ZELDA ... find out by going
Grr...TSA!!!
There are a few people who want to turn Zelda into movies:
- Joe Morris (Wants to make an animated trilogy based on his own original story; we haven't heard from him for over a year now.
- Ew, no. I've seen his artwork, it's nothing greater than the quality of some fanart. We have access to a bit of his story too. And God no! Why does Link have a sidekick? And a dog? And he's never gone to save Zelda because he love her, darn it!!! *explodes* Luckily, this'll never see the light of dat.
- Joe Cracker (Film based on the old cartoon series)
- The fact that I said based on the cartoon series should be enough of a turn off already. He was a forum goer at IGN, he claimed to have a script and was looking for help. He's ideas stink, the basis was just so he could hear the voice Allan Stewart (Triforce of Power) again. And he wanted the animation to be the same too. Eww...this has less of chance than the other Joe's.
A video game series as great as Zelda should not be put in the hands of average Joes. What does this leave?
- TSA (Film trilogy based on original stories influence by the games)
- I've been following this for a while. It started as a single film with influence from OoT, WW, and ALttP. I read an earlier draft of the first act of the script aswell. It was good. He is in film school and knows about movies and such, but some things I didn't like too much. Mido was too much of a donkey for his own good, Saria and Link didn't seem to have as close a bond as I would've thought. Saria was just kinda there. And because it was an original story there were inaccuracies. He has connections with Nintendo for whatever reason, is the world's greatest Zelda fan, and is in film school. He may very well do it.
- Me, TRIFORCE89 (One film per game based on the game and manga, as accurate as possible)
- Since the first time I played through OoT I wanted to turn it into a movie. I work on the script and how things will connect and characters and everything in my free time. That's why I do all my Zelda research, to make the films as good as possible. That's why I have my knowledge. In the benning I'd work out the timelines and little details, then I started making theories and analyzing, now I'm making a big character document of everyone. With that I narrow it down and then develop the friendships and relationship, as that is a huge theme in Zelda (MM anyone?). I want it to be computer animated too. I'd have control over everything that way. I want to do this really really badly, and I've wanted to for a long time. I'd be devastated if TSA beats me. I hope he makes his indie films, but I hope Nintendo gives zero approval or the authorization, let him distribute over the interent. For my films will be what we all want, a video game movie that stays true to the games.
The heat is on! Lol

Yeah I probably will get both anyway. Triforce, I have read that and I agree with him totally, especially on the voice acting thing because if they wanna do a voice they would have to get it absolutely perfect or it will mess up the game alot. I also agree with the flashback thing because it was cool in OoT where we got a flashback of Links past XD.

Umm...the things you're commenting on/agree with are from my post. I wrote those comments. TSA didn't say anything about getting the voices perfect or having the FMVs be flashbacks (he just said cinematices, that could include say...a confronation with Ganondorf). Don't just read I wrote, read his stuff in the link I provided aswell.
