New section, new thread! This one will encompass all types, to reduce the "What's your favorite ____ type Pokémon" threads down to just this.

What's your favorite Pokémon (of each type, if you will) and why?

Remember that the no listing rule applies here!

My favorite Pokémon overall is Magnemite.

It's a cunningly simple looking creature, but when you get past the it's-a-ball-with-magnets-stuck-on idea it's quite ingenious how the magnets on its body resemble hands, but also wings or a sort. Having just one eye makes it stand out from a lot of the rest of the 151 251 386 493 649 Pokémon and its small, round shape makes it quite cute looking. I also love the weird electric buzz it makes in the games. It's like 110% suited to it.

My favorite Pokemon is Metapod :3.

I've always had a fascination with Metapod. From the first time I saw it, wondering which way it should face and wondering if it was supposed to look like an angry man with a big nose or a moon :P. But I really like Metapod for his ridiculous lack of strength and how it is utterly useless, which makes me imagine the possibilities of Metapod. Like, what if Pokemon the games were more like the anime and you could train it to harden itself to be as hard as a diamond or something of the sort. Even though it's a childish way of thinking, I can't help it, because I want it to be more than it is. Other than that, I think it's weirdly cute :3.

I had a slip-up last time.

My fave Pokemon is obviously Oshawott, the cutest Water Starter ever introduced! I chose him as my partner in Black and I love his evolutions too. Oshawott even serves as my like, mascot. Marriland, the Pokemon walkthough guy I follow for my walkthrough sources used an Oshawott (now a Samurott) in his Pokemon White Adventure video series. If you are facing difficulty and don't know when to choose between Oshie, Tepig or Snivy - Oshawott is friendly for newer players.

Yeah, Oshawott is basically my fave Pokemon.

Mienshao takes the cake for sure. \o/ I really love its design and the fact that it was modeled after a short-tailed weasel; too cute. Plus its facial expression really makes it seem like the "party leader" type of Pokemon haha.

December 10th, 2011, 4:21 PM
Gallade is my absolute favorite Psychic and Fighitng, as well as non-legendary Pokemon. Not only is its design extremely cool, it has high Attack and a wide movepool. Its Speed may hold it back a bit, but it can be fixed with Choice Scarf.

My favorite legendary Pokemon is Reshiram because the first time I saw it, it reminded me of Blue Eyes White Dragon, one of my favorite cards, from Yu-Gi-Oh. It also has perfect coverage in its STAB Fire and Dragon moves, with the aid of Turboblaze.

December 10th, 2011, 4:27 PM
I love Absol due to its nature. A misunderstood hero that gets hated for trying to do the right things all the time. Plus its attack stat + ability to learn Shadow Claw, Night Slash, Psycho Cut and Slash, and Super Luck I just adore <3

A close second favourite is Snivy. I'm not entirely sure why, but Snivy has just been an amazing addition to the franchise, even if I would punch someone in real life if they had the attitude of a Snivy.

Favourite Legendary would have to be Articuno. It's design is just simply captivating, ever since Yellow I've always been sure to capture an Articuno and have it in one of my teams.

December 10th, 2011, 4:56 PM
One of my favorites is Ursaring because of its ability. Give it a Flame Orb and use Protect the first turn, it'll be devastating the next because of Facade's power and Low Kick to OHKO heavy pokemon.

December 11th, 2011, 12:24 AM
Excadrill is my favourite for both Steel AND Ground. It's a bulky fighter (and good at both of them.) and it has half a drill for a hand. People say natures don't matter ingame, but believe me,run through with a Adamant Excadrill and you'll see. People do reccomend Swords Dance, and it may be good for a bulky, but if you sweep, you do NOT need it. It's so good, infact, it's already considered Uber.

It was Banette but ever since the fifth generation it has switched to Cofagrigus just because it has a cool design and a really good defense which I like.

December 15th, 2011, 11:19 AM
My favorite pokemon will forever be Eevee, of course! The possibilities are endless to me. To begin with, it is so small and simple and even resembles a small fox with it's tail and ears. I love it to pieces. Then, which element will I choose to evolve it into? All of them of course! Each evolution is beautiful in it's own way. Sure, they may not be the most powerful pokemon, but they certainly aren't weak either. I would form an eeveelution team any day.

Elite Overlord LeSabre™

Persian. It will probably always be Persian. Yes, its stats leave a lot to be desired. But I've always been a cat person, and Persian is the original (final evolved) cat Pokemon, and somehow the other cat Pokemon introduced since haven't matched the original. Persian's design is simple, but it exudes elegance and class. And that outweighs its shortcomings IMO.

Shame about the name and it not even remotely resembling RL Persian cats, though.

December 16th, 2011, 2:14 PM
My favs are Smeargle and Kecleon, because their design fascinates me. Smeargle has a beret, a paintbrush tail and it's always busy painting something ^^ I like Kecleon, because it looks so kiddy, and has a line on its tummy that never changes color

December 19th, 2011, 6:51 PM
My favourite Pokémon is Cherrim, which, if you've known my for any length of time longer than 5 minutes, was probably obvious. I don't even have a good reason for liking Cherrim. Yeah, it's absolutely adorable, but when I first latched onto it, I actually actively disliked grass types. xD I still don't like it much as a type. The only reason I began liking it in the first place was because my friend and I were making Pokémon teams for Organization XIII (of Kingdom Hearts origin) when 4th gen came out and we somewhat-jokingly decided Cherrim was perfect for Marluxia (my favourite character) and then I got one and named it after him and the rest is history. True story, even if no one ever believes me because they expect a story like "the moment it leaked as one of the newest Pokémon of gen 4, I loved it forever!!!" but... no. (Relatedly, I like Probopass because I associate it with Naminé. Don't ask.)

Anyway, origins aside, Cherrim is just so vastly ahead of everything else on my favourites list that it's not even a fair fight. I collect all its official merchandise (just missing some cards and various flats), I've trained quite a few in the games (including getting Marluxia to level 100... my first legit max level!), and it's essentially become my online persona, as well. PC is one of only a handful of websites where "Cherrim" is not my username. Most people even associate me with Cherrim instead of necessarily vice versa which is always a win in my books.

No one else is answering the general "favourite of each type" question? Really? Okay. I'll start? o_O;
Normal - Bidoof
I kind of fell in love with Bidoof after I read Adventures of Bidoof or whatever that webcomic is called. u_u Also beavers, Canada, etc. It's adorable.
Fire - Litwick
Litwick is adorable. So cute. :( It makes me sad when people hate on it for being based off a human-made object. (Maybe it was the other way around in the Pokémon world! Don't judge it! ;__;)
Fighting - Pignite
It is an egg in a wrestling suit. :'D #horriblereasonstolikeapokemon
Water - Vaporeon
Before Pichu came around, my favourite Pokémon used to fluctuate evenly between Raichu and Vaporeon, so I've always had quite the soft spot for it. It's my favourite Eevee evolution by far.
Flying - Drifloon
It's cute AND it kidnaps little kids! Or rather, it supposedly attempts to kidnap little kids but it's a balloon. :( The little kids probably just end up kidnapping it.
Grass - Whimsicott
WHOA WHOA HANG ON I'm saying Whimsicott because I already said Cherrim above for my overall favourite. Trying not to be boring here. Whimsicott is a recent favourite which only in the last two months overtook Cherubi. It reminds me a lot of Cherrim (same body type as sunny form) so that's probably why. I was ecstatic to learn it was the Pokémon assigned to Aries in the Unova zodiac.
Poison - Crobat?
I don't really have a favourite poison type but I guess through process of elimination, it could be Crobat? :/ I really enjoyed training one in HGSS so let's go with that.
Electric - Pichu
Pichu was my first real favourite. It took me a long time to admit that my love for Cherrim had run ahead of Pichu. I still really like it but at the same time, I've gotten a little bit bored of it. Luckily, all my other favourite electric types of recent are dual-type so I can still claim Pichu as my favourite electric. :D
Ground - Stunfisk
Derpfish! <3 I was one of the first people I knew to warm up to it. I love its vacant expression.
Psychic - Woobat
woooooooooooooob. idk. I really disliked it until the first time I doodled it all over something I was working on and I've loved it ever since.
Rock - Nosepass
NOSEPASS NEEDS MORE FANS. :( It gets too much hate. (To be fair, I hated it until I ended up liking Probopass... I ended up liking Nosepass based on that alone, haha.)
Ice - Vanillite
I avoided seeing most gen 5 Pokémon until I played it (which wasn't hard since I imported it with fastest shipping, derp). But I accidentally saw Vanillite in Luke's signature one day and had to break my vow so I could ask him how early I could get one. I was only a city away and powerplayed until I got one. It is so, so cute.
Bug - Joltik
I've always really liked spiders so Joltik and Galvantula were early favourites for me from gen 5. Joltik squeezed ahead only by nature of how adorably tiny it is, but I like them fairly equally otherwise.
Dragon - Palkia
...because it looks like something inappropriate. :x
Ghost - Chandelure
It's so, so pretty. I love the design. It's so elegant and something about it just puts me at ease. I think it's one of the best-designed Pokémon ever.
Dark - Houndour
I don't even like dogs but I liked Houndour since before gen 2 officially released, from scans. I think the only reason it isn't a top contender for my favourite is because it was too expensive to collect when I renewed my interest in the fandom by becoming a merch collector. ;_; (One of my most prized collection items, however, is my Houndour Pokédoll.)
Steel - Probopass
This is one of the most hated Pokémon and it makes me so sad to see it mentioned all the time when least favourites come up. D: It's so weird but I can't help but laugh when I see it. I only know a handful of people who don't hate it, nevermind who actually like it. It needs more love. (Fun fact: for the longest time, I didn't realize it had a mustache. I thought it was a nose hair fro and it was the funniest thing in the world.)

December 24th, 2011, 6:53 AM
My fav is definently Aipom. It's just awesome.

January 1st, 2012, 6:52 AM
Close tie between Crobat, Snorlax, and Metagross, but I am going for Crobat. I really loved his design ever since it came out, and with DPPt, I just love him eved more. He is speedy, can actually pack a punch, and has cool typing! Yupp. Definitely him.

January 1st, 2012, 5:25 PM
Hurhurhur, it's have to be Tyrannitar for me. It's huge and powerful, not to mention a Dark type. It's type alignment fascinates me, along with the moves it can learn...

January 1st, 2012, 9:02 PM

Once I saw it about 10 years ago, its has been my favorite Pokemon ever since. Its fat, chubby and likes to sleep.

Although I don't battle, but lurk in the Battling Forum. Battling wise, although it downgraded to UU tier in B/W, its a beast from RBY all the way to RSE with its immerse movepool, high attack and bulkyness . From the famous Curselax to the Gen I Special Attack Snorlax.

Yea, so I really like Snorlax.

January 1st, 2012, 9:06 PM
Ok, lets give reasons.

Bug - Ninjask - I don't really like bug pokemon, but this one is kind of cool
Dark - Honchrow - He is one of the few pokemon that naturally looks like a boss.
Dragon - Hydregion - I've always wanted to see a pokemon that just loves choas
Electric - Magnaton - Mostly nostalgia, I had a really good mangton Pokemon card I loved using.
Fight - Scraggy - Fights well, its funny seeing it in the anime, and is the hispter pokemon
Fire - Ninetails - I like "dark" and beautiful Pokemon, and Ninetails fits,
Flying - Togekiss - It doesn't look like a bird, and its a 3rd stage evolve form that is adorable
Ghost - Chandelure - Because this thing is powerful, and I love gijinkas of this thing
Grass - Liligant - I love the gijinkas, I think it looks adorable, and I hate a lot of other grass types
Ground - Flygon - Same reason for Magnton, nostalgia
Ice - Beartic - Because I loved using it in my game, and I loved it having the nickname Desmond
Normal - Meloetta - I love her apperence
Posion - Roserade - I like the gijinkas of her, the apperence is nice, and like grass and bug; I don't like much of them
Psy - Gardevior - Nice artwork, sprite work, pretty useful in teams, first psychic type I ever used in game
Rock - Probopass - Because I can name it Mario
Steel - Mawile - Nice gijinkas, love the artwork, and it is underatted.
Water - Milotic - I loved sea serpents, and the shiny Milotic I have all the way back from Ruby is still my prized Pokemon

Sorry for not reading rules, here is reasonings.

January 1st, 2012, 10:58 PM
I just decided an hour ago that Aron is my most favorite Pokemon. I adored Steel-types from their debut. I don't know why, since I typically hate defensively oriented Pokemon and Steel-types are just about known for that. Aron is adorable and I first saw it on Ruby. I was determined to catch it and I did! Other than that, I don't really have many reasons. That sounds shallow.

Long entry here:

Normal - Teddiursa
It brings back memories... Those peaceful nights cuddling with a teddy bear! And I like the moon on its forehead. Nice touch.

Fighting - Combusken
KFC fights back. My first Ruby run was with a Torchic and I was highly misinformed on literally all the Pokemon, so when the little chicken turned into this fighting KFC meal, I laughed so hard I though I popped a vein in my gut or something.

Flying - Ledian
It's cool, it's sleek, and it always reminded me of a motorcyclist. It's probably the big eyes. I also liked ladybugs a lot. I remember one spring where our house had a huge infestation of ladybugs. I didn't really mind and I thought it was cool since they only hung out on the ceiling and corners. So I caught a few and decided to watch them. Strangely, it was fun watching them crawl everywhere.

Poison - Nidoqueen
I once got a Nidoqueen card. It was one of the original ones and I remember I traded for it when my family and I were on vacation. The vacation for the beach and I remember the whole car ride back, all I did was stare at the card. It was holographic so that's got to count for something, right? And like I said, I was easily entertained as a kid.

Ground - Wooper
Just look at its FACE! That sardonically constipated smile!

Rock - Armaldo
I just realized I don't like Rock-types very much. I chose Armaldo out of process of elimination and also it made me realize Rock doesn't resist Rock.

Bug - Yanma
Well I just like dragonflies and Yanma looks cuter than that monstrosity that's Yanmega.

Ghost - Duskull
It's a miniature Grim Reaper mixed with a cyclops! It has one eye and it's like Casper the ghost!

Steel - Pawniard
For the sake of creativity, I'm keeping Pawniard here. I like its design. Its short height was well captivated as a nearly useless chess piece! Then again, I suck at chess so you can take my comment as a grain of salt.

Fire - Quilava
Probably my favorite Fire starter design. I've just adored it and the nostalgia wave kind of hits.

Water - Chinchou
A nice unique typing and a cute design. It's just been a favorite I guess.

Grass - Bellossom
Its hair is pretty darn cute and its grass skirt too. When I use one, it's like my team cheerleader.

Electric - Pichu
I about died when I saw the spiky-eared Pichu. Also, in my Emerald game, I bred two Pikachu like crazy. I pretty much had a Pichu factory going on, with all of them knowing Volt Tackle. I raised them up so I beat the Elite Four with a party of just Pichu. Good times...

Psychic - Medicham
It's just like yoga! Love it and its awesome ability. Yeah, its design is just awesome.

Ice - Sneasel
A nifty thief. I like it as equally as Weavile though, but I prefer Sneasel's design since Weavile's crown is ridiculous.

Dragon - Altaria
Love the clouds and its wings. I'm sounding so shallow just basing this all off of designs...

Dark - Krookodile
I think this is the first Unova Pokemon I warmed up to. It looked fitting and shined with cynicism, which a Dark-type should have. Its massive jaws and its sexy crimson red coloring is a nice addition. Its stats aren't bad either.

Bird - Missingo.
Well there aren't any options really. Oh Missingo., what fun you were.

January 1st, 2012, 11:39 PM
time to post my fave pokemon of each type! since I have not in my previous post

Normal - A Tie between Snorlax and Miltank
Sometimes, you like Pokemon because you are almost the same with them. And I am like Snorlax. Lazy and likes too sleep. A lot. good thing for him, he manages. He is also a real powerhouse when it comes to battling, until gen V where quick fighting types dominated the metagame.

Miltank because of my experiences with Whitney. Yes. Only that. Because of that, this little guy deserved my respect.

Fighting - A tie (O_O) between Infernape and Lucario

This thread is hard. :\ I like Infernape ever since I seen it. he resembles one of my favorite anime character. He has a high Attack AND Special Attack. He's quick and speedy and such. And I also love Ash's Infernape the most of his Pokemon. This is why.

Lucario. Who doesn't want Lucario? I remember the time when Lucario was revealed everybody wanted to be a Lucario. He's really cool for me. Aura reader, high attack, and effin Extremespeed!

Flying - Togekiss

9 words for all of you. IT IS SO FLUFFY I AM GOING TO DIE.

Poison - Crobat

This guy is practically the pokemonization of my childhood. Everyone of you may hate Zubats, but I like them. Because they practically evolve to this freaking monster! He's sleek, fast, decent Attack, GREAT DESIGN (whatever you people say), GREAT TYPING, and mist of all four wings! I REALLY LOVE CROBAT. HE IS THE GREATEST POKEMON FOR ME, AND I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU ALL SAY. #rant

Ground - A tie (another one) between Krookodile and Gliscor

This one is an easy tie, though. I like Krookodile mainly because of his color. and the fact that he had helped me A LOT in my second Black run.

Gliscor. Ah. I have always viewed him as the devil's spawn and consistently wonder why he is not of the dark-side. Look at his fangs. Look at that tail. look at his evil sneer. Look at those wings. He is a perfect Pokemon. Plus nice stats.

Rock - Gigalith

Not the biggest Rock-type fan here. but Gigalith is so awesome I cannot help it to like him. He has a nice design, though I cannot quite get it. LOL.

Bug - O my. This one is hard. Too many good choices, but I guess it is a tie between Heracross and Galvantula.

I have been an avid bug-type fun ever since, and singling one out is really hard. Heracross because he has a good personality! (remember Ash's?) he seems pretty funny, but when you know him better, he is a pretty good battler! OF course, I have always loved beetles.

Gotta love Galvantula too. Cool typing, great design, and not creepy unlike his brother Ariados.

Ghost - Gengar

Very mischievous, ingame, competitively, and IRPL. I like his shiny sprite!

Steel - Metagross

it is Megaman floating on its four legs. Too much for awesome.

Fire - no repetition allowed? then... Chandelure

The only fire type line with almost no touch of red. I love him being a ghost and such.

Water - Swampert, Samurott and Vaporeon

It is a triple tie! Water-types posses such variety that it is hard to choose just one.

Swampert is great because of this sprite. http://www.pokestadium.com/pokemon/sprites/handheld/blackwhite/animated/260.gif. Just kidding. He is a great battler, access to Waterfall and Ice Punch, and such. He is always my favorite Hoenn Pokemon, and aside from Metagross, Absol and Gardevoir, the only one I actually like.

Samurott is my most favorite starter of all time. He is a samurai. nuff said.

I have always been an Eeveelution fan, and Vaporeon is no exception. He is... fluid.

Grass - Leafeon

It looks like a Pixie! plus leaf blade is awesome.

Electric - Jolteon

Just like what I said before, I am an Eevelution fan. Jolteon is probably the quickest of all, and the first Pokemon I have ever actually fallen in love with.

Psychic - Espeon. Latios. Mewtwo. Gardevoir. Aarghh. Too many choices!

Awesome design and feel about Espeon. She is so... beautiful.

Latios. The more awesome of the Eon Duo. Yep. I like him.

My mot favorite legendary! Mewtwo is more than simply a clone. He is the coolest clone ever!

Gardevoir is the third Pokemon I have ever fallen in love with. honestly, who can't?

Ice - Froslass

Not a big fan of ice types, but hands down to Froslass for being a contender to gardevoir's beauty.

Dragon - Garchomp and Reshiram

Garchomp is like the most badass pokemon ever created. Land Sharks with blades plus the speed to match it? Check. Fangs, check. Rarity, check. yes.

reshiram. another legendary! Most favorite of all Unovan Legendary. Yep.

Dark - Umbreon and Absol

Umbreon is like the most awesome Eeveelution ever! He is so cool, and smug and really confident.

Absol is like Uchiha Sasuke. Nuff said.

January 9th, 2012, 7:09 AM
i saw him in the first movie and i found him cute

January 16th, 2012, 4:50 AM
Normal- Spinda: It just looks so innocent and cute.

Poison- Garbodor: I don't know. Garbodor is the first poison type I've ever trained seriously.

Steel- Skarmory: Skarmory won against Cynthia's Garchomp in B/W at lvl 57 granted I did use a lot of recovery items.

Rock- Gigalith- I like the design if nothing else.

Ground- Flygon: I love Flygon. She helped me beat Emerald when I chose Torchic. Besides, Trapinch was my first ground type.

Electric- Pikachu: Obvious reasons.

Fire- Ninetales: It's beautiful and elegant.

Water- Milotic: See Fire^

Grass- Roserade: It's deadly, but pretty too.

Dark- Absol: Really strong. Really cool.

Fighting- Blaziken: He was my first starter pokemon ever. Although we got stuck at the seventh gym in Hoenn, Flygon helped us out.

Psychic- Gardevoir: See Dark and Fire

Ghost- Drifloon: The Pokedex entry for it is funny.

