for Rhydon
(I would also like a good nature etc for Rhydon)

Moveset and EV's for Rhydon, with preferred nature:

Rhydon @ Choice Band
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 200 HP / 252 Atk / 58 Def
Earthquake
Rock Blast/Rock Slide
Megahorn
Double-Edge/Focus Punch

I use this set \/ , which i find works really well, but make sure he has the Rock Head Trait.

Earthquake
Rock Slide < Gets rid of annoying flying pokemons that aren't affected by EQ
Megahorn
Double-Edge < Doesn't receive the damage!

Hope I Helped!

Legendaries are cheap. Ho-oh is one of the worst due to the fact that any halfway decent rock type can OHKO it, e.g. my Aerodactyl with Choice Band and Rock Slide. Mew and Mewtwo are pointless on the same team as they can both be taken down by a more superior Psychic type, or even a Ghost/Dark Pokemon. Suicune is a very good choice, and Raikou I'm not sure about. Don't use Suicune and Vaporeon on the same team though as they are basically the same and Suicune is superior I think.

The replacements I would suggest are:
Ho-oh - Charizard/Blaziken
Mew - Alakazam/Gengar
Mewtwo - Gardevoir/Dusclops
Raikou - Jolteon/Pikachu (only use Pikachu if you have Pokemon box so that it gets Surf)
Suicune - Suicune/Vaporeon
Vaporeon - Tyranitar/Dragonite/Salamence

I kept all the types the same except for Vaporeon as I'm assuming you want to use Pokemon with those typings.

What about a good moveset etc for Snorlax (sorry if this belongs in the FRLG thread but i'm trading over to my emerald game at the moment)

Snorlax @ Leftovers
Trait: Thick Fat
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Curse
- Earthquake / Shadow Ball
- Rest
- Return / Body Slam

This is Cursepert. Like ubers, you should avoid using it against the weak AI as it is just too powerful. It Curses up, raising its Atk and Def, and then sweeps away. Earthquake does a lot of damage, but Shadow Ball allows it to hit Ghosts with Levitate that it couldn't otherwise. Return or Body Slam is also your preference. Return is the best option for power, while Body Slam has a chance of parahax, that could make Snorlax attack first.

Snorlax @ Leftovers
Trait: Thick Fat
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Double-Edge / Return / Body Slam
- Earthquake / Shadow Ball
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Stalkerlax. Aborbs statuses and destroys things while it sleeps. Double-Edge is risky since the recoil can be a pain, but it could make the difference between KO'ing and have to absorb another attack.

Or try this one, one of my personal favourites.

SNORLAX With: Leftovers
Immunity
- Return
- Shadow Ball
- Explosion
- Earthquake
EVs:
Calm (+SD -SA) 76 HP/ 136 Atk/ 136 Def/ 4 Spd/ 156 SD

Explosion is great for destroying powerful opponents but the other attacks suffice for the crappy AI.

I liken it to Yugioh, where there was a little bird (I cannot for the life of me remember the name of it since I haven't played the game in so long, but I think it started with a Y) that was similarly broken. Once the little birdie came out the game was over. It was VERY frustrating to play against, especially since most noobs used it because they weren't skilled enough to play without it. Similar to those who use ubers in Pokemon.

Yata Garasu, I believe it is. I've heard of it, but don't know what it does...

Oh and about the Magical Leaf on the Kirlia, it's actually OK if it evolves to Gardevoir. Gardevoir also has Magical Leaf as a starting move.

Oh, and actually, the Calm nature lowers Attack, not Special Attack. The nature that raises Special Defense and lowers Special Attack is Careful.

I will assume that he rotates them as needed, although it is highly unusual to have more than six Pokes on a "team".
Why must everyone be dumbfounded by my team? After beating the elite four the first time, I deposited Raichu and Dugtrio, and caught and trained Skarmory and Hitmontop as their replacements.

uh, new blue, there are eight pokemon, not six(????).-
Of course it's 8 can't you count?

SNORLAX With: Choice Band
Immunity
- Return
- Shadow Ball
- Selfdestruct
- Earthquake
EVs: 8 HP / 252 Atk / 136 Def / 112 SDef
Careful(+SD -SA)

Explosion is great for destroying powerful opponents but the other attacks suffice for the crappy AI.
I fixed your Snorlax for you. Snorlax cannot learn Explosion, so I am pretty sure you meant Selfdestruct. Your set is the typical CBlax, so might as well add the Choice Band and fix the EVs.

Yata Garasu! Birdie from hell! Its effect is that it prevented your opponent from drawing their next turn. Essentially, if your opponent couldn't play a card they would have to concede. That bird lead to the dreaded combo with a certain Dragon of Chaos (again, I cannot remember the name) that was extremely cheap and resulted both cards from being allowed in normal tournaments.

Okay, enough of that. Magical Leaf is still a wasted move on Gardevoir, even if it is a starting move. Hypnosis and Will-O-Wisp are infinitely better.
