You're sentenced to a death

Poland is smaller than America, and is content with what it has. America is greedy and greed does bad things to a person's psyche. Like more people are imprisoned in California than most of Europe. What works in one place doesn't work everywhere. Never has. It's possible that it never will.

a few things i think would help solve the "overcrowding prisons" and "financial cost" issues: stop throwing people in prison for petty crimes and stop treating the prisoners like kings with their cable tv and exercise equipment. i think that would be a start. but anyway

I didnt know that illegal was a race.

Hahaha. Not what you said, you said illegal immigrants, and in America, by and large that means Hispanics.

Not really. Tax money ends up going to support them as well, as well as jobs that legal citizens could use, especially in this economy. But that just stems up an off-topic debate so I will drop it there.

Good.

No, it's just that we;re a larger country. Which, I guess does play into greed. If we were smaller, we'd have less people in jail for life, becuase their'd be less people to put their, so it wouldn't be a problem.

Haha I actually talked about that a bit in my huge ignored analysis... The prison population would be drastically decreased if people who committed petty crimes weren't placed in that situation.

Plus I think the "king treatment" is an excuse for a distraction to keep riots from happening more frequently. Another lose-lose situation that the world has put itself in. There's no quick duct tape fix to be found there.

Yeah yeah, Roger that. I will not compare USA to Poland ever again.

Damn, hard to understand everything, always translator. I should practice more...

I agree. I really dont care if there Hispanic, or what ever they race are though. If there illegal, send them back to where they came from. It will save money.

Not necessarily. If we had less people, but the same resource income, yes. That would be the case. But there's always the greed and jealousy that will cause bad things to happen. A lot of wars can be traced to either some influence from some God(s)(I'm just going to say now I'm agnostic and again, drop that piece there because again, off topic.) or jealousy and anger at what one country has that that particular country wants.

Though this isn't about war, perse, a lot of murders tend to have the same fuels... And murder tends to lead to the death penalty, so...

We're just trapped in a downward spiral and there's no quick fix that will turn us around to fight the current back up.

No! No! Compare away! I'm sorry if what I said put the point on the table. Maybe any comparison you throw out could help us come to a solution to end debates such as these?

I am against it. Not because I care about their lives, frankly, I think they deserve death.

However, I think death is an easy way out of punishment. I would much rather die than stay in jail the rest of my life.

That is the only reason I am against it.

That, is some sick thinking.

how is that sick? spending your days in monotony, confined in a cell with nothing to do but think and reflect on your actions, i think i'd prefer death too

His business. Not to judge.

Like I said... Everyone deserves to live. If someone did very unforgetable murder, then that someone deserve to rot in jail until natural death. That's what I think.
We just think that we can't take someones life. Then we would be like this murder... Descend to this level.

Rot in prison for the rest of life is worse than death. People want murders to suffer, especially in my country. For some it is easy to get used to, in total.

I agree with you. But a lot of the time "justice" has a bit of a connotation of stooping to the wrongdoer's level.

Torture is even worse. That is why it is sick.

I wouldn't call annuity a torture... This is natural sentence for murder, who killed on purpose. He is being in prison until his natural death. For someone it can be a torture... For another - redemption... And for other - routine.

Okay, I have to say that I support it, but not for just anyone. If someone robbed a convenience store, don't go killing them for that. But if someone murdered someone, after going through court and making sure it wasn't personal defence or anything like that, then I truly do feel that the only reasonable punishment for killing someone is to die yourself. It's just not humaine to kill.

I'd also like to point out that crime rates are generally lower in states where capital punishment is legal.

Its not humaine to kill... Hmmm then what is the death penalty?

Only in... very extreme cases.

A few years ago, a man threw four very young babies off of a bridge over a dispute with his wife.

He got the death penalty, which, in my opinion, is extremely justified.

As to the issues of overcrowded prisons...

I agree with the person who stated that we need to stop imprisoning people for small crimes. Work camps are, in my opinion, the best way to make a person repay his debt to society.

I'm not talking concentration camps, or Stalinist Russia camps, I'm referring to places where prisoners can pay back the community. Of course, this wouldn't apply to murderers, kidnappers, or any other extreme criminals, just the lighter crimes to lighten the load on prisons.

Do you support death penalty in countries? If you do not or do, why?
Yes because when criminals get convicted they would just be the same. They also waste resources and take too much space like building new jail establishments (or whatever you call it). Hard luck for the innocent people who get convicted.

If you do, who deserves it and who do not?
Criminals, murderers, rapists, bad people, etc.

Just throwing out interesting topics
So interesting I think I'm gonna throw up.

because the best way to teach people that killing is wrong, is by killing other people right?

Now, i think this goes both ways. Some criminals deserved what they got. Take Timothy McVeigh (the Oklahoma city bomber) for instance. But i also think death is the easy way out. Living it whats hard to do. There are worse things in this world than dying.. Letting a criminal rot in prison for the rest of their life would be a better and more fitting punishment i think.