Ice- Froslass: See Grass

Flying- Togekiss: See Fire

Bug- Masquerain: I find it interesting. Although I've never had one before, it still is my favorite.

Dragon- I'd like to say Flygon, but I'll go with Altaria instead.
Altaria struck me as annoying against Winona, but that was the first time I saw perish song. After that, I was curious and my curiosity turned to admiration.

There are others I'd like to mention, but I couldn't put them on the chart so here they are:
more but these are the main ones.

January 21st, 2012, 10:22 AM
Normal: Minccino. Anyone who knows me knows that as soon as I saw it, I was so obsessed over it. It was absolutely adorable.
Fire: Houndoom. I started liking Houndoom immediately after I saw Karen have it in Silver. I loved the design and how badass it looked.
Fighting: Lucario. I initially HAAAATED Lucario. I thought it was overrated and I didn't like the design or the concept of it or anything. I hated the name, I hated everything about it. Then I decided I would play through SoulSilver using all of Cynthia's Pokémon. Lucario was one of my favorites at the end of the run through and I appreciated it much more.
Water: Kingdra. Kingdra replaced Alakazam as my favorite Pokémon after I battled Clair. I thought it was amazing and the best Pokémon ever, and it's my favorite Gen II Pokémon.
Flying: Farfetch'd. I just love it's name and like making puns from it's name with people. Farfetch'd...
Grass: Tropius. It has bananas for earrings.
Poison: Swalot. I just find it so amusing to look at. It just opens it's mouth and swallows things. nom nom nom!
Electric: Luxray. It's my favorite because I just think it looks the best.
Ground: Sandshrew. I always found him adorable.
Psychic: Reuniclus. Reuniclus replaced Minccino as my favorite Generation V Pokémon when pictures of it surfaced. I became obsessed over it and registered it everywhere. It's my favorite Pokémon from Gen V and outranks Alakazam (my favorite Pokémon in Gen I).
Rock: Lunatone. I just like the fact that it's a moon that floats.
Ice: Jynx. I always thought Jynx looked like a hooker with really big boobs.
Bug: Scyther. It's the only Pokémon I like that's a bug. I don't know why.
Dragon: Dragonair. It's SO majestic. It was the first Pokémon I drew and I still have the drawing. It's very amazing.
Ghost: Chandelure. It's beautiful, simply put.
Dark: Scrafty. I don't know what it is about Scrafty's gangster moxie appearance that makes me love it so much.
Steel: Steelix. I saw Steelix as an amazing Pokémon after I underestimated it when I was fighting Jasmine.

Mr Cat Dog
January 21st, 2012, 10:27 AM
Bug: Heracross (closely followed by Volcarona, but Heracross has been in every team since Gen II)
Dark: Houndoom (one of my faves in general)
Dragon: Kingdra (again, no contest: one of my faves in general)
Electric: Magnezone (actually quite a hard one: Maggie is one of my faves, but looking at the list, I have a soft spot for Lanturn and Eelektross)
Fighting: Heracross again (if I have to have a different one, it'd probably be Gallade for its awesome typing and design)
Fire: Chandelure (Houndoom and Volcarona are fighting it out for second place)
Flying: Aerodactyl (probs my favourite critter ever, so of course it's getting in here!)
Ghost: Chandelure again (no contest... maybe Gengar, but... nope)
Grass: Cradily (I don't know why I like this fugly critter; just do. Don't really like any other Grass Pokemon for whatever reason)
Ground: Excadrill (surprisingly hard to pick a fave for; Excadrill only because it's proven very useful in-game)
Ice: Lapras (had one in virtually every game; hard to get every Friday down in Union Cave)
Normal: Girafarig (mainly because of how un-Normal it is)
Poison: Crobat (I guess...? Maybe Gengar again, but I never have Poison critters in a team, for some reason)
Psychic: Espeon (my favourite Eeveelution by a mile, also)
Rock: Aerodactyl again (fave. critter. ever. See above. If not that or Cradily, then Tyranitar but that's just bleh)
Steel: Magnezone again (if not that, then Metagross)
Water: Milotic (wish I could do a three-way-tie with Kingdra and Lapras (and maybe Lanturn) but one it is)

That was fun!

February 14th, 2012, 6:28 AM
I really like Dragon Types although i think they are a tad overpowered....

My favorite is either Salamence or Hydreigon because of their pure strength :P

I enjoy using Dragon types and i'd like to know what Dragons other people use so i can try them out :D

February 14th, 2012, 6:50 AM
Didn't I already explain this to you...? You really need to start paying attention to where you post things. Look in Pokemon General. There's a subforum called Pokemon Voting Polls for threads that ask "what's your favorite _____" such as this, and that is where it shall go. I shouldn't have to tell you again.

My favorite Pokemon? Well, I have two, actually. It's these guys.
At first, it was their looks that drew me in--they look very robotic and well, I absolute adore robots. But when I began to work with them, I fell head over heels simply because of their power. They're heavy hitters and got me more wins than any other Pokemon I've ever trained. Leveling them up was a breeze, they have a useful Ability (Iron Fist) and they have some great resistances. On top of that, my Golurk was the first Pokemon I actually EV trained to level 100; all that time we spent together and I just fell for him. These two are my favorites and they always will be--to me, they are power and grace combined. Love 'em both like you wouldn't believe.

Normal: Ursaring- Well first off, I think it's really cool and I love Teddiursa as well. Also, it is a pretty powerful pokemon.
Fighting: Hitmontop- I really started to like this pokemon after Pokemon Coloseum. I caught it and pured it and I realized how strong it is. It has amazing defense and hp.
Grass: Grovyle- To me this pokemon looks absolutely awesome. Way better than Sceptile. And he is incredibly fast.
Poison: Nidoking- This pokemon has been the pokemon I've always loved. He was my first ever 3rd evolved form pokemon and he's stuck with me ever since. <3
Bug: Scyther- Scyther is just a really cool pokemon. Also, when I was a kid I played some picture game called pokemon snap! Where you took pictures of pokemon, and he was always a challenge to take a picture of.
Fire: Arcanine- Arcanine was always a beast looking pokemon to me, and he was my first ex card. Arcanine ex was an amazing pokemon.
Water: Milotic- I honestly don't know why I like Milotic so much. I guess because it is a challenge to get in R/S and it's a very graceful pokemon.
Dragon: Dragonite- My all time favorite Pokemon! First off, it's hard to evolve him from a Dratini. It takes soo much time and effort. But, when you finally get Dragonite he looks amazing and is really powerful.
Electric: Jolteon- The main reason I like Jolteon is just because of his battle cry. That like jolt-jolt-JOLTEON! Just sounds so cool to me.
Dark: Tyranitar- I put Tyranitar into dark because I had a good one for ground and he is classified as dark. Anyways, I started really liking him in XD when I evolved that larvitar up to him and he did amazing!
Ghost: Haunter- I really only like him for his looks. He looks better than Gengar to me. Oh, and I liked how he messed with Ash back in the series.
Psychic: Gardevior- The only reason I like Gardevior so much is because it carried me through R/S. It was a really strong pokemon, especially with psychic.
Rock: Aerodactyl- I just like it for it's looks. I know I had it, but I don't remember if it's good or not.
Ground: Flygon- Leveled it up to 100 on Ruby. He was my pride and joy. All around amazing pokemon.
Ice: Glalie- I always thought Glalie looked cool, and I won all the pokemon contests with it. That's why I love it (:.
Steel: Metagross- When I first saw it, I thought it was an awesome pokemon. And it pretty much whiped me out all by itself. So, I trained really hard to get one myself. Got a lot of respect for this pokemon.
Flying: Altaria- I've always loved this pokemon mostly because of Swablu. It's such a cute pokemon (:. Also, Altaria gave me a good math in the elite 4 I think?
Legendary: Shaymin- Shaymin is my favorite legendary. It looks so cute and innocent, but it's really a BAMF!

My all time favorite Pokemon is Jellicent. I love both of the designs for both genders, but the female stole the thunder, for me. The massive amount of HP, the great Special defense, I love it. Plus they look like royalty with their little crowns. idk how I even got to fall in love with it. I honestly used to HATE the female's design. I thought it looked so stupid. But one of my friends from another site and I used to use it as an insult. "Omg ur so ugly like a female Jellicent", and after that, I began to like it as a joke, and then I genuinely fell in love with it. My love for Jellicent also made me fall in love with every other pink Pokemon in the game. Legit. Now I'm in love with pink. Anyway.

List of favorite Pokemon of each type:

Normal: Happiny. Oh God, so cute, so little, cute cry, and the anime Happiny on Brock's team sold it. Strength + super adorable baby Pokemon = uber kawaii desu. (...ew)

Fire: Simisear. Talk about a playah. Got that face that says, "I'm so pretty", the hands that say, "Kiss my rings", and that little fur shaped like a bolero for extra fancy. Yes indeed.

Fighting: Mienshao. Mr. Miyagi meets Pokemon. Regenerator, Hi Jump Kick, Drain Punch, Swords Dance, U-turn, etc. Awesome. Just awesome.

Water: Gyarados. Gyarados used to be my favorite Pokemon of all time until just recently. It's still up there, JUST below Jellicent. Ferocious, pretty, and epic.

Flying: Archeops. Talk about beast mode. Grandad to all bird Pokemon, and it can still kick their butts with two wings tied behind it's back (especially since it runs better than it flies).

Grass: Whimsicott. So overly cute, and it's Prankster ability makes it even more adorable and trollable. It has awesome moves to abuse Prankster, and is cute enough to abuse my heart. <3

Poison: Trubbish. Look at those buck teeth. Adorable. :B

Electric: Eelektross. He's such a bro. Is he a dragon? Is he an eel? Is he a snake? He doesn't care. Hide yo kids, hide yo wife, cuz he's owning errybody up in here.

Ground: Hrmm. Torterra. Being an island with feet is pretty awesome. Need some shade? Lay on top of a Torterra.

Psychic: Munna. Look at all those flowers and stuff. It's so cute. Always so happy to see people sleepy so it can chew up their dreams.

Rock: NOSEPASS. ;A; He's so gosh darn cute. Always hold his head, point towards the north so I never get lost. Thank you Nosepass. <3

Ice: Vannilish. It's such a cute single scoop Pokemon. <3 It's little icicle hands waving at me all the time and it's happy, happy smile. <3

Bug: Volcarona. That fur, is just so amazing. <3 Its typing I love, its design I love, its existence makes me happy. I love it. <3

Dragon: Palkia. I never understood how it looks like something that's rated PG-13. Like, at all. I think it's pretty, it's beastly, it can Focus Punch your granny like a bro, and IT CONTROLS SPACE. LIKE, DANG.

Ghost: Mismagius. Talk about a pretty Pokemon. Plus it's being all fancy with its little sun hat for a garden party. <3

Dark: Weavile. Weavile is so sneaky, it's ridiculous. He's the trolling ninja of the Pokemon world.

Steel: Metagross. Such a bro, such a playah, and so cute. <3 Yes, cute. CUTE. Plus, it's smarter than a supercomputer. WHAT UP NOW?

Please keep the following in mind when reading through my list:

- Not all of my decisions are based on the same factor
- I haven't used all of these Pokémon in battle
- Not all of these are facts, some are opinions
- Some Pokémon don't have as many points as others — I just simply like them
- There are many points I left out, the ones listed are just the most important

- The episode when Ash's Charizard took on Blaine's Magmar (again, not joking)

- It has a hat
- It looks somewhat friendly despite being a dark type
- Can use just about any dark type move to get the job done

March 5th, 2012, 10:14 AM

TwiDragon.. Where have I heard that before? Dunno. Anyway, I have always loved Dragonite! I love dragons, type and just the entire concept. I mean, it can fly, looks awesome, very strong, and overall amazing.

March 5th, 2012, 4:25 PM
My overall favorite would have to be Haunter/Gengar

I love ghost types and tehy're my favorites, specially becasue I tend to use them a lot of the games
But since I can't trade, I tend to use Haunter more ...

March 6th, 2012, 4:38 PM

March 6th, 2012, 7:37 PM

http://media.pldh.net/pokemon/gen5/blackwhite_animated_front/506.gif C'mon, do I really need to explain dis one?

http://media.pldh.net/pokemon/gen5/blackwhite_animated_front/165.gif I just love the patterns on it back...Plus they're cute.

http://media.pldh.net/pokemon/gen5/blackwhite_animated_front/334.gif Cottony fluffy birdy...It's probably not the strongest of Dragon, but I still gotz da major heart for this.

http://media.pldh.net/pokemon/gen5/blackwhite_animated_front/471.gif Mostly, because it an eevee...But also, I like da noise it make on the Pokemon game.

http://media.pldh.net/pokemon/gen5/blackwhite_animated_front/222.gifI'm dead ass serious about this one. I like Corsela...I trained one on R/S/E game...Tho, it wasn't very strong...I still liked her. :p

http://media.pldh.net/pokemon/gen5/blackwhite_animated_front/547.gifAnd last, but not least...One of my fave Pokemon are...Whimsicott. Look at how puff on it back moves when it jump. LOL

March 18th, 2012, 1:56 PM
Umbreon. Umbreon has been my favorite Pokemon ever since I played Crystal and I could never figure out how to get one. I was 8 at the time and Crystal had just came out.

April 7th, 2012, 8:11 AM
my all time favorite would have to be Salamence.
It is very powerful, and its pre evolved form bagon is so cute!
Bagon has dreamt of flying since it was a little egg.
Now as Salamence it DOES fly. :D

- Respectively Fire, Water & Grass : Charizard, Blastoise & Venusaur (I am & will always be a starters man :D)

- Normal: Tauros (I was just thoroughly amazed with this bovine the moment I saw Ash's Tauros stampede & shake the arena initiating its Fissure during the Orange League championship, I was literally in awe :O)

- Flying: Pidgeot (many reasons: gentle & loyal nature; the 'pigeon' prefix, given that I took up the hobby of raising thoroughbred pigeons from middle to high school = some of my most cherished memories ; also, to me, he's always been like the only natural-looking bird in the Pokemon world; & last but not least, & to my 1st to 3rd gen-limited knowledge, the only bird I know with 2 evolutions)

- Bug: Butterfree (the accuracy of its 3 powder attacks mixed with psychic abilities = win)

- Fighting: Primeape (unlike the other humanoid fighters this one's the incarnation of a natural-born champ that battles by its own rules)

- Electric: Jolteon (I like Raichu but I prefer an electrical dog a whole lot more :D)

- Ground: Dugtrio (uni-type with beyond devastating Ground attacks, enough said)

- Poison: Crobat (probably the dirtiest poisonous fighter with a lot of tricks under its sleeve: poisoning, confusing, scaring, trapping the enemy...; also I'm very fond of its magnificent speed & the rest of his relatively blanced stats)

- Psychic: Alakazam (aside from its light speed stats & destructive special attacks, his mystic looks & twisted spoons simply perfect the Psychic type persona)

- Rock: Aerodactyl (not only do I love prehistoric creatures but I also find the link between fossilized DNA-born pokes & rocky nature a pretty elegant idea; also pterodactyls were my favourite dinosaurs as a child)

- Ice: Lapras (pretty tough; in Yellow, the only one in Lorelei's team that always survived my Pikachu's 1st strike of Thunder; not to mention the perfect swimmer)

- Dragon: Dragonite (it can fly, masters fire/ice/water/electric moves, plus has the deceiving gentle looks that cover its fierce nature; only Dragon type I've ever liked)

- Ghost: Gengar (the pranky attitude, devilish red eyes, ; also I somehow find all extra-Kanto Ghost pokes pretty lame compared to the original Gastly/Haunter/Gengar trio, design & persona-wise)

- Dark: Houndoom (partly Fire which is my favourite type of all; also the one thing I love more than dogs are hellhounds :D)

- Steel: Scizor (the ninja aspect, combined with its dual-type making it resistant/neutral to most types)

May 9th, 2012, 5:09 AM
I'm not going to have legendaries in mine cause I like a lot lol :)

Normal - Azurill (probably the only baby pokémon I have a slight obsession with lol)
Fire - Ninetales (favourite pokémon of all time)
Water - Vaporeon (has been since I saw it in Pokémon Stadium)
Grass - Sceptile (two words: LEAF BLADE!! haha)
Electric - Manectric (like Swellow, Emerald opened my eyes to it)
Bug - Venomoth (one of my best ever pokémon plus it's a moth!!)
Fighting - Hitmonlee (kicks are my favourite attacks in real life; Hitmonlee reflects that)
Ice - Dewgong (very sleek and elegant, lot of good moves as well)
Flying - Swellow (since using it on Emerald I quickly discovered how awesome it is)
Dark - Umbreon (been really attached to it since Silver)
Psychic - Kadabra (been a staple part for a lot of my teams)
Ghost - Haunter (like Kadabra and Dragonair, I just prefer 2nd stage evos, plus its personality is great haha)
Poison - Arbok (I LOVE snakes, and it represents a cobra - heaven)
Rock - Kabutops (always been drawn to it, maybe it's the Scyther-like design lol)
Ground - Nidoqueen (Girl power haha plus I love the Nido family)
Steel - Skarmory (always thought it was pretty cool, plus Winona has one lol)
Dragon - Dragonair (elegant yet powerful)

May 9th, 2012, 6:19 AM
My overall favorite changes from time to time, and I hate it. -.- But right now, it's Glameow. I like its slight resemblance to the Russian Blue, which is my favorite cat breed; it has a somewhat bluish-gray coat and what-looks-like-an-RB-smile to me. Of all the cat Pokemon, Glameow is the one that I adored the longest (not that I admired all feline Pokes, though). It's simply adorable as well as cute. <3

As for each type that I have a favorite of, well, here's my list:

Normal: As stated above, it's Glameow. Reason's there as well. Next to it is Eevee because I find it adorable.
Fire: Hmm... I'd say Flareon. It's an Eeveelution, it's fluffy, and I just like it.
Ice: Glaceon. Yes, another Eeveelution, but what can I say? I'm a fan. :3 This Ice-type is beautiful.
Grass: Leafeon. It's really the sole Grass-type that I took notice of before Lilligant came along. Oh wait, I also like Roserade. Hooray for flowers! :3
Water: Nope, not Vaporeon; rather, it's... well, I actually don't know, but I like Dewott/Samurott better 'cause among the evolution of the Water-type starters, they're the ones that appealed to me. They're cool~
Electric: I dunno if it's Jolteon or Luxray/Luxio. Jolteon because it's cool and the more dog-like among its family. Luxray/Luxio for the reason that I'm simply fond of them.
Dark: This isn't going to be surprising; it's Umbreon. It's kinda sinister but in a cool way. I think black became my favorite color because of this guy. xD
Ghost: I think it's Chandelure: it's part Fire! :3
Psychic: Espeon~ Another kitty and Eeveelution; it's also pretty.
Dragon: Reshiram. I never really bothered with the Legends or Dragon-types, but this one caught my interest because it's part Fire and I like its design. :3
Bug: Butterfree or Beautifly. I like butterflies. :)
Fighting: Riolu/Lucario or Mienshao. The former duo due to them being cute and cool, respectively, and they're like dogs. The latter... well, it reminds me of Meiling from Cardcaptor Sakura for a reason that I do not know. :o
Flying: Staraptor. It looks awesome and like it owns the other birds... except Braviary, which I also like because it's cool. :D

May 9th, 2012, 6:41 AM
Bug - Butterfree, they look absolutely adorable and the butterfree from a Petty Nuzlocke challenge really got portrayed with a grand and enjoyable character.
Dark - Umbreon, of the eeveelutions, Umbreon's my favourite, as well as my all-round favourite dark-type.
Dragon - Flygon, They manage cool and adorable just fine. Especially their red eye-shields make their designs likeable.
Electric - Ampharos, cute...as...hell, and my favourite of gen II.
Fighting - Lucario, stumbled upon him on accident one day, loved the design so much that he preluded my comeback to the pokémon fandom after I lost it just around the start of the third gen, also my favourite of gen IV.
Fire - Cyndaquil, always picked that one as my starter for silver. They look very adorable, and their usually timid character makes that only better.
Flying - Lugia, because even legendaries can be so cute they make your head explode.
Ghost - Gengar, It's the cheeky grin it always has that gets me the most I think.
Grass - Being the kangaroo-lover I usually am, there's no way I can resist a 'rooshroom like Breloom. Breloom's also my favourite gen III pokémon, and perhaps my all-round favourite pokémon as well, but that is very much debatable.
Ground - Sandshrew, much like most of the others here. Too adorable not to mention.
Ice - Delibird, santa penguin, lovely.
Normal - Kangaskhan, no explanation necessary for this, if yes, see Breloom. Along with Slowbro, my favourite for gen I.
Poison - Croagunk, so much cooler than Toxicroak.
Psychic - Wobbufet, most hilarious character on team rocket's side, bar Meowth.
Rock - Rhydon, awesome pokémon. May not really have much with rock-types, but I still like its design.
Steel - Skarmory, Always has been a must-have for my team. Just amazing in combat, and a cool design.
Water - Slowbro, already having been mentioned, is one of my favourite pokémon from gen I.

May 16th, 2012, 2:42 PM
Okay, here we go...

