That's not what he's trying to say... He's trying to say that if you don't already have a 3DS, in his opinion it won't be worth it because a lot of the 3DS games stink. If X and Y isn't as good as it seems and it's the only reason you buy a 3DS, he's saying it will be a total waste of money.
And it's only your opinion that AC:NL was awesome. Just because one game that you liked on that system was nice doesn't automatically make his opinion awful. (I liked the game too, but it seems that what your saying is that one game made the whole system look amazing.)
And I agree, the Mario Kart and Mario 3D Land games were pretty bad. And don't forget Pokémon Rumble and Nintendogs.
Funny thing about opinions , when a lot of people have the same one it tends to become fact
In regards to AC:NL this is from Wikipedia
The game itself has received overwhelmingly positive reviews. The Japanese version of the game received a 39/40 from Japanese magazine Famitsu, earning the publication's Platinum Award,[50] while the English version received an 8.0/10 from GameSpot, and a 9.6/10 from IGN.[59][60] The game also scored an 88/100 on Metacritic indicating "generally favorable reviews".[8] Many critics seem to agree that the game's visuals are great, and that the game has enough new content to keep both new and veteran players excited.
The game debuted in Japan with sales of just over 800,000 units sold with 200,000 of them being digital.[61][62]Animal Crossing: New Leaf became the first 3DS game in Japan to pass 2 million units sold, doing so in just under 2 months.[63] As of 31 March 2013 the game has sold 3.86 million copies in Korea and Japan.[64]
So in conclusion if someone were to say this is the best game ever that would be an opinion , if someone were to say that this game is awesome, well that would be fact since awesome is not a measurable unit and is determine by what people think , so by the response the game has had .....yes it is indeed awesome
And since its the job of the game to really sell the system , I can totally see one game making a system worth playing, now was ACNL that game? Well not for me but for some people it is. And I truly believe that the main series pokemon games that will be on the 3ds will be the games to make buying a 3ds worth it even if its just playing those games .
Did anyone here have a ps2? I didn't I had $200-$300 kingdom hearts playing machine lol ( get the point?)
