    [PokeCommunity.com] Zygrade (Perfect) Theory

Take note on the 5 colors on his chest.

    Just what if....
The one of the left represents Xerneas...
The one on the very right represents Yveltal...
The ones touching the one in the middle represent the Sun/Moon Legends...
And the Middle one represents Zygrade itself...

Could Zygrade be the embodiment of the Earth itself and forces that act on/within it (Life/Moon/Earth-itself/Sun/Death)? Zygrade can then be the protector of the newest region that's given on the description of the Strange Souvenir. It's perhaps the protector of Earth itself?

In the Anime, Zygrade is a stepping stone for Team Flare so their own goals may be accomplished (Making the Earth beautiful again). So what if in X/Y they Team Flare was using the weapon in order to create an event that Zygrade would have to react? Zygrade would be embodying that title of "Protector" and be protecting the planet from such a destructive force.

Yup, I agree. I think Zygarde is going to be related to the Sun/Moon box legends in at least some way.

I had the theory of Zygarde representing the earth for awhile. I believe it's body produces a similar power to the Earth's core. We saw Magma/Aqua power up the meteorite into a mega stone potential stone using Mt. Chimney. Maxie even mentions the core irc during that scheme.

I agree entirely with Zygarde being essential to these games in some way. There's no way they can really get around it. However, I don't think those markings mean anything. Aesthetically it looks nice - that might be all it means. I can't help but think it won't mean anything more than that marking-wise, but in terms of the games themselves, Zygarde definitely has to play a part. The Zygarde formes existing is enough proof for me that they're not done with Zygarde's story (and probably enough proof for most people).

I just can't see them giving Zygarde any more attention after the Anime arc for it ends. I don't see or believe it'll have any relevance in Sun and Moon at this point. Maybe it'll show itself at a later point, but I see them just giving Zygardes out with it's signature abilities near the end of the anime's arc revolving around it or with the movie like they did with Meloetta since she didn't get a major movie role but still was part of a distribution.

Since Zygarde plays a minor role in the next movie (if any role outside of the short that accompanies the movie that is), that's when I see them distributing it. The Volcanion distribution is just for pre-ordering the ticket for his movie so they still have a distribution for the actual movie's release.

Great theory I like it when game freak makes little details like that I don't feel Zygrade will play a big role in sun and moon, but possibly a side quest and the end of the game that would be cool

I definitely don't think it's a coincidence he has the colors of Sun and Moon on his chest.

I kind of have a feeling gen 7 will act as sort of a continuation of gen 6, in terms of plot, etc. It seemed like they were building up quite a bit of interesting lore throughout X/Y and ORAS, but it felt really incomplete. Perhaps that was intentional.

Remember that we got Regigigas way after Gen 3 and he's the master of the trio of Regi.

Instead of getting a new pokemon like Regigigas for the trio he would get a new form that will kind of act like a new pokemon, it's about the same as Kyurem who got 2 forms.

Pretty much what I was thinking, but I feel as if Zygrade will have more involvement in the game as opposed to Regigigas had (Like a "Delta Episode" for Sun/Moon).

I can see what you mean, it's not been uncommon we had a new legendary or new form introduced in a game (or heck even an entire generation) after their affiliates were introduced.

When the ecosystem is under threat, and the Core concludes that the 50% Forme will be unable to deal with it, the Core takes on the Complete Forme. Its power is said to be greater than that of the Legendary Pokémon Xerneas and Yveltal!

This is the description from Serebii.net, so I wouldn't be too hard pressed to believe your theory! What I don't see is Zygarde's story being the main component of S/M, but a continuation of an end-game story.

Instead of a Pokemon Z, it's an additional story that may piggyback from X/Y's end-game in S/M. I'd be okay with this!