Bug - Butterfree. Never really used it until HeartGold, but now it's the main Pokemon on my team.
Dark - Umbreon. It's always been my favorite Eeveelution, and is also probably in my top-5 favorite of all time.
Dragon - Rayquaza. I never really use the Dragon type, but Rayquaza is my favorite legendary, so this was a no brainer.
Electric - Magnezone. Another type I rarely use, but I love the Electric/Steel typing of Magnezone.
Fighting - Heracross. Not neccessarily considered for being a Fighting-type (but rather Bug), but since Butterfree is my favorite bug type, I had to put Heracross here.
Fire - Ninetales. Vulpix almost always showed up exclusively in the paired version I didn't have, but once I got one in Sapphire, it became a mainstay on my team.
Flying - Pidgeot. The main Pokemon on my Fire Red for the longest time, the Pidgeot family has always been my favorite of the early game birds.
Ghost - Froslass. One of the few Pokemon I loved before I even used it, as I really liked the design and Ice/Ghost typing.
Grass - Breloom. The first Shiny that I ever caught, so it holds a special place in my heart.
Ground - Gliscor. It recently worked it's way into my favorites, after never really using Gligar in the past. Now it's one of the staples on my team.
Ice - Glalie. Rather than Froslass taking up both the Ice and Ghost spots, I put it's counterpart Glalie here. Also the first Lv. 100 Pokemon I ever had traded to me.
Normal - Blissey. Having a high HP tank with Softboiled and Toxic has always been one of my favorite strategies.
Poison - Gengar. Also my second favorite Ghost Pokemon, and I always try to have one in my party at one point or another.
Psychic - Unown. My favorite Pokemon that I will never use (for obvious reasons).
Rock - Aggron. This was going to be my choice for Steel, but then I realized I don't really like any other Rock Pokemon.
Steel - Empoleon. I never seem to remember that Empoleon is part Steel type, but it's one of the few starters I've kept on my team throughout my journey.
Water - Starmie. Another Pokemon I like for it's interesting typing (which is only seen in one other line). Always loved that it could learn Thunder/Thunderbolt.

May 22nd, 2012, 12:51 PM
Bug: Volcarona? I dunno
Dark: Mightyena Puppppy~ I love that cute little collie face.
Dragon: Axew omg so much win
Electric: Pichu Just. Pichu. Shut up I'm not weird
Fighting: Lucario I hate most fighting types so it's pretty much the only one I can stand.
Fire: Cyndaquil Again, just because it's cute <3
Normal: Pidove It's evos are fugly but this one is cute.
Ghost: Gengar Just something about it...
Ground: Swampert I dunno all of the others suck
Ice: Lapras I can't think of one right now.
Flying: Chatot Cute and fun to watch ^^. It can speak so that's another bonus.
Poison: Crobat Something about it too...
Psychic: Mime Jr. I know one that I like but can't think of it so I'm gonna go with one that I like.
Rock: Omanyte He's good enough.
Steel: Metagross Because all 'dem are fugly and Lucario is already taken.
Water: Oshawott Oh yesssss cute win win omg omg

May 23rd, 2012, 7:54 AM
Oh boy, I was never asked a question like this.

Normal: Zangoose--By far the coolest looking Normal type pokemon out there (with a rivalry)
Bug: Volcarona--The first Fire/Bug combo out there.
Fighting: Hariyama--The pokemon looks like a sumo wrestler.
Flying: Braviary--Will be by far the most awesome flying type (it looks like an eagle, how cool is that)
Poison: Drapion--A Poison/Dark type that can take down psychic types.
Water: Ludicolo--Love the way it dances :D
Fire: Infernape--gotta love the fire monkey
Grass: Shiftry--I really like the design on this one
Rock: Lunatone--I like the way it looks like a moon
Steel: Aggron--awesome defenses and cool cry
Ground: Garchomp--one of the fastest pseudo-legendary pokemon (i think)
Dragon: Hydreigon--has an excellent sp. attack
Electric: Eleketross--the only Electric type that has levitate
Psychic: I don't have a favorite psychic
Ice: Spheal--it's so cute
Ghost: Dusknoir--its the pokemon grim reaper (now thats scary)
Dark: Honchkrow--love the gangster theme for it

Easily Pidgeot. BEST POKEMON EVER.

June 2nd, 2012, 5:19 PM
Absol. He's freaking awesome and lives up to be about 100. And the scythe-like tail looks cool, also he's dark type.
Plus unlike most pokémon that are based on rats etc, he's based on Bai Ze of Chinese mythology or something like that.
Anyway ya, Absol is my ultimate favourite...

June 4th, 2012, 9:51 AM
Seadra, had a plushie when I was small. He's gone now.

June 17th, 2012, 7:04 AM
Squirtle and his whole evolution series just because that was the first pokemon I ever got in the games and I spent a lot of time into training and such.

Lt. Col. Fantastic
June 24th, 2012, 2:47 PM

June 30th, 2012, 11:15 AM
Bug: Combee; love the design, and I just think it's adorable!

I have a lot of choices but I can't choose one. I really like dragonite but idk.

June 30th, 2012, 4:02 PM
Hey I'm gonna merge this in with the Favorite Pokemon thread, since it's really "what's your favorite Pokemon" with a very small rule change. :)

July 4th, 2012, 11:37 PM
There's a lot of Pokemon I love, but I've always held Raichu near and dear to my heart. I think it's an awesome looking Pokemon and it's not bad in battle, either. :D

July 5th, 2012, 3:03 PM
Dialga is my favorite Pokemon of all TIME. It can control time and has a great look while it works as a barrel for my team. My favorite non-ledgendary would have to be Lucario. It looks great and has a huge move pool including Aura Sphere.

July 7th, 2012, 4:54 AM

oh man lugia ws my first legendary i fell in love with it and it looks so cool in the B/W version

July 15th, 2012, 5:46 PM
My favorite Pokemon is Garatinas. He is so lonely, it is hard not to feel sad for him. I really like using him as my team leader. He cant be beat!

July 15th, 2012, 10:05 PM
Porygon, a true sleeper.
Blizzard + Thunder + Recovery + Substitute
Beaten a few surprised mew-two players in my day. ;)

It's always a questionable struggle whether it will win or lose, but it hits hard in offense & overwhelms in defense.

July 21st, 2012, 10:19 AM
Bug: Armaldo, mainly because it is it also my favourite fossil pokemon as well.
Dark: Umbreon, which is my favourite eeveelution.
Dragon: Hydreigon, one of my favourite pokemon altogether.
Electric: Pikachu, I have always liked Pikachu ever since Pokemon Yellow
Fighting: Heracross, I have always liked Heracross because of its unusual type mixture (Bug/Fighting).
Fire: Charizard, another of my all time favourites.
Flying: Pigeot, i've always had a soft spot for Pigeot.
Ghost: Duscolps, has always been my favourite ghost type although i never usually use ghost types...

July 27th, 2012, 10:58 AM

July 27th, 2012, 11:07 AM
Bug: scizor
Dark: absol
Dragon: flygon

July 28th, 2012, 1:16 PM
Normal: Skitty/Delcatty. Love them both equally.
Bug: Either Scyther or Yanma. Scyther has a great design, but I liked using my Yanma in Colosseum
Fighting: Virizion, very closely followed by Mienshao and Breloom. Love all their designs. A dainty grass antelope? You bet. Weasel thing with long arm fur? Pretty neat. Dinosaur/mushroom? Heck yes.
Flying: There are A LOT of these I like, but I'll go with Mandibuzz. It's ugly in a sick, awesome kind of way.
Poison: Tie between Nidoking and Nidoqueen. Incredible design.
Water: Kabutops looks sick. For pure a Water Type then Suicune.
Fire: Either Entei or Flareon, tough choice. A Chinese guardian lion or a puffy fire catfox thing... that's tough...
Grass: So many I love... I can't even... let's go with Meganium, Sawsbuck, Tropius, Hoppip, Serperior, Leafeon, and Whimsicott. Indecisive, I know...
Rock: Tyranitar, closely followed by Golem.
Steel: Aggron with Skarmory coming close.
Ground: Flygon, even though it should be a Bug IMO
Electric: Manectric, extremely closely followed by Luxray. I also like Zebstrika and *gasp* ZEKROM
Psychic: Espeon, coming close is the lovely Girafarig.
Ice: Sneasel and Articuno.
Ghost: Giratina.
Dark: Absol. DAT DESIGN

Yeah, so as you can see I have trouble picking just one favorite lololol

July 30th, 2012, 12:25 PM
Linoone is my fave! It wasn't always my fave, and I'm still not sure what I love so much about it. I personally don't like running, but I feel like linoone is more gracefull than me when it runs. I also love it's weasel-like shape, cause weasels are one of my favorite animals. I think one of my favorite visual traits of linoone is it's crystal-blue eyes that remind me of my eyes. My second fave is Furret because it's so cute and I like ferrets.

August 13th, 2012, 9:23 AM
My favorite pokemon is charizard

August 13th, 2012, 10:30 AM
In my specialty type, it's definitely Flygon. Its ground/dragon pairing eliminates its water-type weakness. The only downside is the double weakness to ice.

Outside of my specialty, it's definitely Lucario. Just really freaking great.

August 13th, 2012, 11:45 AM
Raioku, Just because it looks, so nice. And for some reason my favorite type is Electric.

August 14th, 2012, 11:26 AM
id say charmander. that was my 1st fav pokemon. its so cute but so firey (well you get me lol)

August 15th, 2012, 2:56 PM
Water: Vaporeon. He's amazing.
Grass: Venusaur. I originally picked him and fell in love with him.
Fire: This one is hard. I'm gonna say Ninetales, because I never see him being used and I personally love Ninetales.

Dark: Scrafty, like I listed above
Psychic: Alakazam because he's a beast.

Steel: Lucario because he is awesome.
Bug: Kricketune, he has a moustache.
Poison: Toxicroak, he's a frog.
Dragon: Dragonite, he's amazing.
Flying: Also Dragonite.
Ground: Quagsire, I recently used him in my run of Pokemon Gold and he was amazing.

Rainbow Arcanine
August 18th, 2012, 10:39 PM
My favourite Pokemon of all time is Arcanine, because its a cross between a tiger and a canine which I personally find awesome. It has also been a great help in my Pokemon adventures, without it I couldn't of completed the game.

Another of my favourites is Reniculus. Who doesn't love a cute Pokemon that is made up of green blobs?

Aerodactyl for my favourite fossil Pokemon. It just looks badass also it's an amazing fighter. For legendary I'd say Mew probably but Latios is pretty close as well. Mew is adorable and powerful too in the first movie

Fire Flyy
August 18th, 2012, 11:00 PM
Grass: Bayleef | Cool design and I really liked it in the anime, it was really just dependable and I loved watching it battle as a kid
Fire: Charizard | The OG of Pokemon, my original favorite when I was a kid.
Water: Wooper | It's cute, but I like a lot of water types.
Flying: Staraptor | Best regional bird, sick that it can learn Close Combat.
Normal: Munchlax | Just like its design, it's really rare too.
Fighting: Hitmontop | It's cool, there are a lot of cool fighters though.
Psychic: Latios | Cool design, but there are a lot of good Psychic types.
Dragon: Garchomp | It owns, best dragon.
Ground: Torterra | One of the coolest starter evos.
Ice: Walrein | Cool design
Bug: Scizor | Really cool design, easily the best bug type .-.
Steel: Forretress / Heatran | Can't decide but they both own lol.
Rock: Shuckle | Neat design, should get an evo ^^
Electric: Ampharos | I love its design, simplistic and cool.
Poison: Roserade | Great design
Dark: Tyranitar | Swagger.
Ghost: Banette | I hope it gets an evo since it's so cool :)

August 18th, 2012, 11:09 PM
Grass: Meganium - It has a cool design, and is really strong. I think it's the best Johto starter!
Electric: Raikou/Jolteon - I just love feline & canine-based Pokemon, so I couldn't decide between these two, they're both awesome!
Water: Samurott - Before the 5th generation, Starmie was my favorite water Pokemon, but Samurott is just so great! It's a samurai!
Ice: Glalie - I think this is the favorite ice Pokemon for most people. I don't know what exactly, but something about Glalie is awesome.
Fire: Arcanine - As I said above, I love all canine-based Pokemon, and Arcanine is one of the best!
Bug: Scyther - I like Scyther more that Scizor. The razor-sharp blades on its arms make him an amazingly design Pokemon IMO.
Psychic: Mewtwo - Probably my favorite Pokemon.
Ghost: Gengar - The funniest and coolest Pokemon ever xD What's there not to love about Gengar?
Dark: Zoroark - I just love its design! And after watching the "Master of Illusion", I just couldn't help but love Zoroark more, how it bravely fought for her Zorua...
Ground: Golurk - It's a giant, and its a Ghost! Golurk's awesome.
Rock: Probopass - That stache! What else to say xD
Flying: Braviary - The awesomest (I know it's not a real word xD ) flying Pokemon ever!
Steel: Bronzor - Bronzor's funny. The screws under its eyes combined with the circle looked like a funny smile the first time I saw it, so I remember it like that. So every time Bronzor appears, it looks like it's smiling, so it's funny xD
Poison: Nidoking - The KING of all Poison Pokemon!
Fighting: Lucario - I know it's weaker than people make it look like, but I love its design.
Dragon: Dragonite - I never had a team in any game without a Dragonite. I just love it.

August 19th, 2012, 12:58 AM
Froslass! my favorite two types ice and ghost. and i love the design

August 30th, 2012, 6:29 AM

September 6th, 2012, 7:50 AM
Well I haven't been playing very long, but if I had to choose 1 pokemon that is my favorite, I'd have to choose Venusaur!

This may sound kind of cheesy but I can't help but love my very first Pokemon (even though that's bulbasaur)! It's been with me through the whole game and has never let me down in a battle <3 I heard his type set-up isn't too bad (Grass/Poison). My Venusaur and I have taken down every gym leader with just the two of us. I trained other Pokemon but for Gym Leader battles I try to just you Venusaur and we show all those pesky gym leaders whose boss! =3

September 6th, 2012, 6:06 PM
My favorite Pokemon of all-time would have to be Reshiram. Itreminds me of the Blue-Eyes White Dragon my very first ultra-rareYugioh card as well as being one of my all time favorite monsters touse in a duel to this very day. On top of that thanks to ReshiramI've been inspired to make a competitive Blue-Eyes White Dragon deck.

Rainbow Arcanine
September 8th, 2012, 12:41 AM
Most of us have a Pokemon we simply adore above all others. Some of us favour powerful Pokemon with a fierce look. Others love beautiful, elegant Pokemon that really know how to charm. There are speedy Pokemon, ones with awesome designs and some so cute you really want to just hug them :D.

Pokemon are amazing, they are friends for life, strong battlers and creatures that make you smile. Who is your favourite of all 649 monsters? Why do you like that particular Pokemon, what made you interested in it?

My favourite has been Arcanine ever since I laid my eyes on it. It is a cross between a lion and tiger and in my opinon has an amazing design. Its stats are great too with high speed and attack.

Discuss your favourite Pokemon here and learn about what others love.
I'm not sure if this thread has already been started somewhere in the Community, since this is a common topic.

Also feel free to correct me if this is in the wrong section :P.

September 9th, 2012, 3:53 AM
Umbreon still remains my fav. pokemon even after such a long time.
Personally, according to me,it is d best eveelution to have been created.
It has d highest special defense of all dark types and overall it is quite a good pokemon.
Also, due to its close association with night and moon,it still retains a special place in my heart.

October 13th, 2012, 11:32 AM
Grass: Sewaddle l It’s just so cute.
Fire: Torkoal | I love the idea behind having a defensive fire-type, even if it doesn’t work in practice.
Water: Corsola | Unbelievably adorable.
Flying: Skarmory |One of the only flying-types that I like, most likely due to its steel-typing.
Normal: Snorlax |Incredibly useful to me whenever I use it.
Fighting: Hitmontop |I love its design and it has a great ability
Psychic: Wobuffet |Totally unique Pokemon which is incredibly fun to use.
Dragon: Altaria |Really pretty design. I went back to catch a Swablu the first time I saw one.
Ground: Stunfisk |Unique typing, odd stats for a ground-type, and pretty nice design.
Ice: Cryogonal | Really interesting stat distribution, fun to use.
Bug: Forretress |I really like its design, and I’ve always had an affinity with defensive bugs.
Steel: Empoleon |Great Pokemon; found it really useful in Pearl.
Rock: Rhyperior |I don’t know why, I just think it’s cool.
Electric: Manectric |I love it’s typing and design, plus it has some nice stats.
Poison: Swalot |I found it so useful in Emerald that I’ve loved it ever since.
Dark: Umbreon | Good design, good typing, good stats.
Ghost: Cofagrigus| Mummy is an awesome ability, and Cofagrigus itself isn’t too shabby a Pokemon.

October 14th, 2012, 9:59 PM
Pinsir. Because it has great stats and I think the sprite is awesome.

October 16th, 2012, 10:32 PM
What is your favorite fully evolved fire Pokemon?

October 17th, 2012, 9:23 AM
You forgot about Simisear, Chandelure and Volcarona. xD

Anyway, I voted Infernape; it's strong and fast at once, and it has a good movepool. Fire monkeys are cool too.

Choice Specs
October 17th, 2012, 9:32 AM
I voted for Blaziken. It is one of the best Pokemon yet. I use one all of the time, and its fighting type is also a plus.

October 17th, 2012, 9:36 AM
Litwick. There are other fire Pokemon that I really like but Litwick beats them all.

For the sake of the poll though I chose Ninetales.

October 17th, 2012, 9:46 AM
Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.

Houndoom - hands down. I love Dark types as well as Fire types.

Love is the Law, Love under Will.

October 17th, 2012, 4:58 PM
Camerupt is a volcanic camel. Can't get any better than that.

October 18th, 2012, 10:13 PM
If I had to narrow it down, I'd go with Houndoom or Chandelure. Their designs are sleek and I love their typing. For the poll I voted Houndoom.

October 18th, 2012, 10:17 PM
I voted Ninetales because come on, it's Ninetales.

Chandelure or Arcanine would be a close second though.

October 18th, 2012, 11:10 PM
Typhlosion every time. Mainly because Crystal was my first pokémon game and he is the coolest fire type... in my opinion of course.

Satoshi Ookami
October 18th, 2012, 11:14 PM
This is discrimination against my sweet bug! Where's Volcarona?! :/
Outta these... I guess Arcanine. But Volcarona is Volcarona ;)

October 19th, 2012, 5:44 AM
Flareon is better than it is given credit for.
I like Magcargo's typing the most, but would prefer something with it to be better with physical attacks, and it looks rather goofy.

October 20th, 2012, 5:22 PM
Eeveelution that isn't as popular as it should be and it is a great pokemon overall. ^_^

October 20th, 2012, 8:52 PM
Chandelure is my definite fave, 'nuff said.

However I love Infernape too cos it's a FLAMIN' MONKEY! (I'm born in the Year of the Monkey and I do love monkeys)

October 20th, 2012, 8:57 PM
This is like choosing between your own children. @[email protected]

Gotta go with Arcanine first. Hounding right behind at no. 2 (going by the listed ones)

October 21st, 2012, 7:12 PM
From the ones listed, I have to side with Infernape. It's a monkey with a flaming crown. That's enough to garner my vote.

October 22nd, 2012, 3:52 AM
Blaziken cos its fire/fight dual type which also learns some flying type moves.

October 22nd, 2012, 7:45 AM
Ugh, this is difficult to decide because I love Fire-types so much. Can I please just say all of them? Um...I'll go with Growlithe/Arcanine! I love them so much; they're so cute and powerful, and they're really fast and learn some great moves, too! And they're really fluffy, too, so you can use them as a giant pillow or cuddle up next to them to stay warm. o3o

October 22nd, 2012, 8:01 AM
I like Chanalare the best, but for the poll I will choose Houndoom because I like it's design

October 22nd, 2012, 12:42 PM
Okay, I'm doing this. Overall, my top 4 favorites are Latias, Cresselia, Venusaur & Palkia, in case anyone wonders.

