Lol, yeah.
Hmm, favorite Pokemon from GSC...Espeon. Before I knew anything about competitive Pokemon, Espeon's firepower with Psychic heavily impressed me.
For D/P competitive, favorite RBY/GSC Pokemon would have to be Moltres. Now that it has Roost and WoW, I can actually beat stuff like...
Aerodactyl (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Rock Head
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Ice Fang
- Stone Edge
- Fire Fang
---
Since Smogon made Aero UU, I've been abusing the piss out of this highly broken Pokemon. Choice Band variety, hits hard and fast. If I snag a...
Personally I would go with an offensive Gyara > Scarfdos or Bulkydos. Since your team is pretty effective in wearing down counters with entry hazards and residual damage, a very fast Gyara that does not carry Life Orb would be your best bet, since it would clean up the mess the rest of your team...
I don't think the weapons are really intended to hit. They are to confuse, intimidate, repel enemy weapons, and throw your opponent off balance (except for Tenten, she actually intends to hit with them).
Meh, I screwed around with this team a lot, didn't help, it still sucks in comparison to most of my teams. I'm just going to scrap this one and do another since it's for Shoddy and it's easy to make new teams.
I'm nearly twenty, been playing ever since R/B came out here in the US. Sis makes fun of me because I still play, says I'm too old to like Pokemon and that I should like to watch the news and politics and such.
I'm so with you on that offensive Gyara vs bulky Gyara thing, I never put LO on my offensive Gyara but I did stuff like EV'd it to hit 398 after a dance, which tears up all other DDers that aim for 396 to beat Aero. Though I liked when everyone used bulky Gyara, my offensive Gyara would tear up...
Well, I was planning on getting some Shoddy testing in, but I instead ended up spending my weekend working on a porch. So I didn't get to test anything on this team.
Also, should I lead off with Nite or Hippowdon? Since this team greatly benefits from Sandstorm (It's actually a TSS team) I...
Personally I've both had more success with and more problems with Swords Dance Infernape than any other physical sweeper, including Garchomp and Gyarados. That's because I counter MixApe with Psychetres, the Moltres set I advertise as being a counter for standard Milotic and Vaporeon (and I'm...
Dragonite @ Leftovers
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SAtk / 6 Atk
Nature: Mild (SAtk+/Def-)
- Substitute
- Focus Punch
- Surf
- Thunderbolt
Can hit decently hard, scares off Bronzong leads with the threat of Fire moves, pwns Gyara leads with Thunderbolt and subs up if someone switches. Just like Boahtar but...
Get rid of Trick Room. Please. Trick Room on this team is classified as instant suicide. Your team consists almost entirely of fast sweepers, so you've just crippled every one of them when you use Trick Room. Metagross hits SE on 4 of 6 of your team and Trick Room makes him faster than...
Not much can resist combo of Psychic + Flamethrower (Heatran and Tyranitar are the biggest ones), so consider Hidden Power [Fighting] on Azelf over Grass Knot since it hits most that resist Psychic + Flamethrower SE (Heatran is the only that isn't either Dark or Psychic, and HP Fight hits Dark...
Forretress w/ Leftovers
Impish/Sturdy
252HP/252DEF/6ATK
Earthquake
Rapid Spin
Stealth Rock
Explosion
Don't see anything wrong with this, I just wouldn't lead off with him.
Blissey w/ Leftovers
Bold/Natural Cure
148HP/252DEF/104SP.ATK/4SPD
Seismic Toss
Ice Beam
Softboiled
Toxic/Thunder Wave
If...
