..you've been better since I came along.
^ Props to anyone who knows those lyrics.
Anyway, onto the topic of Wi-Fi battling. I've had two battles today from people over at the Gamefaqs board, both people quit the battle just before I was about to win.
Battle 1:
Battle 2:
So, my question is: Have you had a cowardly opponent quit just as you were about to win just to avoid a blotch on their trainer record? Or, have you actually quit a battle just to keep your win:lose ratio in tact?
And I'm just wondering if there's anything we can do about it. I was thinking of naming and shaming people, but that only works on members of this site, really. :\
But, really, it's annoying as hell and incredibly pathetic. I wish Nintendo would've given an automatic loss for the player that disconnects during battle. Sure, it's a little cruel on the people who legitimately get disconnected, but it'd prevent the cowards from doing the same.

Anyway, onto the topic of Wi-Fi battling. I've had two battles today from people over at the Gamefaqs board, both people quit the battle just before I was about to win.
Battle 1:
Spoiler:
Opponent was down to two Pokémon: A weakened Snorlax and badly poisoned Ambipom. I had three Pokémon left and had just brought out Heracross. Just as I went to, presumably, KO his Snorlax, he quits the game.
Battle 2:
Spoiler:
Opponent was in the lead to start with. His Metagross KOing my Togekiss. (managed to get a Yawn in, which turned the tide of the battle, really) I bring out Tyranitar and Dragon Dance. He hits me with an Earthquake before falling asleep. I perform another DD and then Earthquake it. He brings out Glaceon and KOs me with an Ice Beam and an item, presumably a berry, that allowed it to go first?
I bring out Glaceon, get a OHKO. He then brings out Drapion, who then gets 2HKO'd by Gengar. He follows up with his Gengar. My Gengar goes first and it's another OHKO. He's down to two Pokémon, I have four left, though Gengar is on it's last legs. He brings out Infernape. I hit a Hypnosis to put it to sleep. Immediately after, he quits.