Bug: http://media.pldh.net/pokemon/gen5/blackwhite/637.png To be honest, I find Volcarona to be sort of a beauty Pokemon when female, but tough Pokemon when male. I never really got into the Bug Pokemon until she came along with the Fire half. Definitely a rare breed, I love her. Honorable mention goes to Scizor & Heracross.
Dark: http://media.pldh.net/pokemon/gen5/blackwhite/571.png- I actually love Foxes & Zoroark is a Fox. So...she gets my vote. Illusive FTW!
Dragon: http://media.pldh.net/pokemon/gen5/blackwhite/380.png- My Number 1 Favorite Pokemon of all time. Latias is a beautiful Pokemon all around, I would always love her in my party. In fact, she's done me good way too many times than any other Pokemon, so I do in fact, have a history with Latias in my party. Honorable mention goes to every dragon types there is, except Druddigon. Without Latias, I would be stuck on this one for ages.
Electric: http://media.pldh.net/pokemon/gen5/blackwhite/604.png- So the third Pokemon ever to not have a weakness but first ever to not be a Ghost or Dark type. Uh what more do you need! Honorable mention to Pichu, Pikachu, Raichu & Zapdos
Fighting: http://media.pldh.net/pokemon/gen5/blackwhite/257.png- Blaziken is definitely my 2nd favorite starter. As surprised as I still am, he's in Uber category. Oh yeah! Speed Boost FTW!
Fire: http://media.pldh.net/pokemon/gen5/blackwhite/250.png- So many to choose from here. Reshiram, Ho-Oh, Acranine, Blaziken again, Ninetales. I'd have to go with the 2nd Generation Legendary Pokemon, Ho-Oh, because of its amazing colors. It shines in the Anime beautifully, which caught my eyes when I saw it for the very first time.
Flying: http://media.pldh.net/pokemon/gen5/blackwhite/249.png- Definitely Lugia. I love Lugia a bit more than Ho-Oh, but the Guardian of the Sea role is just awesome.
Ghost: http://media.pldh.net/pokemon/gen5/blackwhite/487.png- Ghosts haven't really been my thing to be honest. I like Gengar, but the rest are meh. Giratina only because its a Dragon so...
Grass: http://media.pldh.net/pokemon/gen5/blackwhite/003.png- Favorite Starter Ever. Beast under the sun. Best dinosaur ever created. 'Nuff said. Honorable mention to Leafeon, Celebi & Shaymin
Ground: http://media.pldh.net/pokemon/gen5/blackwhite/445.png- I can't help but wonder, what IS my favorite ground type? I did love Nidoking back in Generation 1, Krookodile looks cool. Steelix is scary awesome. Once again, a Dragon role of Garchomp & Flygon takes up the top 2 spots here. Need I to say? Dragons again...
Ice: http://media.pldh.net/pokemon/gen5/blackwhite/131.png- I would say Cloyster, but I would be lying if I said no to Lapras. I don't know, Lapras has always been an interesting Pokemon to me from the start. Using her as a boat is probably the reason. Since I love swimming & all.
Normal: http://media.pldh.net/pokemon/gen5/blackwhite/468.png- Definitely this one. Has a great wide variety of movepool. Pretty bulky & powerful too. Honorable mention goes to Porygon-Z & the awesome model, Cinccino!
Poison: http://media.pldh.net/pokemon/gen5/blackwhite/003.png- Didn't want to use two Pokemon here but, I've got no choice. Venusaur top best once again. Check out the Grass type section for details.
Psychic: http://media.pldh.net/pokemon/gen5/blackwhite/488.png- Would be Latias, but because she's been chosen for Dragon, I'm giving Cresselia a spotlight for this one as a runner-up. Beauty, Majestic, very bulky, interesting movepool to say at the least. Honorable mention goes out to Espeon, Mew, Mewtwo, Lugia, Latios & Metagross.
Rock: http://media.pldh.net/pokemon/gen5/blackwhite/142.png- He's fast. Mighty fast. Speed is a huge + here. I am going to say the honorable mention goes to Aron. Even though I do hate my middle name a bit, Aron is my middle name ;) Can you say bond! Kabutops gets a spotlight as well.
Steel: http://media.pldh.net/pokemon/gen5/blackwhite/227.png- Skarmory is awesome. Very defensive, but almost all Steel Pokemon are pretty much. I love the design. Honorable mention goes to Scizor, Metagross, Bronzong, Dialga, Aron & Steelix.
Water: http://media.pldh.net/pokemon/gen5/blackwhite/484.png- Palkia is the best Pokemon designed ever! I love Dialga & Giratina also, but Palkia best them hands down. I love the lack of weaknesses, so Palkia is great. Honorable mention DEFINITELY goes to Kingdra, Milotic, Lapras, Starmie, Suicune & Kyogre!

Fire -http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/228.gifhttp://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/229.gif
The two are my all time #1 favorites(yeah, they're both number one).
If I was a Pokemon trainer, there would definitely be a Houndour/Houndoom in my team.

Water -http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/062.gif
I just love this big fella. I think he'd make a great buddy and a team member.
I could definitely use a pat on the shoulder from this one when i'm down xD

Grass -http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/001.gif
Loved it since I watched the episode in which Ash caught his when I was a child.
It's both loveable and tough at the same time, and that's always a winning combination.

Electric -http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/595.gif
This type is probably one of my least favorite to date. Not many Pokemon I can really relate to in it.
My other choice would be Ampharos, but I realised that I only liked it as a team member in Pokemon Crystal(traded with a friend as a child), but never actually liked its concept or artwork.
Joltik, on the other hand, I really like. It's adoreable and I think the bug/electric combo is awesome.

Psychic -http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/280.gif
I am a very emotional person, and I also suffer from depression and various anxieties.
I think having one of Ralts' evolution forms with me in my Poke-life would be very helpful, since they can sense human emotion, and can communicate with their trainers in a very special way that I find would be very helpful to my situation in that world.

Ice -http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/471.gif
My list of favorite Pokemon just wouldn't be complete without an Eeveelution.
I find Glaceon's appearance to be very beautiful and gentle. I find all the eeveelutions to be very loveable, and believe any of them could be a great Poke-pal in the Poke-world.

Dragon -http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/371.gifhttp://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/373.gif
I think Bagon's will to be able to fly is very touching and poetic. The fact that it eventually succeeds and becomes a Salamance is very inspiring and uplifting.

Dark -http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/198.gif
I think I am more interested and intrigued by Murkrow than I am loving it.
On the one hand it's a mischievous, not very likeable Dark-Flying bird Pokemon. But on the other hand it's not evil, and kinda looks constantly happy and content. I think having a good natured Murkrow as a team member in the Poke-world would be really fun.

Normal -http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/506.gifhttp://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/507.gifhttp://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/508.gif
I really love dogs and canines in general.
I find Lillipup adorable, Herdier determined and Stoutland very honorable. This evolution cycle is kind of reminiscent of some actual dog breeds' growing phases.

Fighting -http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/056.gifhttp://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/057.gif
I loved those two ever since I watched the anime as a kid. I used to watch the episode in which ash catches Mankey numerous times.

Flying -http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/022.gif
Idk, I just love it. It's intimidating and strong, and I personally find it sort of majestic looking.
I think being able to befriend one in the hypothetical Poke-world would be so rewarding.

Poison -http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/034.gif
Just like Fearow, I am very attracted to its fearsome appearance and strong nature. I also find it to be just as Majestic. I love all of the other Nidoran(Male) evolution forms as well.

Ground -http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/104.gif
Seriously guys, how many Pokemon have a better back-story than this little guy? I'd say NONE.
So sad, poetic and cute, yet strong and inspiring at the same time. I love it, and I want to give it a big hug.

Rock -http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/111.gif
I don't really like rock types that much, but I find Rhyhorn's concept to be very nice looking, and I think that all of his evolution forms are pretty damn badass.

Bug -http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/637.gif
Gah, I don't even know where to begin. This Pokemon is so beautiful and majestic and strong and fearsome and fuzzy and I just love it. I find it to be the best bug Pokemon to date.

Ghost -http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/425.gif
Another one of my least favorite types. My preferred ghost type used to be Gengar, but idk, I just don't really like it I guess.
I find drifloon to be adorable and that's pretty much it. I like it even though its back-story is freaking terrifying o-o...

Steel -http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/208.gif
It's badass. Nothing more to it. I love its appearance and the fact that it's gray, huge and has 'steel' in it's name.

This one will be hard :

Dark: Umbreon, or scrafty. Umbreon it is cute and has good moves :), Scrafty, I like its design, even if its German name is stupid I am not such a big fan of fighting types but I like that it is dual typed with dark.

Steel: Skarmory: Coolest bird ever, and it has such a good defense. I love its shiny version too :D

Ghost: Gastly , I love its TCG cards

Salamence, or garchomp. Hm I like blue and they are both strong pokes. worth the training :D

Normal : Furret . Cutest normal poke :D

Oshawott rules but you can't but fall in love with Pikachu. After all, once you read the books (I didn't get the chance to watch the series), Pikachu is really loyal and adorable at the same time. The one where Pikachu can't decide between Ash or the other wild pikachu's and realises happiness in his trainer proves its loyalty. So there, Pikachu.

Bug - http://sprites.pokecheck.org/i/267.gif Ever since I saw it's design, I was completely mesmerized. I use it sometimes in Contests in R/S/E...
Dark - http://sprites.pokecheck.org/i/461f.gif Weavile is unique. There is something mysterious about it. I just don't know... :/
Dragon - http://sprites.pokecheck.org/i/334.gif Altaria is majestic and beautiful. And by far has the coolest design imo.
Electric - http://sprites.pokecheck.org/i/311.gifhttp://sprites.pokecheck.org/i/312.gif These two have captured my heart. It's designs are cute and lovely. =3
Fighting - http://sprites.pokecheck.org/i/640.gif Virizion looks cool imo. And it is also a Grass Type... 'nuff said.
Fire - http://sprites.pokecheck.org/i/257f.gif Blaziken proves to be useful. I actually choose it in picking starters.
Flying - http://sprites.pokecheck.org/i/492-sky.gif Idk why but I think it is because they replenish the lands with flowers? Meh...
Ghost - http://sprites.pokecheck.org/i/292.gif Shedinja is too mysterious... and I like it... Somehow creepy... :/
Grass - http://sprites.pokecheck.org/i/182.gif My most favorite Pokemon of all, Bellossom is the most cutest one imo... I never get tired of it tbh...
Ground - http://sprites.pokecheck.org/i/290.gif A tough one... Nincada comes out on top since it is the only one who stood out for me...
Ice - http://sprites.pokecheck.org/i/471.gif Glaceon is the coolest (no pun intended) Ice Pokemon I've ever seen... I just fell in love with it...
Normal - http://sprites.pokecheck.org/i/573.gif Cinccino has a cute and majestic style to it... And it is soo cute <3
Posion - http://sprites.pokecheck.org/i/045.gif The counterpart to Bellossom, this was the obvious choice... Other Poison types don't interest me...
Psychic - http://sprites.pokecheck.org/i/282.gif Gardevoir since it is the most cooles out of the bunch...
Rock - http://sprites.pokecheck.org/i/338.gif Solrock stood out for me as it is technically a "Sun Stone".... :P
Steel - http://sprites.pokecheck.org/i/448.gif Awesomeness + Fighting Type + Steel Type + Pokemon = Lucario 'nuff said...
Water - http://sprites.pokecheck.org/i/350f.gif Milotic is beautiful... And getting it is a big challenge. I love it.

Just what the title says. Anyhow my favorite Grass-Type would have to be Sceptile. I like how Dragon-like it is and how it proves that though learning Dragon-Type moves like Dragon Claw. I also like how it's a fast Grass-Type with great speed.

December 1st, 2012, 1:35 PM
I've never been a person that uses Grass type Pokemon a lot, but I would have to say that Breloom is my favorite. It isn't neccessarily because it's a Pokemon that I like to use a lot, but it was the first Shiny Pokemon that I caught in any of the games, so that's why it's my favorite. A close second for me would be Sceptile as well, and for a few of the same reasons as you've listed, too.

Tropius. Best Pokemon of all time. Like a giant prehistoric dinosaur tree. That flies.

Not really a fan of Grass type, but... probably Cherubi. Its adorable but not very strong. Good enough in the mean time ^,^

December 3rd, 2012, 5:44 AM
I don't use many grass types in my game, but my favourite I'd say was Bellossom.

December 3rd, 2012, 10:12 AM
Sceptile, Torterra and Ferrothorn. The former 2 look cool and the latter has very high defenses.

December 4th, 2012, 8:11 PM
Definitely Sceptile. <3 It was my very first grass type, and it's design is just...amazing!

The Grubby Pup
December 4th, 2012, 8:55 PM
Grass type are mah favorite, so it's gonna be hard to say which is mah overall favorite. But I guess, if I had to say, it'll be The Ultimate Grass Type Tank: Meganium. If it wasn't for the Chikorita-line, I'll prolly wouldn't had fell in love the grass types so much, so I'm gonna say that mah favorite one.

December 4th, 2012, 9:07 PM
Sawsbuck, although Leavanny is a really close second!

December 4th, 2012, 10:22 PM
Grass-types are among my faves as far as design goes.

I love most of the cute ones, especially the Roselia, Cottonee, Petilil, Sewaddle and Oddish lines.

December 7th, 2012, 4:53 PM
I wasn't too found to Grass type Pokemon really, so I'll have to go with Cradily because of it's high defense and special defense and its the type of Pokemon to mess with people.

December 9th, 2012, 2:27 PM
There is no pokemon I actually dislike, and its very hard for me to pick favourites because there is just too many.

Also, if I like say Kingdra, it means I like the whole Horsea line. Members of an evolutionary chain are inseparable to me and represent one pokemon species. I can't think about Lairon without having Aron and Aggron in the back of my mind adding to the opinion.

So I tried picking one for each type (by primary types, and exclusively Normal/Flying for the Flying type, to give every pokemon an equal chance; in other words you are all doing it wrong, exploiting dual types to get more favourites on your list, ie Houndoom is Dark, pick an actual Fire poke too duh etc..), but by the end of writing this post, one of the favourites probably already changed, let alone in a few days.

Here goes.

Furret - Ive always liked Sentret and Furret, because they are so adorable compared to Kantos rodent and one of such that actually isn't pink.

Typhlosion - It looks friendly and cool at the same time, doesn't have a cliche Fire-pokemon coloration and I love how each stage is different even though they are all rather simple designs.

Milotic - It is a beautiful sea monster, which sounds like a contradiction. So elegant and mystic.

Luxray - Just when I thought Ampharos would be my favourite Electric Pokemon forever, they introduced the Shinx line, which for me as a big fan of felines was instant favourite. It has a great exotic color choice and ends up extremely cool.

Roserade - I did not care much about Roselia, because I just did not see much potential in it, but I was proven wrong when they fully expanded its line and did that very well. Every detail on Roserade is spot on.

Froslass - When I first saw the alternate female evolution of the hilariously cute Snorunt, I was at a loss of words. Its simply magnificent.

Flygon - It makes for a great antlion based pokemon and actually turns into a more dragonic than insectoid creature.

Lucario - This pokemon has everything, it is cool, powerful, has canine features and an egyptian vibe, and was the first Fighting pokemon to take the special side of its type to a serious level.

Drapion - What a creative take on a scorpion, with the symmetries and alternating purples, as nasty and creepy as the real thing.

Staraptor - Its simply the coolest of its bird bros with that stylish haircut and the grey shades.

Gardevoir - a green haired humanoid Psychic pokemon? I jumped in excitement when I first saw a picture of Ralts. Its one of those good-hearted pokemon in their world full of threatening faces. Not to mention it also got an offensive addition with Gallade, which caught me totally off guard and is an interesting shift.

Weavile - It is a cold vicious predator, and it absolutely looks like it.

Galvantula - A furry electric spider? Fascinating! Yellow and blue/purple contrasting shades? I'm sold!!

Cradily - It looks the most ancient of all the fossils we have seen so far, very exotic and peculiar.

Banette - Freaky and not here to play anymore. Just wish gamefreak would remember it and give it an evolution too.

Salamence - Sleek and menacing. I love its evolution, mimicking insect metamorphosis was ingenious, there should be more of that in non Bug territory.

Steelix - A huge but cautious boulder worm turns into a scary monstrous steel serpent. After 5 generations such a core elemental change is still rare.

Moltres Rider
December 13th, 2012, 5:02 AM

Why??? because I love it's design...

December 16th, 2012, 1:13 PM
Ah, neat, a brain excercise. I'm so used to just exclaiming Nidorina and being done with it (mostly because I can't remember anyone else 80% of the time) that this'll give me a chance to actually think back and evaluate.

Normal: Er, well I'm already off to a bad start. I can't choose between Sentret, Rattata and Miltank, but the reasons are all the same. I just think all of them are cute. Rattata gets bonus points just for being a rodent, the type of animals I like iRL.

Fire: Vulpix. Has been my favorite for over a decade based on the sheer novelty of being adorable, and having a voice to match. I know most people prefer Eevee, but I feel Vulpix outclasses Eevee at least ten-fold.

Water: Oh, shoot. I dunno. Totod... Mudk, well, no, Squirt... AHA. Lapras. No. No, wait. Totodile. Definately, definately Totodile. Probably. As for why, well, it's one of those "depends on the artist" sort of things, but Totodile can be really cute, too. I bought a Totodile plushie from the Pokemon Store in NY way way way back, and it's the cutest chibification of it ever. Lapras is graceful, but I think Totodile edges it out just for its playful personality. And cute appeal if that's what the artist is aiming for.

Oh shoot. I totally forgot Horsea. Horsea's probably a runner up. I just wish it wasn't edged out by Togepi in the anime.

Electric: Flaaffy, no contest. Also cute as a button. Clearly, I'm aesthetically biased.

Grass: It's between the first three generations of starters. Chikorita is on the far end of cute, Treecko's on the far end of cool, and Bulbasaur sits in the middle. My actual preference flucuates, typically between Chiko and Bulba, with Treecko poping in on the days I remember the poor guy actually exists. There's no way I can settle on one.

Ice: Articuno, I guess. I can't remember a whole lot of ice types. But I always loved this thing's cry in the games. That's one thing I'll probably never forget.

Ground: Is Trapinch a ground type? If so, him. Those starry eyes and that huge head of his on that little body, man I love it.

Fighting: Hitmontop or Medicham (depending on the artist). Hitmontop is sort of funny looking, but not goofy funny. Like Charlie Brown funny. It's a very simple design that I can get behind. Medicham, it really does come down to who's drawing it, because it has potential, but it can also come off as too weird.

Poison: Nidorina. The easiest one thus far. There's way way way way way too many reasons why I like Nidorina, that I can't possibly condense it into something bite-sized. You'll just have to trust me when I say Nidorina's my favorite Pokemon (but for the sake of the topic, I'll throw out good character design as one of the core reasons).

Flying: Aye... Pidgey? It's a successful take on the common sparrow, I'll give it that. The name just doesn't match at all.

Psychic: Kirlia for historical reasons, but otherwise I'm not sure. Mew may be a modern answer for me, though, sense I don't pay Kirlia any attention anymore. Also, sometimes it's Abra. Blah, this list really isn't working for me, is it?

Dark: Sableye, if it's really dark-ghost and I'm not just remembering wrong. Funny looking creature that reminds me of Stitch from Lilo and Stitch.

Bug: Parasect. If I don't like a Pokemon because it's cute, I love it because it's goofy. What a funny looking creature this guy is. I love how it has a face like 83. Paras is cuter, but Parasect makes me laugh, and that's good enough.

Rock: Onix. I have to give Brock's Onix credit more making me think of it as more than a huge, mean ol' rock snake. It seems like there's some compassion underneath that rocky exterior. I'd like to think that Onix are contemplative to a degree. Imagining stuff like this is why I still like Pokemon.

Ghost: Haunter. Much better looking than Gengar, and the character design is appealling overall.

Dragon: Flygon. One of the few dragons I actually like beyond a superficial level. I mean, the Dratini line is a favorite of mine, too, but I never feel compelled to give them a lot of thought, either.

Steel: Mawile. Almost solely on the basis that there aren't any other cute steel types that I can identify with, Aron being an exception. Whether or not they came up with some in the 4th generation and beyond, I wouldn't know, and I lack the will to find out. I have to go with what I know.

Ugh, terrible. This is the result of someone who hasn't played Pokemon in ages, folks, but still loves them enough as characters.

December 16th, 2012, 2:16 PM
Let me try.

Normal-Kangaskahn. I used one once. It destroyed everything with outrage, crunch, earthquake, and the such.
Grass-Ludicolo. As much as a stereotype as it is, I love it. Probably in my top ten with a good movepool and typing.
Water-Lanturn. Same case with Ludicolo. Though it is probably the best Pokemon to use in rain (STAB never missing Thunder, plus powered up STAB water moves)
Fire-Magmar. Not only my favourite fire type, but my favourite Pokemon. Balanced stats, great movepool, and let's not forget the Butthead.
Electric-Magneton/Magnezone. I love them both. Are resistant to many types, with the addition to Magnet Rise.
Flying-Crobat. Very fast, very powerful. Can wipe out whole teams when not prepared.
Bug-Pinsir. Same case with Crobat, except not as fast.
Rock-Shuckle. DAT DEFENSE.
Ground-Flygon Family. Part of the first team I used in Ruby, and loved it immensely.
Steel-Steelix. Like Shuckle, but can actually fight well too.
Ice-Articuno. My favourite legendary. The first I raised to lvl 100.
Poison-Drapion. Wiped my friend's entire team out with this guy and his cross poison.
Psychic-Sigilyph. Really weird... And I love it.
Fighting-Conkeldurr. Wiped everyone out on my first Black playthrough.
Ghost-Spiritomb. I WANT AN EVOLUTION!!!
Dark-Honchkrow. He always struck me as a Mafia leader, and I love him for that.
Dragon-Hydreigon. Looks awesome. Powerhouse. And is overall amazing.

January 1st, 2013, 8:24 AM
Maybe Grovyle, especially after Time & Darkness xD
He also has cool design, good stats, etc. Just really awesome.

January 1st, 2013, 10:23 AM
Grass is my favorite type.

Petilil - probably my single favorite. Just so incredibly cute, and actually surprisingly tough.
Lilligant - beautiful and deadly - the perfect evolution for Petilil.
Leavanny - one of my all-time favorite sweepers, even with its weaknesses.
Tropius - as noted, a prehistoric dinosaur tree that can fly. What could be cooler than that?
Roselia/Roserade - I've always had a soft spot for Roselia, and often had one on my RSE teams. Roserade is just that much better.
Cacturne - such a great concept, and perfectly executed - it really seems sneaky and vicious, and it is.
Torterra - I wish I could live on a Torterra...
Breloom - a long-time favorite - great typing, great moves, still a terrifying opponent, after all these years.
Treecko/Grovyle/Sceptile - one of my all-time favorite starters, and Grovyle is easily my favorite middle evolution of any starter ever.
Deerling - so cute and so perfectly executed - its Jump Kick is likely to either KO you or KO itself.
Sawsbuck - surprisingly tough and the winter form is beautiful.
Ferrothorn - absolutely my all-time favorite staller.
Ludicolo - it just looks so happy, even as it's demolishing other pokemon.

And... Victreebel, Leafeon, Cherrim, Abomasnow, Shiftry, Whimsicott.....

January 2nd, 2013, 6:02 AM
Breloom because he's so jacked. I have grown tired of seeing so many people use Spore/Focus Punch though. I also like Meganium (he's cool) and Jumpluff because I think it's hilarious that Cotton Guard and Amnesia can be spammed and all of a sudden it's a tank lol.

January 2nd, 2013, 6:43 PM
I like a lot of the ones mentioned (like Sceptile, Breloom and Sawsbuck) but one that helped me out in a lot of early games was Parasect, so probably him :)

January 2nd, 2013, 6:55 PM
Turtwig would probably be my favourite Grass Type. It's just a personal favourite.

January 3rd, 2013, 9:59 AM
Personally, I'm not much of a grass-type fan, but I sure love Snivy and Servine's design the most and also Pansage and Simisage too!

January 3rd, 2013, 10:18 AM
My favourite Grass-type, without a doubt, is Ludicolo! Not only is it part Water-type (so its Fire-type weakness cancels out), but its design is really cool too. :)
However, I especially hate the generation five Grass-types (mostly the Snivy/Pansage lines though). Don't ask why, I just don't like 'em.

January 4th, 2013, 1:13 PM
Bulbasaur, Bellsprout or Chikorita. My reasons probably have little to do with the games and even less to do with how they look. Bulbasaur mostly because of the anime, Bellsprout because he's my friend's favorite and we'd draw Bellsprout doing stuff back in HS, and Chikorita because it's cute, but overall I think I enjoy specific characterizations of all three of them based on what I've seen, which is really all that matters to me.

Oh, Treecko in the anime was awesome, too.

January 4th, 2013, 1:22 PM
Id have to say shaymin sky form because its the ultimate grass pokemon

January 6th, 2013, 9:40 PM
Mine is Tangela. I just love how useful Tangela is in battle and how it has cool little red shoe thingys for feet. Not to mention it has a great Crystal sprite.

Puppeteer Mask
January 15th, 2013, 9:55 AM
I'd have to say Snivy is my favourite grass type pokemon due to its smug attitude and cocky smirk. Serperior is also pretty awesome, particularly in the fact that it arrogantly keeps its hands clasped behind its back. Badass.

Starlight Wind
January 16th, 2013, 2:51 AM
My favorite Grass-type would be Grovyle and Shaymin. Grovyle because it's looks awesome, and Shaymin because it's Sky forme is cool!

January 18th, 2013, 2:16 AM
My favorite Grass type changes constantly. At the moment, I'd say I like Lilligant best.

January 18th, 2013, 4:45 AM
I'm not a user of grass-type Pokemon, but I do like their designs. The ones I like are Lilligant, Leavanny, Maractus, Sawsbuck, Grovyle, Tropius, Celebi, Cherubi, Leafeon, Shaymin, Snivy....I think that's it. Yup, I know that's a whole lot, but I like their designs a lot.

Mr Cat Dog
January 24th, 2013, 12:55 PM
My favourite Grass-type critter, because it's pretty much the least like a Grass-type Pokemon. It's also one of the least likely Rock-type Pokemon as well, which is why it's one of my favourite Rock-type critters too. Sure it's slow and it's ugly and its stats aren't the best... but there's something about it that I just can't say no to. Maybe it's those creepy eyes that aren't really eyes; maybe it's the fact that its typings - which, individually give craploads of weaknesses - cancel most of the weaknesses out. I don't know. All I do know is that I love Cradily.

Sweets Witch
January 24th, 2013, 2:01 PM
Lilligant. I use a Lilligant every chance I get to. One day I'll get to abuse Own Tempo by using Petal Dance, but I have to work up the courage to run that set because it's very gimmicky.

But yeah, Lilligant's really pretty and really useful in-game.

January 24th, 2013, 2:07 PM
For me, it's Venasaur because it's the first Pokemon I ever had, (I still have my very first Venasaur, transferred all the way to White 2 from Leafgreen) and because Venasaur is my favorite Pokemon ever.

Overall, it's a tie between Zoroark and Galvantula. If I had to choose, it'd be Zoroark. I even put his name on the rock in the Shaymin event.

January 27th, 2013, 8:44 PM
Simple question I would like to know what's your favorite Fire-Type Pokemon both legendary and non-legendary? Well for me if your talking non-legendarys I'd have to go with Charizard if you are talking about legendarys defiantly Reshiram.

January 27th, 2013, 9:10 PM
I'd say maybe Quilava and Moltres.

Chaos Fork
January 28th, 2013, 2:22 PM
Talking about legendarys, I'd pick Reshiram. I don't really like fire types. But i do like reshi. He looks original. Non-legendarys, I dunno. Maybe something like Flareon coz it's fluffy

January 29th, 2013, 12:09 AM
Ninetales has been my favorite Fire-type Pokemon for a long time, even though it's prevolution would always show up in the game I didn't own (Silver, SoulSilver, LeafGreen). I also loved that, despite it still being a pure Fire-type, it's able to learn a good number of Psychic-type moves.

Kikaito plush
January 29th, 2013, 3:33 AM
I would go for Fluffy little Flareon and Ponyta for my favourite fire types

January 29th, 2013, 6:07 AM
My number one is none other than CYNDAQUIL! Dear little Cyndaquil the Johto fire-type starter will always be first on my list for absolute cuteness and adorableness. <3 For a legendary, it would have to be Entei. This fire dog was the first of the legendary dogs that I have seen due to the movie, and will always remain part of my childhood. :3

January 29th, 2013, 6:43 AM
Rapidash, I've always loved this Pokemon since the beginning and I haven't yet found a Fire type that I prefer.

January 29th, 2013, 7:18 AM
Flareon or Chandelure are my favorites, and my favorite legendary Fire-type is Victini, definitely x)

January 29th, 2013, 10:23 AM
There was a locked thread for this, and I posted my faves there. I'm not gonna use double types to fill my faves though. I'll have a new Pokemon in those types.

Normal: Granbull - He just looks like a tough guy ahaha. I like him for that!
Fire: Houndoom - He's a doberman, and breathes fire and pulsates dark energy. What is there not to like?
Water: Omastar - Destroyed in Blue for me. Hydro Pump, Surf, Blizzard and Horn Drill is a hilarious moveset, especially for a guy like me who gets lucky with bad accuracy moves. I use Omastar regularly to this day!
Grass: Venusaur - He's just sick. A quadriped dinosaur with a huge blooming flower on his back. What's not to like?
Electric: Galvantula - Can learn to spiderweb attacks, can potentially have 91 base accuracy for Thunder, and Galvanize may be one of the best words in the English language.
Bug: Pinsir - There are so many bugs I love, also Masquerain, Shedinja, Ninjask, and Galvantula, obviously. But Pinsir was around first and he's a monster. Venomoth too but he's going in Poison.
Poison: Venomoth - He looks really cool, and has probably my favourite voice in the show, aside from Breloom.
Fighting: Breloom. He's looks SICK! It's a shame how people only use him for Spore and Focus Punch, though. 130 base attack and the best voice in the show. Can't go wrong with this guy.
Flying: Crobat - Ran faaaaast through Ruby with this guy leading my team. Torched the Elite Four as well, someone survived against Glacia. (I'm lucky with Attract).
Rock: Probopass - Although if I could get rid of his mustache I certainly would!
Ground: Marowak - Bonemerang is the best name for an attack. Looks really cool too.
Steel: Bisharp - Based off of the bishop chess pieces, and he's also part dark. <3
Ice: Froslass (looooooooooooooooooooooooove Snorunt) and she makes him really cool.
Psychic: Espeon - favourite with Umbreon.
Ghost: Whatever the ghost evolution that Eevee eventually gets is. Ahaha.
Dark: Umbreon - favourite with Espeon.
Dragon: Kyurem Cool backstory

January 30th, 2013, 9:15 AM
Just tell me about yours

Mine is umbreon mainly because I grew up with him on colosseum and he was all I used

January 31st, 2013, 7:09 AM
Blastoise. I am not sure whether it is because it was always my favourite card as a kid or whether it is because how cool he looks but I really love Blastoise. My 2nd is Typhlosion because Gold was always my fave game as a kid and I raised a Cyndiquail into a Typhlosion :) 3rd is Houndoom because he looks awesome lol :D

February 1st, 2013, 8:53 AM
Arcanine has always been my favorite but ever since I heard Lumineon's cry in DP it's been a close second

February 1st, 2013, 2:55 PM
My favorite Pokemon is Empoleon. I like every water type starter but it didn't become my favorite until I had one in Diamond and I saw how awesome its typing was. Plus penguins are my favorite animals and that's obviously what Empoleon is based off of.

February 1st, 2013, 3:51 PM
i have lots of favorites depending on weither legendary or not in generation 1 was alakazam and mewtwo, generation 2 espeon and celebi, generation 3 blaziken salamance and jirachi, generation 4 lucario empoleon garchomp and cresselia generation 5 sigilyph and zeckrom. my favorite type is phychic but there are others i like too

February 1st, 2013, 3:58 PM
I know I messed it up the first time by only listing without giving a reason why, so now I know better, here is 2nd attempt:

• Bug: Leavanny, I don't like bug-Pokemon much, but non other bugs looked interesting

• Dark: Liepard is my number one #1 Pokemon, so its no surprise its also my favorite type of Pokemon too. Its the looks on its eyes that really get me, and the fur markings too. Liepard has become the #1 in my heart. Its eyes are sort of using attract on me, and its extremely effective on me.

• Dragon: Axew, blame it on Iris in the anime, I like Fraxure a bit more.

• Electric: Emolga no other electric type Pokemon comes even close, look at the cuteness its eyes and heart, it has Volt Switch, and in the anime it has a really cool sounding voice, especially when its laughing.

• Fighting:Mienfoo, I fell in love with Mienfoo's design, too me it has a weaselish type body, and it has drain punch, my favorite fighting attack

• Fire: Pignite, not too much into fire-types, but definitely would go to Pignite.

• Flying: Swanna, personally don't like flying types as much, really love when I use Roost, and hate when its used against me, drags the battles too long

• Ghost: Cofagrigus's design looks creepy if I had to see it at night, but would make a great album cover for the metal band Nile, I can see it now.

• Grass: Servine best grass Pokemon created to date, I wouldn't dream about using any other grass type, along with Snivy and Serperior, I love their designs, they are screaming at me to play Pokemon White again

• Ground: Krokorok, at first I didn't want to give it a chance, when I did I'm glad I made the choice, it has really helped me out along the way.

• Ice: Beartic, I couldn't exactly find a Ice-type I liked the most but I'll give the credit to Beartic, I have not been able to find one yet.

• Normal: my heart is screaming out for Persian but Watchog's eye, heart, and cuteness isn't letting me do so. Watchog has been my partner since I first catch them as Patrat (which I love too)

• Poison: Scolipede, its first bug-type but also has poison type too, so its the one I like by design the most

• Psychic: Sigilyph, looks frightening from certain angles, but like its design

• Rock: Crustle, I know its part bug part rock, but I also not too much into rock Pokemon either

• Steel: another type of which I don't like much, so my only choice is also part bug. Genesect, can't wait to see it in the movie

• Water: Dewott, Oshawott and Samurott too, no other Water Pokemon comes even close for my likings, well Buizel/Floatzel may come close, but for design and beauty Dewott takes all the credit. Why in my games he's the strongest and holds an everstone.

there were too many others to mention from other generations, but still Unova Pokemon appeal more to me. I still like Pokemon from other regions (with the exception of Johto, only like 1).

February 4th, 2013, 7:04 PM
Ooh boy oh boy. What fun!
Ok first things first. I'll pick these based off of either how much I used them or if I just like them in general. I'll give reasons.
Normal- hard to choose but I guess teddiursa? I don't use normal types at all. Or normal flying for that matter. Teddiursa is just way cute IMHO. No other reason lol

Fighting- another hard to choose type cuz I never use them. I guess blaziken cuz back when I played sapphire I tried torchic cuz I never used anything but water starters till then and so blaziken was really the only fighting type I know and used well.

Flying- probably crobat. In my ruby and sapphire and heartgold adventures a zubat golbat then crobat wound up being my second so this was the primary flying type I used and it's consistent for me. Also cool cuz the evolution from golbat to crobat makes me feel it loves me lol.

Poison- I'd say muk. Nothing really special I've just always had a soft spot for it. Mainly for its design. Don't ask I have no clue y I love this pile of toxic sludge. Considering I'm a near freak it's even weirder lol

Ground- swampert. My first ever Pokemon to reach 100 back in ruby. And an absolute power house. I truly loved him and I'm so glad I have one now in heartgold.

Rock- another type I don't meddle in. But I'd go with... Gigalith. I don't have one but I'd probably use it if I did and had to have a rock type. Looks cool and not bad stats.

Bug- ariados. I just love spiders. And it's not bad lol

Ghost- haunter. I hate gengar's design. XD but also haunter looks cool and it's perfectly creepy but also goofy.

Steel- aggron. Awesome design. Powerful. Underrated xD

Fire- I generally don't use fire types either. I'd say rapidash. I love the design and high speed and attack. It's a unicorn on fire. Yes some bad jokes could be made about that but I love it lol it's uber bad ass.

Water- my favorite type ugh. Lol it'd be unfair to choose mudkip cuz it's the same reason I picked swampert for my ground. So I'll give it to squirtle. Love thy guy. I picked him in blue as a child because he's water type and blastoise was cool and I thought water was cool. So he was also my first Pokemon ever. Had a cake shaped like him when I turned ten lol.

Grass- again a type I don't use. Probably cacturne. I raised one for a while alongside blaziken.

Electric- ah one of my 4 favorite types its hard omg lol shinx and emolga they're just too darn cute my shinx luxio luxray was my main Pokemon in platinum cuz I started with piplup but I hate piplup and its family. So I'd choose shinx I guess lol

Psychic- mewtwo. The movie and also I generally don't use psychic so I wind up with him cuz I just think his design is cool lol

Ice- another of my fav 4. Maybe glaceon? So cute and cuddly and nice abilities.

Dragon- last of my fav types. Hard. Haxorus, salamence, dialga. Lets go salamence. He's the most loyal to what a dragon is.

Dark- spiritomb. I like his stats. And no weakness. Finally I quite like his design.

February 5th, 2013, 1:29 AM
Normal: Igglybuff, omg it is so fluffy im gonna die
Fire: Houndour, yes not houndoom. houndours cuteness and tough looks make me wanna cry :P
Water: Squirtle - it just changes and changes because water is my favourite type, so basically all water pokemon gets me.but there is something in squirtle
Grass: Ludicoloooo - It looks so stupid and that makes me want to hug him :P his moves are so cool and his combination is like unique.
Electric: Pichuuu - baby pokemons are my favourite but pichu is... soo damn cuutee!
Bug: Shedinja - bugs are my least favourites, but i don't hate shedinja, it has unique abilities and 10 hp. he cant be hit by any attack unless it is super effective!.
Poison: Haunter - He is really cool, and he is part of ghost group. what can i want else?
Fighting: Primape - He is something like monkey+pig. and his powers are amazing. he is amazing
Rock: Aerodactyl - it is so badass. his flying type moves close the super effective from ground. and he is badass
Ground: Krokodile - it looks so cool.
Steel: Lucario - altough i cant get why it is steel i love him for no reason.
Ice: Beartic - i won black just because of him.
Psychic: Chingling - it is a bell, i mean what is cooler than a bell?
Ghost: GOLETT - it is so mysterious of all pokemon. i love him for that
Dark: zoroark: nobody can be cooler.
Dragon: Dragonite: it was the first anime episode i ever watched. it is special.(the episodes name was something like tower or something)

February 5th, 2013, 12:07 PM
Mew It's cute lovely smart plus amazing you think so? oh yes it's stunning kindly love it! Hug it when sleeping warm and cuddly spectacular ravishing

oh wait... is that not how we describe pokemon?!?

I guess hes just a childhood want... always wanted one... never could catch one (without cheating of course)

even if Nintendo gives you one its not the same as catching it... same goes for cheating... just not good enough :(

so mew has always been my favorite.. not to mention mew is cute...

February 15th, 2013, 3:55 PM
Normal: Skitty - In Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team, after taking the personality test, I turned into Skitty. And ever since that time, I've actually really liked this cute pink kitten.

Fire: Heatmor - It's really creepy and cool at the same time. When I first started playing Pokémon White, I was really disappointed for a long time because there simply wasn't a single semi-cool fire-type. Well, that was until I stumbled upon one in Victory Road, and my whole World turned around.

Fighting: Sawk - Because of the TV-Series after watching Stephan's Sawk, I came to like it quite a bit.

Water: Squirtle - I only came to realize the other day, just how much I actually like Squirtle. I originally thought Octillery was my favorite, but no. Squirtle somehow surpassed it.

Flying: Altaria - Since I have a blue budgie, and I always thought that if he ever were to become a Pokémon, it would be a Swablu or Altaria.

Grass: Snivy & Bulbasaur - My 2 favorite starters of all time. It's horrible, but I can't choose between them. Snivy is really chic, while Bulbasaur is totally cool. How would I ever be able to choose?

Poison: Crobat - Ever since I first completed my HeartGold Nuzlocke which had a Crobat on the team, I've always had a big liking for Crobat. It was one of my best Pokémon.

Electric: Zapdos - This one was really hard, and I'm honestly not much for favoring legendary Pokémon. But Zapdos has been my favorite legendary ever since Pokémon first came out when I was 6 years old, and it still is.

Ground: Cubone - Used to be my favorite when I was smaller. Now it's just... My favorite Ground type.

Psychic: Mewtwo - Most badass legendary Pokémon ever. Truly.

Rock: Geodude - Mostly because of its name. "Geo - dude" is just... Priceless. I was close to choosing Gigalith as well.

Ice: Mamoswine - Same reason as for Crobat. My Mamoswine and Crobat teamed up together made the perfect fit.

Bug: Surskit - I think Surskit's the cutest thing ever. I seldom find anything cute, but Surskit is really, really adorable with those tiny legs and blushing cheeks!

Dragon: Garchomp - I like Garchomp. Why? Because it's strong. I must admit Cynthia made me like Garchomp even more than I originally would have.

Dark: Bisharp - I trained one up in Black2, and it turned out to be my strongest Pokémon on its team, so I just naturally preferred it more.

Steel: Lairon - I've never been that fond of Steel-types. But I guess I like Lairon more, since I one ran into a shiny one. It used Roar on me and disappeared forever, though.

Ghost: Banette - Banette is not only my favorite Ghost-type Pokémon. It's actually my favorite Pokémon of all. I don't really know why, to be honest. It's weak and not that useful, but man! I like this Pokémon so much.

February 18th, 2013, 6:01 AM
Normal - Kangaskhan: I love the design of kangaskhan and that is based on an Australian icon. But on top of that it is quite powerful and can learn several fairly good moves.

Fire - Charizard: Charizard really is one of the single most badass pokemon in existence. I love not only its design but also its characterisation in the anime. It's got great stats and a fairly good movepool to boot.

Fighting - Lucario: I quite like several fighting types but lucario outclasses them all and is my number #1 favourite pokemon so far. It is awesomely powerful, has a good movepool and typing as well as the coolest design I have ever seen in pokemon. The interesting characterisations it has received have also been very interesting.

Water - Feraligatr: I don't even know why I like it, I just do. I instantly loved it as soon as I saw it.

Flying - Staraptor: Staraptor was the first truly awesome non-legendary bird with good stats, design and an ok movepool. It set a standard for flying types that the next gen tried very hard to keep. (Honourable mention to Togekiss, the dorky name cost it really).

Grass - Sceptile: The first fully evolved grass-type to not look ridiculous (well venosaur isn't THAT bad but it doesn't compete) it has good stats as do most starters and arguably the best movepool of any grass type. Again the anime portrayal of it did help. (Honourable mention to shiftry purely for design)

Poison - Toxicroak and Crobat: I really couldn't decide between them at all. Both have awesome designs and whilst crobat is generally better for battling I just couldn't not include Toxicroak.

Electric - Jolteon: Honestly I don't really like many electrict types so it was pretty easy to narrow it down to jolteon that gets #1 electric based purely on design.

Ground - Marrowack: I'm not much of a ground-type fan in general but I love the Cubone/Marrowack story and honestly it is just an awesome looking pokemon.

Psychic - Mewtwo: I tried really hard not to pick a legendary but I just couldn't top Mewtwo. The stats, the history, the character and the design. Just wow. Honestly it was my favourite until Lucario came along and I'm still a huge fan.

Rock - Kabutops: I am a colossal fan of most fossil type and this one was close between Aerodactyl, Kabutops, Rampardos and Armaldo but in the end Kabutops just looks so ridiculously badass and has such a cool mega kick animation on Stadium that I couldn't pick anything else.

Ice - Vanilite/Vailuxe: A tie between stages one and three. The combination of stats, cuteness, uniqueness and moves just makes this one for me too be honest. Although for some reason I hate Vanilish.

Bug - Pinsir: Just because... How could you look at it and not think of how awesome it is?

Dragon - Flygon: Good stats, good movepool and the most unique design of all the dragon types to date. It really is seriously underated always being beaten out by Salamence (whose design I don't like much) and Garchomp but I find it hard to think of anything I dislike about it. I'll admit this was hard though since dragon is one of my favourite types. (Honourable mention to Garchomp and Dialga).

Dark - Umbreon: It is the most awesome of all the eeveelutions and has good stats and moves on top of that.

Steel - Agron: It is honestly just the most awesomely designed off all the steel types (except Lucario) but as a lover of steel types this was hard. I gave it to Agron for the power/defence/looks/moves it has everything whilst others have only a few of those elements (and I picked Lucario for fighting lol). (Metagross and Dialga came close).

Ghost - Gengar: It's creepy and cool at the same time. I mean, how awesome is a living shadow, AND it has good stats and moves.

Kung Fu Ferret
February 18th, 2013, 8:02 AM
Bug: Scolipede, because it saved me a bunch of times in Pokemon White
Dark: Krookodile, because it's just that epic. It also reminds me of Guilmon for some reason...
Dragon: Dragonite, thanks to a certain YouTube video
Electric: Luxray, I mean COME ON! It's a LION that shoots LIGHTNING!
Fighting: Mienshao, the KUNG FU FERRET THING!
Fire: Charizard, best of the characters in SSBB!
Flying: Pidgeot, had one lv 90-something in Yellow as a kid.
Ghost: Cofagrigus, because I like Egyptian stuff
Grass: Torterra, my first level 100!
Ground: Rhyperior, ROCK WRECKER!
Ice: Beartic, because it's a polar bear with an ICE BEARD!
Normal: Bouffalant, the afro bison. Need I explain?
Poison: Skuntank, comical cry.
Psychic: Xatu, I really like the design and name
Rock: Armaldo, due to its stats
Steel: Magnezone, its a UFO!
Water: Kingdra, because it's majestic like that

February 18th, 2013, 8:13 AM
I have three, but I'm starting to think four.

In no particular order:

Entei. It looks so beautiful and strong and lion-like. I hate most of the Pokemon movies, but the 3rd one with him in it was really cool. So particularly, I guess my favorite Pokemon would have to be Crystal Entei. It's pretty much all in the design, though. It just looks so perfect @[email protected]

Delcatty & Skitty. In my first playthrough of Mystery Dungeon, I was a Skitty and evolved into a Delcatty. I was around 10, and I was ridiculously attached to that game. So they're more nostalgia and attachment, but I do like they're designs, especially Skitty. Cute, simple, and kinda creative.

Shinx? I really love this little guy. He's so cute. I do think he's a bit... overdesigned, though. Still, he looks cute and apparently is based off of Kimba. <3

For me it's a tie between Cradily and Maractus. Two pretty under appreciated grass types. Cradily coz if his pretty whacky looks and fairly good defence and offence as well. Maractus coz she's a cactus. She looks pretty cuddly and friendly for a cactus. Not to mention that it can be a force of nature in the battlefield.

Personally, i love jolteon because i've had so many times when it comes down to jolteon and it'll dominate.

So, what's your favourite electric Pokemon?

March 8th, 2013, 5:24 AM
Pidgeot because it was my first level 100 pokemon back in Pokemon Red version.
Umbreon / Nyx looks so beatiful especially the shiny form, always in my party since gen 2.

March 8th, 2013, 4:06 PM
I love little Pichu and Pikachu and Raichu, by the way yes I did draw that.

March 8th, 2013, 8:23 PM
Ahh I used to change my favourite Pokemon every second minute. I used to be fond of Arcanine for a long time but then it lost all of the spark it had for me years ago, I don't know why. It's still a Pokemon I love though, although it isn't top dog anymore, you could say I suppose. Right now my current favourite is Minun, it isn't the greatest battler out there, I can understand that but its overall design is rather adorable. I like its playful nature in the anime and honestly I've once tried using it, wasn't half bad! I was expecting it to be rather worthless, but it proved me completely wrong. Also I have a figurine of it stashed away somewhere from years and years ago, so I guess you can say that adds to the fondness as well.

March 8th, 2013, 8:44 PM
Bug-Galvantula because I fell in love with it in White
Grass-The Bulbasaur line because they are my most favorite Pokemon evah
Poison-Toxicroak due to B.A. design
Ground-Marowak because of all the creepypasta centered around it
Rock-Golem because it can survive dynamite. THE POKEDEX SAID SO
Flying-Pidgeot because it was one of my trusty teammates in Leafgreen
Normal-Togekiss because of Metrenome spam
Electric-Magneton because I prefer it over Magnezone
Steel-Lucario because of deadly spikes poking out of it
Fighting-Machamp because multiple arms = win
Psychic-Gardevoir because of crossdressing. (Since it can sometimes be male)
Dark-Umbreon/Mightyena because I can't choose between them
Ice-Walrein because walrus are awesome
Water-Floatzel because of the life saving floatation device on its neck
Fire-Arcanine/Ninetails because I once again can't pick between two Pokemon
Ghost-Gengar because of a really epic battle against Lance in Leafgreen
Dragon-Dragonite because Dragonite is win

Please note, that my favorite Pokemon are subject to change at any given moment. OMGMUDKIPZ

March 17th, 2013, 7:15 AM
I think Overall i can say that my favorite pokemon is Timburr.

Many people think Timburr is ugly, but it's adorable in my opinion! Mine on my White version is one of the strongest pokemon in my team. Fighting types are my second-favorite type too.

Am I supposed to be doing some kind of format here with types..? .w.

Alpha King
March 17th, 2013, 11:57 AM
Let's see...

Dark - Houndoom. This thing is the coolest looking Pokemon they've ever introduced and it's strong and very fun to take with my team in the generations I have been able to use it (mostly just Platinum ;_;)

Water - Feraligatr. I cannot count how many times I've solo'd Crystal with this guy. He is just an incredible Pokemon and he looks so cool!

Poison - Crobat. This thing's speed is off the chart! And the fact that he evolves from annoying Pokemon, for some reason, makes me love it even more.

Ice - Weavile. Besides being my second favorite dark type, this is my favorite Ice type, because it's cool, fast, strong, and kind of creepy lol.

Fire - Houndoom lol. Arcanine is second tho for being fire beast.

Dragon - Druddigon. I've never been a huge dragon fan, but with BW brought my favorite BW Pokemon in Druddigon. Even if he looks odd, I love him and his sheer power.

Flying - Crobat again. Honchkrow is second for being a boss (for real)

Grass - Serperior. The classiest of all starters here and the most interesting imo. With low offensive stats, you'd wonder why someone would use this thing, but with great boosting moves in calm mind and coil, it's not hard to use this thing in-game.

Ground - Donphan. I remember the days I started to use this thing. I saw it in Silver and wanted it so badly that I used a Master Ball (I was an 8 year old mind you).

I have to think more about the others before I edit the list with more.

March 20th, 2013, 4:01 PM
...Is right next to you, and is REALLY angry. How much damage could it do before you/the police/the army can stop it?

March 20th, 2013, 5:15 PM
Probably around 100-120 damage depending on which one is around.

March 22nd, 2013, 4:31 AM
Salamence because he looks amazing, has amazing stats, and the fact he got me into the top 8 in the VGA Tournaments last year.

March 22nd, 2013, 4:34 AM
Tangrowth, because he could fit well into any team as a good Special Sweeper.

March 22nd, 2013, 6:00 AM
by far without a doubt, megnanium (sorry if i spelt it's name wrong)

but it was my favorite out of all the grass pokemon. back when i was still a kid (when the grass was green LOL) me and my two buddy's would always switch our starters. so when H, G came out, one of us took the water, one of us took fire, and other one took leaf.

For red and blue, i had charmander (THANK GOD) lol. for H, G, i had magnanium. so since then, always been my favorite grass type.

March 22nd, 2013, 3:39 PM
Let's likely say ..Few ....torn...off ..limbs maybe :D, So i'd say that's a pretty good amount of damage to say then XD

March 22nd, 2013, 9:42 PM
Not much... actually, I'm not sure it could do any damage, it's just a duck (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Farfetch'd) after all, and hardly a strong species.
Sure, the leek can have various elemental attributes when wielded, but it's still just a normal plant stem.

March 22nd, 2013, 9:56 PM
Hmm. Depends on if it knows V-Create or not. If it does, about 200 damage easily.

March 23rd, 2013, 12:48 AM
Not much really. Since it's a starter Pokemon (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Treecko_(Pok%C3%A9mon)) it's only got pretty much basic stats and attacks. Doesn't learn alot of grass-types before it evolves so the best it can do is use Quick Attack and Absorb. Absorb go do a good amount of damage , cause it probably would drain my energy down a bit. So I'd say about 20-50 damage maybe 75 or 80 at most.

March 23rd, 2013, 3:33 AM
My favorite Pokemon is Tropius, so I think it would be fair to say that it would cause a decent amount of damage before anyone could take it down ;; I mean it is a large dinosaur like Pokemon after all!

March 23rd, 2013, 3:57 AM
None. I mean, Celebi couldn't possibly be angry with me, right? Anyway, I'll scare it off with some bug move, say X-Scissor.

March 23rd, 2013, 4:22 AM
just like ★Hoenn★ said, i couldn't possibly imagine celebi, latios or latias being angry with me. they would most likely flee at ememy sight. I can imagine celebi going back in time before i was born to mess with my existance though.

Minato Arisato
March 23rd, 2013, 1:25 PM
Favorite Pokemon would be...Pikachu. Uh...because it's cute?

Haha, I'm so unoriginal...

March 23rd, 2013, 2:08 PM
Golurk. Come on, it's a ghost robot. How could it possibly get more awesome than that? Also crobat and absol, because they're just cool like that.

Yeah, I know I'm not funny :(

March 23rd, 2013, 4:38 PM
From childhood I have related to Cubone more than any other Pokemon.. I just wish I could hide under a skull sometimes. I also think the story of Cubone is just so... sad. I can't help but tear up. Plus, Marowak is pretty awesome.. if I could ever choose my own starter Pokemon, I would choose Cubone every time. :)

April 1st, 2013, 3:22 AM
My favourite is Bellsprout because he looks nice and friendly.

April 1st, 2013, 5:16 AM
Without a doubt it's Treecko! If you could tell by my current signature and avatar(go to my profile if you're looking at this on April Fools Day. You'll see and know who this is.). Ever since I saw when Gen III was just being released and I thought it was the coolest Pokemon ever. And I still do. It's so BA looking and it's also has the fastest speed of any unevolved starter. Plus when it evolves into Grovyle, it can learn Leaf Blade. And Grovyle/Sceptile + Leaf Blade is an awesome combo.

April 16th, 2013, 8:54 PM
Dark - Zoroark
Fire - Charizard
Dragon - Flygon
Ice - Weavile
Bug - Scizor
Steel - Aggron
Psychic - Mewtwo
Grass - Torterra
Rock - Gigalith
Ground - Rhyperior
Water - Kingdra
Fighting - Blaziken
Flying - Staraptor
Poison - Skunktank
Normal - Snorlax
Electric - Luxray
Ghost - Gengar

Well this are my favorite ones. :3

April 19th, 2013, 5:13 AM
From each Gen...

Gen 1 - Snorlax (Blocking your path!)
Gen 2 - Donphan (He's a tank, and elephants are pretty cool)
Gen 3 - Gardevoir (Was always fun to catch and raise a Ralts)
Gen 4 - Electivire (Used him in White 2, where I fell in love with him)
Gen 5 - Darmanitan (Just look at him, dude's a boss)
Gen 6 - To be determined

April 19th, 2013, 9:27 AM
Sceptile without a doubt is my number one. Sapphire was when Pokémon became my obsession and I couldn't have picked a better partner.
Okay okay so Blaziken has a type advantage and higher tier, what even of it.
And after him is Bulbasaur. I just like both of them for the memories we shared together.

April 19th, 2013, 9:54 AM
Cool topic! I've never thought about my favorite from each type...

Dark - Honchkrow: What a gangster, am I right? Not only are birds epic by nature, but this guy has a fedora. Pretty sure if pokemon were real, I'd have this guy, and we'd go to the casino together.

Fire - Camerupt: I love the dust that swirls when it drops into battle. I can see taking long rides through the country on its back, as long as those volcanoes were kept under control. What a beast.

Dragon - There's actually not one dragon type that I really, really like. I'd probably go with Vibrava because it's pretty cool looking.

Ice - Froslass: I always think it's really cool when pokemon evolve by gender. Have to make sure your Snorunt is female so you can get this icy lady. Seems like she'd be good to talk to, despite a cold personality.

Bug - Yanmega: I mean, is it a a dragonfly or a machine/helicopter? Looks like a cross between those. I can see threatening a bully with a dragonfly and them laughing, only to freak out when they see this beast come out.

Steel - Technically Magneton since it's now part steel, but I only think of it as electric. I'll say Durant, even though it's part bug. Durant is the coolest ant I've ever seen. Between Durant and Yanmega, I don't think people would mess with my bugs.

Psychic - Kadabra: Going old school here. Love the bent spoons, but you only need one (hear that Alakazam?). Two could prevent mobility and other attacks. Plus, who wants to have to trade their pokemon to get it to evolve?! Honorable mention to Natu/Xatu for being straight up cool and Gardevoir for being, well, Gardevoir.

Grass - Virizion: Taken me a long time to find a grass type that I really like, but found it in White 2. The combination of fighting solves two types I don't usually have. Another one I could see taking rides in the country side with.

Rock - Bastiodon: I can kind of see this guy as like an epic dog pet. It would be fun to have around the house and could keep you safe in a jam. Plus, use iron defense a few times and laugh as anybody tries to knock you out. Honorable mention to the amazing duo of Lunatone and Solrock <3 Just try to mess with me with the moon and the sun on my side.

Ground - Hippowdown: Come on, it's a hippo. One of the beastliest creatures in real life has to be a beastly pokemon.

Water - Kingler: One of my all time favorites, ever since the epic anime moment where he steamrolled through the first round of the Pokemon League. Hop on the big crab's back and travel the seven seas.

Fighting - Hitmonlee: Maybe it's the former soccer player in me, but I like that this guy kicks his way to victory.

Flying - Drifblim: Again, it's basically a hot air balloon people. There's not much cooler than that. Plus, it has ghostly tendencies. Too cool.

Poison - Muk: Another one I loved during the Pokemon League tournament. Only second to Kingler's epic run is the moment when Muk suffocates Bellsprout. Winner winner.

Normal - Ditto: So I can have any of my other favorites.

Electric - Magneton: My all time favorite. Love this guy. Tri-attack looks so cool. Brosef for life.

Ghost - Mismagius: Just a bad lady here. Is she a witch for Halloween? What's the story? We all want to find out, that's all I know.

April 19th, 2013, 12:17 PM
I only metioned ones that are a single type, I don't know why. xD

Normal - Eevee
Fire - Tepig
Water - Piplup
Grass - [/URL]Leafeon

April 20th, 2013, 9:06 AM
Normal-Ditto.I never really used it in my team, always at the daycare. But in one nuzlocke run,it saved my life against mortys gengar as it was my last pokemon.

Poison-Seviper.I mean,look at it.It looks dangerous.Clever.And that tail.Its awesome.

Steel-Wormadam(Trash cloak). Its not a good battler in my team but it just looks adorable.

Rock-Archeops.Hard choice. There are so many good rocks. But this one just looks amazing and if i keep its health above half,it kicks butt.

Ground-Gliscor.It looks awesome and it has good stats.

Electric-Eelektross.It is a good team pokemon and it looks awesome. When i first saw it i thought it was water type.I was wondering why the hell it wouldn't learn surf.XD

Fire-Emboar.At the beginning of black,i used to hate it and despise it.But in black 2,when i used it,i grew to love it cause he was sooooo strong!!!

Water-Dewgong.It just looks amazing but it is a bad choice for battling.

Grass-Liligant.This was a close call between megaium and liligant.Liligant just looks elegant. But if it has ability own tempo combined with petal dance, its unbeatable!!!!

Dark-Honchkrow.It looks like a boss. Its also an amazing looking bird with a FEDORA!!!

Fighting-Scrafty.It looks amazing and its powerful.I always catch a female scraggy and feel compelled to nickname it 'Kayla' for some reason.

Psychic-Gardevoir.How could you not love this amazing, beautiful and powerful thing??

Ghost-Mismagius.It is just awesome with a fedora.I always thought of it as honchkrows sister.I mean, it loos awesome!!

Ice-Weawile.It looks amazing.Another sibling of honchkrow and mismagius? It is just so badass.

Flying-Mandibuzz.It is Honchkrows rival!!!!Plus mandibuzzz just looks so awesome.

Bug-Ariados.It looks awesome and i use it in my team every chance i get.

Dragon-Hydreigon.It looks awesome,amazing stats,amazing typing.

April 20th, 2013, 10:09 AM
My Favorite Pokemon is Umbreon I just the way it looks. I think it has the best design of all the eeveelutions. it has one of the best shiny sprites. and it is really cute.

April 20th, 2013, 2:03 PM
Well... I'll start with water, because my absolute favorite Pokemon is my fave of this type!

Water: Vaporeon, because I love the water more than almost anything else. That and the fact that it resembles my second favorite real animal. (A cat of course.)

Fire: Darmanitan. I really was surprised that I like this one more than Ninetails. I love Foxes and I despise any Simian creatures. (Disgusting things, those lowlifes.) But it just seems to embody fire more than any other Pokemon I've seen.

I'm leaving out all the other types because I can't really think of anything to say about my other favorites. I mainly like them because of their Pokedex entries, or their looks, or the fact that they're so overpowered. Not much that is worth putting down on a forum. (Only because it would turn into a list instead of a description. When you guys can say why you like one because of it's design, it's usually an awesome post/Youtube comment/tweet.)

What your Best pokemon each type not legendary?

The best pokemon of each class in my opinion (looking not only their power but their appearance) is:

Fire : Magmortar (It's one of my favorite pokemons)
Water : Swampert (Their inmunity to electric atacks is cool with their design)
grass : Chikorita (I know she isn't powerful, but i love the chikorita of Ash XD)
electric: electivire (I agree with Fikri, their design is so intimidate and great power)
ice : Lapras (looks like Nessie, and good resistance)
Normal : Linoone (I change snorlax for linoone, because this last for his ability pick up and hm slave great work are always a important member in my in-game teams)
Fighting : Lucario (I agree again with fikri)
Psychic : Alakazam (One of my 2 most favorite pokemon). Its like Neo of matrix with the spoon)
Dark : Hydreigon
Ghost : Gengar (Great speed and attack)
Poison : Weezing (A lot of times save the team rocket to be captured)
Bug : Yamenga (Nice speed and attack)
Flying : Staraptor (True, great attack and speed)
Steel : Metagross (No doubts about this one)
Rock : Tyranitar (I think the same)
Ground : Marowak (With their bone, duplicate his power)
Dragon : Dragonite (One of the overrall more powerful pokemon, but mainly he's my other most favorite pokemon)

May 7th, 2013, 9:11 AM
@FIKRI 29: Excavalier is a steel type Pokemon, not a ground type...

Anyway, here's my list:
Normal: Zangoose.
Tied with Breloom for favorite Pokemon overall. It's like the perfect package of power and looks.
Flying: Dodrio
Ah, the badass looking bird. Stat-wise not the greatest out there, but he gets the job done.
Grass: Breloom
High attack, good looks, and a combination of my favorite moves & abilities has made Breloom one of my all-time faves.
This was a tough one to decide, in the end I just went with the one I used most. I don't really think I have to explain why he's awesome, right?
Water: I'm not even going to bother here, the list would be waaayyy too long. XD
Electric: Electabuzz
Yeah, I'm not a great fan of the majority of gen IV's new evolutions. Even though Electivire is by no means bad, in terms of both power and looks, I still prefer Electabuzz.
Ice: Walrein
Hmm, I never been too fond of the ice type. Mostly because half of my older teams were all weak to it. XD Loved Walrein and Lapras though. Still got that Team Aqua's Walrein card I got together with Pokemon Sapphire.
Bug: Leavanny/Heracross/Scizor/Ninjask
Can't choose =/
Rock: Archeops
There aren't many rock Pokemon out there which I'm particularly fond of, but damn, this one is pretty epic. His ability is a let-down, but y'know, you can't have it all. XD
Each of em got its own charms, I really can't choose.
Steel: Lucario
One of the most popular Pokemon out there. Like most others, it's the combination of power and looks that earned him a spot.
Fighting: Hitmontop Technically speaking, Breloom should be here on the list as well XD
The Flexible break-dancing brawler, he became an instant favorite the moment I saw him. XD Funny how I never actually raised one in-game... They are so hard to get...
Poison: Vileplume
Comes in as a second on my fave grass Pokemon list, I've always adored Vileplume. Rivals Breloom when it comes down to looks, too bad his offensive moveset isn't too great.
Dark: Houndoom
Alright, his defense may suck, but that's about it. XD The rest is shear awesomeness.
Psychic: Reuniclus/Grumpig
Another tie! While Reuniclus packs more power than Grumpig, I really can't choose between the two of them.
Ghost: Mismagius
Perhaps the only Sinnoh introduced evolution I really like.
Dragon: Haxorus
Power, swords + dragon dance and dem fangs make for another favorite.

Copy this, makes it easier for y'all to fill in.

My favorite non-legendary Pokemon of each type are largely on the same as my list as the ones that do include them, but nonetheless:

Bug - I always try and say that I don't have one favorite Pokemon, but if I did, it'd be Butterfree.
Dark - Umbreon, as it's probably my favorite of the Eeveelutions, and one of my favorite designed Pokemon.
Dragon - I don't really care for many non-legendary Dragon types, but I guess I'll go with Hydreigon.
Electric - This type usually flip-flops depending on my mood, but right now my favorite Electric type would be Rotom.
Fighting - While Fighting is it's secondary type, I have to put Heracross here since Butterfree takes up my Bug spot.
Fire - I can never decide if I like Ninetales or Arcanine more, so they'll have to share this spot.
Flying - Pidgeot, since it was always a staple on my teams in the earlier games.
Ghost - Gengar would probably be my #2 favorite Ghost type, but I'll put my favorite in another category.
Grass - Another tie, this one between Sceptile (one of my best starters to date), and Breloom (my first shiny Pokemon).
Ground - A type I rarely use, so I've got no real favorite. Dugtrio, Excadrill and Nidoking would probably me my top 3, in no particular order.
Ice - Froslass is easily my favorite Ice type, and was arguably my most useful Pokemon throughout the entire 4th gen.
Normal - Lots to choose from, but the Blissey in Emerald's Battle Factory helped cement it as my top Normal type.
Poison - Strangely, my #1 Poison Pokemon is already listed as my #2 Ghost Pokemon. I guess the runner-up Poison type would be Crobat.
Psychic - Unown, but definitely not for their usability in battles.
Rock - I would've put Aggron as my top Steel Pokemon, but I can't say there are many other Rock types that I care for, so it goes here.
Steel - Empoleon gets the nod here, as it was probably the strongest starter aside from Sceptile I can remember using.
Water - I've got two. Starmie, because it was the anchor of my FireRed team when I traded it over, and Magikarp- just because.

May 7th, 2013, 11:09 PM
Hm...so much choices, so much types, so little to pick...anyway, here goes.

Normal: Sawsbuck, it has a unique typing, and a good distribution of moves and stats.
Psychic: Reuniclus, it can take hits, and can return with full force...it's also rather cute c:
Ghost: Either Chandelure or Gengar, they're both awesome in terms of design and looks.
Steel: Magnezone, its unique typing serves it a good purpose, as I recall it resisting a whopping 12 types.
Rock: Well, if it was legendaries included, Terrakion would have this spot, but since legendaries aren't allowed, I'll go with Aggron. Its one hell of a powerhouse.
Water: Gyarados - it looks menacing, has impressive strength, and it's always mad.
Poison: Crobat, it's really fast, looks like a boss, and has a good movepool - as I say: "Gotta go fast".
Grass: I don't use this type a lot, so I'll go with Breloom. Its Grass/Fighting typing wrecks most Pokemon competitively, and who doesn't love mushroom/kangaroo things?
Ground: Krookodile - its name makes me think of a hoodlum (I guess it's Scrafty's bestie), and..well, it's a crocodile.
Fire: Darmanitan, it's a flaming monkey thing, with fire eyebrows. Cool stuff.
Ice: Mamoswine is one of my fav Ice types, since it's strong, bulky, and Dawn has one.
Flying: Easily Staraptor. It outclasses the other starting birds in my opinion, and was one of my staple Pokemon during my Platinum replay.
Bug: Volcarona is my favourite Bug-type, since it's a giant flame moth, and is said to have been related to sun deities...
Dark: Weavile is a really cool Dark-type, and my pick here, since it's a cunning weasel with good power in its attacks.
Electric: This spot goes to either Rotom or Jolteon...Rotom is a versatile Pokemon, as it has its different forms, my personal favourite being Wash Rotom. Jolteon's a fast, powerful and cool Pokemon, which served a main purpose during my first Platinum playthrough.
Dragon: The Hackersaurus! Haxorus is definitely a beastly Dragon-type, strong, and looking like a menacing Dragon-type (look at dem tusks), something you don't want to mess with.

Sweets Witch
May 10th, 2013, 6:45 PM
Wow, it's really difficult to pick.

Normal: Porygon-Z. I really love its animation and it's the only Normal type that I've used regularly in competitive play.
Flying: Staraptor, definitely. I've never gone a DPPt run without getting one because its power is so consistent through the game.
Grass: Lilligant. It's one of my favorite Pokemon of all time and I used to do decently when I battled with it.
Fire: Infernape. Infernape Infernape Infernape Infernape Infernape.
Water: Feraligatr, which is a close second for my favorite final evo of a starter behind Infernape Infernape Infernape.
Electric: Electivire or Rotom. We'll go with Electivire because I like to get physical.
Ice: Vanilluxe. [laughs hollowly]
Bug: Heracross and this will never change no matter how many Bug types are introduced.
Rock: Cradily, oddly enough. I used to love using Cradily.
Ground: Hippowdon. We made many gen 4 memories together.
Steel: Skarmory, I guess. I like using them in gen 3 but I've never used one in any other game.
Fighting: Infernape Infernape Infernape Inferna If we're counting secondary types, Gallade.
Poison: I like Skuntank a lot but Weezing is better.
Dark: Murkrow, both in-game and competitively.
Psychic: Mesprit. It's pretty flexible, but it doesn't specialize in offense or defense and that hurts it.
Ghost: Mismagius, but I never really learned how to use one effectively.
Dragon: No clue, really. I've probably used Flygon a lot more than any other, but I liked using Dragonite more.

Hm kinda awkward to be choosing Poison, Rock, and Ghost types considering I just posted about why I don't like them but...here we go:

Water: Kingdra - It's a Water/Dragon type...making it weak to almost nothing except Dragon.
Grass: Roserade - Albeit limited in its movepool, I like its Special attack stat, plus it's relatively quick on its feet.
Fire: Quilava - No, not Typhlosion. I like Quilava just because it's still lovable, before it evolves into this ferocious...um...badger? (iunno please don't hurt me)
Electric: Eelektross - Never really used many Electric-types but it is definitely the most memorable one, as it's weak to nothing due to its Ability.
Flying: Staraptor - Hm...too many to choose from but I definitely like its Attack compared to the rest of the regional birds.
Psychic: Gardevoir - Great Sp. Atk'er. I remember not using one in Emerald on my first playthrough of it, but every time after that I've used one.
Bug: Volcarona - Special Attacker once again, plus its type combo is very intriguing (Bug/Fire).
Ground: Torterra - It was my first starter (I played Pearl first), and even though it's weak to many types, I still like it.
Normal: Persian - Really, I have no idea. I never used Normal-types, but I found all of them to be okay. Persian fits my money-hoarding style (Pay Day!)
Ice: Walrein - Water typing offsets weakness to Fire and Steel (although it does add weakness to Grass and Electric). I also like its stats in general (even if it may be a bit slow).
Dark: Houndoom - It's a hellhound basically, and it's a relatively great Pokemon that I have on my team.
Dragon: Dragonite - Hard toss-up between Dragonite, Kingdra, and Garchomp but...Dragonite has a massive Attack stat, and balanced stats otherwise. Learns a multitude of moves, too.
Fighting: Lucario - Fighting + Steel...what a great type combo. Aura Sphere is nice as well.
Steel: Empoleon - With access to water and ice moves, I personally like Empoleon the most of all the Steel types.
Poison: I can't really choose one, I don't use them often. Although one exception would be Crobat. It's pretty decent as a Poison-type, regardless if I hated Poison-types or not. Toxicroak comes in at a close second. (Okay maybe I don't entirely hate Poison-types...)
Rock: Archeops - It's just a great physical sweeper. Its move pool is also pretty good.
Ghost: Meh....Gengar. I've never used Ghosts much. Shedinja comes in second

ELECTRIC - Electabuzz. Loves him as a Kid and still do!
FIGHTING - Blaziken. My faovrite Starter and the original Fire/Fighting Pokemon!!

Normal ~ :Wigglytuff -- YOOM-TAH!!

Fighting ~ Scraggy, the coolest of all the Pokemon. If you do not think Scraggy is champion cool, you
need to reconsider your lifestyle choices because wow. Get dunked.

Rock ~ Pupitar. I like Pupitar better than Tyranitar because, I mean, just look at it. Thing's hilarious.

Ground ~ Garchomp ~ ♩ Ground type is my favorite! ♥

Fire ~ Blaziken because wow I had one in Diamond and wow

Electric ~ Luxray! Electric is my least favorite type v-v

Water ~ Pelipper or Kabutops. Agh, another type I hate x~x

Dragon ~ Latias, she's pretty and graceful and has one of the better movies.

Psychic ~ Deoxys. Deoxys has the best movie. Plus something seems so inherently sad about Deoxys...

Grass ~ Celebi. Admittedly Pokemon 4ever is horrible but I liked it as a kid. Also Celebi is really cute.

Flying ~ Vespiquen... There are a lot of awesome flying types, but Vespiquen is well-thought out and has all those customized bee moves and the like, so she's special! ^_^

Ghost ~ Giratina, because it has capital awesome moves. Also Golurk.

Bug ~ Ledyba. You cannot put Ledyba on a Poke Walker and tell me it's not the most hilarious thing to watch waddle back and forth.

Ice ~ I recently recruited a Glaceon in PMD whom I named Galaxy. So I'll say Glaceon.

Poison ~ Skuntank, not sure why.

† Excepting Scraggy, of course.

BUG - http://www.serebii.net/pokedex-bw/evo/284.png It's the cutest and knows good moves.

DARK - http://www.serebii.net/blackwhite/pokemon/461.png It's typing is cool and its style, idea and appearance is awesome.

DRAGON - http://www.serebii.net/blackwhite/pokemon/384.png It's the most epic dragon.

ELECTRIC - http://www.serebii.net/blackwhite/pokemon/025.png Call me boring, but Pikachu will always be great to me.

FIGHTING - http://www.serebii.net/blackwhite/pokemon/392.png Blaziken was great but Infernape makes for an even more badass fire/fighter, being a monkey.

FIRE - http://www.serebii.net/blackwhite/pokemon/005.png Almost as cute as Charmander and almost as cool as Charizard. The best of two worlds and the best lizard and I think best starter also, imo.

FLYING - http://www.serebii.net/blackwhite/pokemon/227.png Almost tied with Pidgeot and Braviary. Skarmory is just a bit too awesome to have in Ruby to not be my favorite.

GHOST - http://www.serebii.net/blackwhite/pokemon/094.png There are some pretty nice ghosts, but Gengar is the original and best Kellogg's Cornflakes

GRASS - http://www.serebii.net/blackwhite/pokemon/470.png A cat/dog thingy that can throw leaves and stuff, squeeee!

GROUND - http://www.serebii.net/blackwhite/pokemon/105.png I've always loved Marowak's design and style.

ICE - http://www.serebii.net/blackwhite/pokemon/615.png I like its design and it was really fun to use in a RP :D The chains are useful.

NORMAL - http://www.serebii.net/blackwhite/pokemon/335.png Was my main battling pokémon every dime I played Ruby. I liked it in the anime as well.

POISON - http://www.serebii.net/blackwhite/pokemon/034.png He was nice to have in Yellow and among the various pokémon who shares the body shape with him, Nidoking is the best looking one I think.

PSYCHIC - http://www.serebii.net/blackwhite/pokemon/439.png It's extremely cute and has a lot of great attacks.

ROCK - http://www.serebii.net/blackwhite/pokemon/526.png If you'd want only one rock type, this should be it. It's a titan.

STEEL - http://www.serebii.net/blackwhite/pokemon/212.png This fighter is probably many people's favorite in one way or another, because its design is great for a bug and it's strong.

WATER - http://www.serebii.net/blackwhite/pokemon/120.png Always liked its design, even though I found the Poliwhirls more useful in the games, where Staryu was a glass cannon. Liked it better than Starmie, even though its evo was much stronger.

June 19th, 2013, 3:38 AM

Pokémon Silver was my first game and when I caught Lugia, our eyes met and we knew we were meant to be together. the moment was too much to bare this was it, this creature was the one for me.

Just the looks the power and nature of Lugia, and the Anime topped it all off for me.

I'm surprised I've never replied to this, but anyway...

Normal - http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/9/93/Spr_5b_052.png - This has made me realise how bad the normal type pokémon really are on average. I could've picked many normal/flying pokémon over Meowth, but I don't count them.

Fire - http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/0/01/Spr_5b_157.png - No question, my favourite pokémon of all. There are a lot of great fire types I like, but unfortunately none stand a chance with Typhlosion among them.

Fighting - http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/8/86/Spr_5b_057.png - Despite there not being as many Fighting Pokémon as some other types, there are a lot of cool choices such as the Machop and Timburr evo lines. Primeape is among my top 5 pokémon overall though so it has no real competition among its type.

Water - http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/6/60/Spr_5b_258.png - This was a tough choice as there are no stand outs among the type imo, but I think Mudkip is probably my favourite. I like its design and it served me well in the R/S/E era.

Flying - http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/8/8a/Spr_5b_018.png - Similar to Primeape and Typhlosion, Pidgeot is my one of my overall favourites so no real question here. All of the early birds are cool except Unfezant though.

Grass - http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/7/76/Spr_5b_001.png - It's tough not to pick Ivysaur which I like pretty much equally to Bulbasaur, but I'll hand it to Bulbasaur due to its role in the animé setting it apart. A lot of other cool choices such as Meganium or Victreebel could've been picked, but I just love the Bulbasaur line that bit extra.

Poison - http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/a/af/Spr_5b_454_m.png - I was almost tempted to hand this to Victreebel due to the lack of choice among pokémon who have Poison as their primary type, but I remembered the major role Toxicroak played for me on Platinum and decided otherwise.

Electric - http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/d/d0/Spr_5b_026_m.png - It's tough to exclude Zapdos and Jolteon, but Raichu is my second favourite overall and therefore takes it. While I have used all three for similar amounts of time in the games, I slightly prefer Raichu's design over that of the other two. Pikachu is nothing in comparison to its evolution.

Ground - http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/e/ed/Spr_5b_383.png - There's not a greal deal of choice among this type imo, but I'm happy to pick Groudon as my first game was Ruby. Hopefully we'll see some remakes so I can have him in my team again soon.

Psychic - http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/7/73/Spr_5b_150.png - There are a lot of cool choices, but for someone who had the first film on video as one of his first Pokémon experiences, there's no other choice than Mewtwo. He's just too badass and I love his backstory, something which few pokémon receive.

Rock - http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/5/5c/Spr_5b_248.png - This really is a poor type to pick from. I've never even used Tyranitar in a game if it helps to put into context how bad the choice really was. I like Tyranitar, but not great amounts.

Ice - http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/7/7b/Spr_5b_144.png - Once again not much choice, but I'm happier picking Articuno than I was picking Tyranitar.

Bug - http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/7/7c/Spr_5b_012_m.png - Though there is a lot more Bug types than Rock or Ice, I still don't really like many of them. Butterfree is probably within my top ten favourite pokémon which makes it a really easy choice among this type.

Dragon - http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/9/96/Spr_5b_149.png - There was a lot of choice here, the only Dragon type I don't like is Vibrava (which only has it as a secondary type so I wouldn't have picked it for this type anyway). Dragonite is the original dragon though, it's the best design and it's just the overall coolest. The fact it still remains decent competitively five generations later is cool as well.

Ghost - http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/2/21/Spr_5b_094.png - This was pretty much between Gengar and Giratina as there aren't many cool Ghosts. Giratina's altered forme doesn't look very good though, so I give it to Gengar.

Dark - http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/c/c0/Spr_5b_571.png - I pick Zoroark mainly due to the role it played for me on Black 2, but its design is pretty cool as well. I could have picked Darkrai or Weavile, but I haven't had the chance to use them as often.

Steel - http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/1/1a/Spr_5b_638.png - This is like a mix of my last two choices, it was only between Cobalion and Dialga and I picked Cobalion due to what it did for me on Black 2. I also narrowly prefer its design to Dialga's.

Fairy - http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/2/20/Spr_5b_282.png - Obviously this will change as more Fairy species are announced, but Gardevoir is by far the coolest among those announced so far.

Normal - Regigigas
Fire - Charizard
Water - Gyarados
Electric - Raikou
Grass - Victreebel
Bug - Heracross
Rock - Kabutops
Ground - Donphan
Ice - Jynx
Flying - Lugia
Poison - Nidoking

Ghost - Haunter
Dark - Houndoom
Steel - Metagross
Dragon - Kingdra
Fairy - Marill, but really (Azumarill?)

June 24th, 2013, 10:29 PM
Heracross because of the life he brought into the Bug type and being the Greatest ever, his typing is unique and his STAB Megahorn hets work done

July 7th, 2013, 4:04 PM
I'm gonna try and use the Pokémon's dominant type...

Normal - Blissey. A true tank on my team, and my favourite Pokémon that I've done the Lvl 100 grind for.
Fire - Charizard. I kinda inherited this from my brother, who was always a huge Charizard fan. I've always envied that shiny Charizard card he had...
Fighting - Machamp. Just a cool Pokémon to look at. :3
Water - Gyarados or Lapras, just strong Pokémon that always seem to have a place in my party.
Flying - Pidgeot. My go-to flying type.
Grass - Don't really care for it... But I've always liked Venusaur.
Poison - Crobat. Definitely worth having to level a Zubat/Golbat...
Electric - Ampharos, but I've always had a soft spot in my heart for Raichu.
Ground - Dugtrio. Always one of my go-to early game Pokémon.
Psychic - Espeon. I love Espeon and Umbreon, two of my alltime favourite Pokémon in general.
Rock - Tyranitar. If I play with my all Dark party, he's a great component for it.
Ice - Delibird. Sentimental value. :3
Bug - Heracross (The bug boss!) or Butterfree. Not a big fan of bugs, either, but still nice Pokémon to use casually.
Dragon - Rayquaza. My second favourite Pokemon of all time, right behind...
Ghost - Gengar! My all-time favourite. Something about him... His trickery, tomfoolery, cunning personality... Love him. :]
Dark - Umbreon. Beautiful and majestic!
Steel - Steelix or Aron. Steelix for power, Aron for cuteness.
Fairy - Marill. By process of elimination...

July 14th, 2013, 10:23 PM
My favorite Pokémon is definitely Hydreigon, why you may ask.. Because dark and dragon are my favorite types:)

July 15th, 2013, 3:29 AM
Normal: Lillipup. It's a puppy!!! I really love dogs, especially cute ones. This one definitely hits the spot. <3
Fire: Argh...this one is hard. Dilemma hard. I have a lot of favourite Fire-types: Cyndaquil, Chandelure and Volcarona being among them, but I must choose. Uhhh........ Cyndaquil.
Fighting: Lucario. It has been a very powerful and valuable member of my White 2 team and has never failed me once.
Water: Lanturn. One of the most adorable Water-type Pokemon I've ever seen. :3
Flying: Crobat. This bat with Acrobatics makes it a strong fighter on the field.
Grass: Leafeon. It's one of the most adorable Eeveelutions in my opinion.
Poison: Crobat (again). It's the only Poison-types I've ever trained to become part of many of my main teams.
Electric: Eelektross. It has no weaknesses. No other Electric-type can beat that yo, not even with Magnet Rise. Plus it learns Flamethrower.
Ground: Garchomp. Ground + Dragon make a great combo.
Psychic: Starmie. I know this is better categorized as a Water-type, but this SuperStar totally rocks my world.
Rock: Carracosta. Because I like turtles. Turtles are cool.
Ice: Spheal. Little ball of ice and fur!
Bug: Joltik. This tiny shockingly cute electric bug really puts a smile on my face! :3
Dragon: Hydreigon. Who can resist the Dragon of the Dark??
Ghost: Drifloon. A ghost balloon surely can't be this cute?
Dark: Zorua. It is one of the very first Gen 5 Pokemon I've ever known.
Steel: Metagross. Well, pseudo-legendaries always somehow attract me. :P
Fairy: Swirlix. TOO CUTE TO RESIST.

July 21st, 2013, 6:45 PM
Normal: Dunsparce, it's so cute and underappreciated.
Fire: Charmander, it's the first pokemon I ever used.
Fighting: Machoke, It's just awesome.
Water: Mudkip, I heard you liek them
Flying: Skarmory, this thing is just such a cool concept
Grass: Bulbasaur, It's so adorable
Poison: Arbok/Seviper, I love snakes
Electric: Manectric, I'm a die-hard dog person
Ground: Nidoking, he can learn all kinds of moves.
Psychic: Slowpoke, His mindlessness is so funny
Rock: Anorith, it's typing is interesting to say the least
Ice: Froslass, it has an awesome cry
Bug: Ariados, cool design
Dragon: Salemence, coolest-looking dragon type EVER
Ghost: Banette, so ugly it's almost cute
Dark: Umbreon, The yellow rings on its body are adorable
Steel: Skarmory (again)

July 23rd, 2013, 3:35 PM
Bug: Leavanny
Leavanny's actually about as close to a pure dual type as a pokemon can get - I use it almost equally for Bug attacks and Grass attacks. Even with that though, it's still my favorite Bug - Bug Bite is perfect for its earlier, more defensive evos, then just when it needs it for pure offense, it gets X Scissor (not to mention Swords Dance)

Honorable mentions: Scyther, Pinsir, Escavalier, Ninjask, Crustle...

Dark: Absol
Absol is the specific reason I wanted to see a physical/special split and was excited when GF said they were going to do it. It was just so frustrating to have all that Attack plus Swords Dance but no STAB to use it with. Now that it's got access to physical STABs, it's everything I'd hoped it'd be. And I just love the yin/yang motif.

Honorable mentions: Cacturne, Shiftry, Umbreon, Mandibuzz, Weavile, Houndoom...

Dragon: Kingdra
Honestly, I'm just not that big a fan of Dragons. They're okay, but their lack of SE attacks (except against themselves) is sort of irking. Kingdra has a tremendous typing though - one of the few cases in which, IMO, adding Dragon to a dual typing definitely improves it.

Honorable mentions: Salamence, Axew, Hydreigon...

Electric: Luxray
A sentimental favorite. The very first pokemon I caught in the first gen IV game I played, Diamond, was a Shinx. It went all the way to the E4 with me, and I catch and use one pretty much every chance I get. Yeah - it could do with a bit better stats and movepool, but it's still my favorite.

Honorable mentions: Jolteon, Galvantula, Magneton/Magnezone, Rotom...

Fighting: Scrafty
Tough decision - I use a lot of fighting types, and like most of them. Scrafty wins out though for a great combination of design, abilities, movepool, typing and stats.

Honorable mentions: Mienshao, Breloom, Heracross, Gallade, Hariyama, Poliwrath...

Fire: Chandelure
Great design and hits like a nuclear bomb.

Honorable mentions: Houndoom, Infernape, Camerupt, Volcarona, Charizard...

Flying: Crobat
This is probably the only one that's pretty much no contest. There are a few other Flyers that I like, but there's just nothing that even begins to really compare to the mighty Crobat. A near-perfect combination of speed, power and bulk.

Honorable mentions: Sigilyph, Braviary, Staraptor, Scyther, Ninjask...

Ghost: Golurk
Somehow, Ghosts have just never appealed to me that much. I actually like pretty much all of them, but I just don't use them very often. Of the lot though, my fave has to be Golurk - I would've never conceived of a ghost/ground mecha, but that's exactly what one should look like. And I love its movepool.

Honorable mentions: Rotom, Mismagius, Chandelure, Banette

Grass: Lilligant
I love Grass types, and it's really hard to pick a favorite actually, but Lilligant wins. She's just so perfectly designed - she's like an aging Southern belle - pretty and charming and utterly vicious.

Honorable mentions: Victreebel, Breloom, Shiftry, Ludicolo, Cacturne, Leafeon, Ferrothorn, Torterra, Roselia/Roserade, Leavanny, Tropius...

Ground: Torterra
Another tough choice, but Torterra wins out for having that awesome secondary typing, and just for being a turtle with a tree on its back.

Honorable mentions: Excadrill, Krookodile, Marowak, Mamoswine, Rhydon, Camerupt...

Ice: Mamoswine
Love the design - love the typing. Ice and Ground is one of the best offensive combinations available, so STABs in both is tremendous.

Honorable mentions: Weavile, Lapras, Froslass...

Normal: Bouffalant
One of the few genuinely scary Normal types, and it just looks great.

Honorable mentions: Sawsbuck, Dunsparce, Togekiss, Girafarig, Snorlax, Kangaskhan...

Poison: Seviper
Easily my least favorite type, but Seviper's pretty good all in all, and has a great design.

Honorable mentions: Umm... Skuntank, Scolipede...

Psychic: Gardevoir
Still my favorite after all these years. I always wanted a Psychic who was just a bit bulkier than Zam, and Gard delivered. There's been an explosion of good Psychics since then, but it's still my fave.

Honorable mentions: Reuniclus, Gothitelle, Sigilyph, Alakazam, Xatu, Girafarig...

Rock: Rampardos
If I'm going to use a Rock type, I want one that hits as hard as possible, and Rampardos does exactly that.

Honorable mentions: Rhydon, Armaldo, Crustle, Aerodactyl...

Steel: Metagross
Never really been a big fan of Steel types, but Metagross is just a great design.

Honorable mentions: Escavalier, Ferrothorn, Magneton/Magnezone, Aggron...

Water: Lapras
A really tough choice, but it's just been a favorite for so long now. I know I can always count on it, and it just seems so friendly, y'know?

Honorable mentions: Vaporeon, Starmie, Kingdra, Milotic, Ludicolo, Swampert, Carracosta...

July 24th, 2013, 3:26 PM
Hm, Let's see if I can name them, shall we?

Grass- Nuzleaf- I've always thought the design was adorable, and the 'tough-kid' aura it radiates makes is so lovable.

Fire- Charmander or Ninetails- I'm one for simplicity and adorability, and Ninetails and Charmander have a huge tug of war for my favorite spots in the Fire category. Ninetails story is captivating, as well as its magestic design, but Charmander is an adorable, simple classic.

Water- Milotic- Grace and beauty usually don't get a pokemon on my list, but Milotic and the fact it evolves from such an overlooked Pokemon gives it a special place, much like the story of the ugly duckling.

Electric- Not Pikachu, Flaaffy- Flaaffy is a cute, fluffy little electric SHEEP. I think it's adorable, and it isn't very noticeable, which is another reason I like it~

Psychic- Latias- Now, I'm sort of cheating, as I'm using it's secondary type instead of its primary, because I have another Dragon baby, but I love Latias, too. It's relationship with Latios always warms my heart, and I love it's bubbly, playfull personality, too.

Ice- Dewgong- Once again, the secondary cheat. I love Dewgong because it's pretty adorable, who wouldn't love that derpy little face? It's also quite majestic looking, with it's ruffled fins and I love it's colors and horn, too.

Dragon- Haxorus- It's a gorgeous, powerful creature that I respect, and it's very unique. I've never seen a dragon with axes on it's face, and I must say I was quite impressed with this Pokemon, which is why I find it so attractive.

Dark- Zoroark- I know this is a fairly popular and somewhat hard to battle with, but the design and abilities it has appeals to me in one way or another. I really like how cool and gorgeous it is.

Fairy- ???- I'm fairy-ly mad about this sudden type addition, mostly because of the fact it changes some Pokemon's typing and how simply uncreative and pointless the addition seems to me...pardon me for seeming rude, but I'm not all that impressed with Nintendo on this decision.

Normal- This is a hard one- I don't have a specific Pokemon for this type, as there are so many normal type's I am fond of, such as Purugly, Zangoose, Eevee and Lickitung.

Fighting- Lucario- Another fan favorite, I like it's design and it's story. It has an amazing ability to see others aura's, which it uses to help as much as it can. It's usually a stoic Pokemon, but it really cares about others and I admire it.

Flying- Drifloon or Noctowl- Both are admirable Pokemon, I love Drifloon for it's cute, innocent loneliness and its story. I also love Noctowl because it's design is simple and complex, it's intellect and the fact its an owl.

Poison- Skuntank- Skuntank is a fairly overlooked Pokemon who I actually find quite cute and misunderstood. From what I understand, they are quite loyal and kind, and just because they use something that smells gross to protect themselves doesn't mean they're a bad thing.

Ground- Cubone- I admire this poor Pokemon for obvious reasons. It's sad past and how strong it is for overcoming such sadness, along with surviving on its own, is enough to make me admire it fully.

Rock- Aerodactyl- It's a very cool, simple design that attracts my eye, as well as it's strength and determination.

Bug- Kricketune- I have always admired this Pokemon because of it's cute, musician design and lovely, melodic it's cry. It also has a mustache ^w^

Steel- Mawile- A cute, deceiving Pokemon who teaches us that looks don't define someone. It's design and how it lives fascinates me and makes it a favorite.

and finally:

Ghost- Chandelure and Banette- I simply cannot choose between my children. I love all ghost types, but these two have always been special to me. Chandelure is a majestic, hypnotic Pokemon, and I find it beautiful in every way, even how it uses other's life energy to care for itself and the younger Litwick. Banette is a misunderstood, beautiful Pokemon, whom was thrown away by whom it loved and incarnated out of vengeance and sadness. I always feel sympathy to this Pokemon, as all it really wanted was to be loved.

my favorite Pokemon is swampert

it's quite a strong Pokemon with good movepool. I like it's colour scheme very much. it's immunity to electric type is also useful in game. It's earlier evolutions are also very good. Also i like it's muscular body. I used it in R,S and E and I also have one in my party in Pokemon black 2 which I am playing now.

Most of my favourites are based on nostalgia or design;

Normal: Lopunny - Like its design, its cute.
Fire: Typhlosion - Cyndaquil/Quilava/Typhlosion was my first pokemon.
Fighting: Blaziken - Not much of a fighting type fan, but it was my favourite of the fire/fighting type starters.
Water: Blastoise - Like its design, favourite kanto starter.
Flying: Pidgeot - First pokemon I raised to lv 100, used it in many teams, not the best normal/flying type by far but will always be my favourite.
Grass: Bayleef - Cool design
Poison: Bulbasaur - Not really a poison type fan but Bulbasaur has a cool design and is the first pokemon in the national pokedex.
Electric: Raichu - Cool design.
Ground: Swampert - My first gen 3 starter and the oldest pokemon I still have, always keep my Swampert from Ruby on my main game of the current generation.
Psychic: Mew - My favourite pokemon.
Rock: Tyranitar - Not much of a rock type fan but Tyranitar is really useful, can learn losts of good moves.
Ice: Lapras - Like its design, looks so calm and peaceful.
Bug: Butterfree - Not much of a bug type fan but Butterfree is cute.
Dragon: Dragonite - Love dragon types, Dragonite is cute and powerful.
Ghost: Froslass - Cool design and typing.
Dark: Umbreon - I like moonlight, night-time and eeveelutions.
Steel: Lucario - Not much of a steel type fan but Lucario has a cool design.

Infinite Latios
July 25th, 2013, 3:08 PM
Normal: Togepi. Just look at it. It's so cute.
Fire: Victini. Powerful and cute.
Fighting: Lucario. Isn't Lucario everyone's favorite Fighting type?
Water: Um... Oshawott. I don't really like most of the Water-type Pokemon.
Flying: Salamence.
Grass: Chikorita. Chikorita will always have a very special place in my heart for being my first Pokemon.
Poison: Hmm... This one is hard. I really like Poison types. I'm going to go with... Poison-Arceus, for being the only Poison-type legendary so far.
Electric: Pikachu, obviously.
Ground: Hmm... Not a lot of cool Ground-types out there. Camerupt, I guess? It's a walking volcano.
Dragon: Latios, of course. Latios is awesome.
Rock: I don't like any Rock-types. If I had to pick one, it would be Geodude. Just because it's so easy to beat.
Ice: Articuno. It was my first legendary.
Psychic: Since I already said Latios... Latias. I really like that duo.
Ghost: Giratina. Its Origin Forme is awesome.
Dark: Darkrai. It's fun to spam Dark Void.
Steel: Heatran. I like its Signature Move.

Spoilering because its huge.

I really like Porygon2. What more could you want than a cute little remote-control like duck, with the ability to shoot thunderbolts, ice beams and keep itself healthy? Porygon2 also has unbelievable defenses and can easily take hits. Not only is it a valuable asset to competitive battling, I have a lot of fun using it in-game as well! It really is a great Pokemon. Was quite hard choosing as I like almost every normal-type though. Runner up goes to Zangoose for being incredibly badass.

Arcanine! My favourite Pokemon out of all 649. I can't really tell you why I like it, I've always loved Officer Jenny so I guess a tiny bit of love comes from that. The design though is incredible, just look at that tiger-fused lion thing! Also the species name of 'legendary pokemon' implies that it could of fitted perfectly as a legendary Pokemon. I wouldn't be surprised if it was turned into one eventually, with those stats, it really makes huge dents. All in all though, I love Arcanine. Favourite Pokemon of all time. :)

Fighting is an interesting type, their attacks can really blow you away if you're not careful. I never took too much interest in them, but I do like Hitmontop. Its very useful in terms of utility and it has a nice design at least in my opinion. But its not just all Rapid Spin and showing off its tricks, it can really inflict a lot of damage to unprepared teams.

Slowbro! That thing is impossible not to love. With such a derpy face and good-nature, it makes for a great party member. Sure its slow as heck, but speed isn't everything. Slowbro can take even the biggest of hits pretty well and it has its own tricks with moves like Calm Mind and Scald. Even if you don't look at it from a competitive aspect, who doesn't love that derpy design?

Ca cawwww! I would of thought flying types would all just be little birds perched in trees, but I definitely was wrong. I have a lot of fast and furious favourites out there, but I'd say my vote goes to nothing other than the most adorable thing out there- Drifloon! Look at that cheeky balloon, its not just looks, it can really annoy you. Destiny Bond, Will-o-Wisp, what doesn't this little prankster have up its sleeves? I really like flying-types though and some notable mentions are Aerodactyl, Pidgeot and Crobat.

Chikorita! Its adorable. Enough said. That and it has access to useful moves and the fact that you can get it right off the bat is great. Who doesn't love Chikorita? Look at those innocent eyes and you'll love it. I also really like Venusaur, it just has that spark about it that makes it likeable. Finally, Swadloon. Just... incredibly... derpy. <3;

Stunky, yeahhhh! It fits the role of being a great poison-type, with a good typing that gives it a few immunities and makes it almost impossible to take down. With good speed and hard-hitting attacks to match, its hard not to like. Sure its based off one of the most foul creatures in the world, but its still adorable in my eyes. Be careful around Stunky though, if you turn your back on it that's just calling danger. Overall though Stunky is a deadly and fun Pokemon to use on any team.

Electric: I'm not gonna raichu a reason for my next ch- I mean, Magneton! Look at that thing. Its just so simple, yet incredibly amazing. I love its defensive typing and the things that it can do. Plus magnets are cool. Enough said. Honorable mention goes to the fast and quick-paced Jolteon though.

Donphannnn! Look at thing, charge. Good Pokemon, nice bulk and very useful. Although I mainly like it for its design, elephants have always been one of my favourite animals. Plus it kinda reminds me of Lion King for some reason, not sure why though. I also really like Quagsire though, incredibly cute.

Sigilyph. That thing is deadly with Cosmic Power and Stored Power. Full stop. It can wreck teams, has a very interesting concept and is a fun Pokemon to work with. It has saved me out of so many tough situations and I'm incredibly grateful for that! Thanks Sigilyph you're a true hero. You're like my Harry Potter... I guess. Magical and cool. Yeah. :]

Aerodactyl! Hard-hitting without the burden of Defeatist, it just rips through everything. Plus dinosaurs are badass, enough said. That being said its my favourite fossil Pokemon and is an absolute pleasure to use. Would put it on my team, any day.

Snover all the way! Who doesn't love a Pokemon that can summon hail permanently with a cute appearance to match? Its just so cute and I've always loved it for its personality in PMD.

Forretress. I didn't think it'd be my cup of tea, but the puns you can make out of it, its usefulness, resistances, immunities and more makes it an amazing Pokemon. Plus that design is cute. Although I arguably also love Scizor, so its a tie between the two.

Not the biggest fan of dragons as I find them way too overpowered but I love Latias for its gentle and loving nature, plus design.

Rotom! Such a unique, little Pokemon that can electrify you. The idea of it changing forms is already badass enough but it has such nice stats and a good movepool. It can be an irritating trickster that's also hard to get around and plus its design is adorable. I've always loved Rotom and it sits as one of my favourite Pokemon.

Houndoom! Mainly for nostalgia, it was my first favourite Pokemon and my highest levelled in any game. It helped me a lot when I played and I still treasure it to this day. Thanks for the memories Houndoom, you're amazing. I still remember my eight-year old nicknames for it and the adventures we had. Houndoom is a beast. Fear it. :)

Scizor! Choice banded Scizor really makes huge holes in any team and its almost impossible to stop. A good typing as well also makes it likeable. Plus look at that badass face, it looks like it means war and won't stop until it goes down. A sign of a truly badass Pokemon.

Ok here goes... :) Hope it's not too long.

Normal: Meowth- I love cats, and when I was younger and watching the anime Team Rocket always made me smile, especially Meowth! They were prob the highlight of watching the show for me :) I know some people probably think Meowth's dub voice is annoying but I don't care if he sounds like Gilbert Gottfried with a New York accent I still love him <3
Fire: Arcanine- I was always intrigued by the fact that Arcanine was considered a "legendary" pokemon but at the same time it wasn't grouped with the rest of them.
Fighting: Poliwrath- It's one of the few pokemon that can learn Fissure (which rocks) and it looks like a Poliwhirl on steroids xD
Water: Swampert- It evolves from cutie pie Mudkip and I like the combo of Water/Ground
Flying: Swablu- My mom always thought Pokemon was weird and would always comment on it when I was younger, so when she said she actually liked Swablu and thought it was cute.. I considered it a victory :3
Grass: Leafeon- I like Eeveelutions and Grass types, what more can I say?
Poison: Nidoqueen- I used her on the road to the E4 in my original Blue version game.. first pokemon besides a starter that I trained to level 100.
Electric: Raichu - Lt. Surge has one, so Raichu is a baws. Also, the curls on it's ears make me think of earrings, so Raichu reminds me of an electric guitar player in a rock band by that logic.
Ground: Rhydon- HORN DRILL, nuff said
Psychic: Mew - Sooo cute and seriously the most mysterious pokemon out there. I love a good mystery :)
Rock: Kabuto- Those little red eye... thingys on it's stomach.
Ice: Froslass- It's modeled after a Yuki-onna and I love Japanese Mythology
Bug: Butterfree- It's so cute! And the anime episode of "Bye, Bye Butterfree" was just beautiful ;_;
Dragon: Dragonite- Powerful, but with a cute face
Ghost: This was a hard choice.. but I pick Gastly due to nostalgic reasons again.. "The Ghost of Maiden's Peak" was, and still is my all time favorite Pokemon anime episode. And Gastly was a total troll in that episode xD
Dark: Umbreon- It grew on me after Pokemon Colosseum.
Steel: Steelix- I like the design :3
Fairy: Hope it's not too soon to say... but I think Sylveon is adorbs <3

August 13th, 2013, 12:02 PM
mew is my faveourite legendary pokemon ever since the first movie i like its background and its really cute and blastoise and butterfree are my faveourite pokemon first pokemon i had from pokemon blue.

August 13th, 2013, 5:07 PM
I don't think I can narrow it down to just one on some types...

Bug - Scizor, Heracross and Volcarona
Dark - Houndoom, Umbreon,
Dragon - Dragonite, Salamence, Garchomp and Hydreigon
Electric - Electivire
Fighting - Lucario
Fire - Arcanine
Flying - Noctowl
Ghost - Gengar and Banette
Grass - Roserade
Ground - Nidoking/queen and Flygon
Ice - Glalie
Normal - Snorlax and Ursaring
Poison - Crobat
Psychic - Alakazam and Gallade
Rock - Tyranitar
Steel - Steelix and Skarmory
Water - Gyarados, Milotic, Cloyster, Octillery and Kingdra

August 19th, 2013, 8:19 PM
Normal: Ditto, cutest pokrmon and has my favorite gimmick. I've always been intrigued by shapeshifting. One of my top 10 favorites
Fire: Torchic, always always my hoenn starter and just the most adorable fire type pokemon <3
Fighting: Poliwrath, never stood out to until one day I used a team of bug type pokemon but needed a water type (in a heartgold playthrough) for surf and stuff. I used poliwag seeing that it was the most bug-like water type available. BEST DECISION OF THAT ENTIRE GAME. I literally fell in love with this pokemon. Best fighting type ever
Water: Squirtle, completely for adorableness and the fact that it was my first pokemon ever and will always have a special place in my heart. One of my top 10
Flying: Ninjask, super fast, super cool, and super cute. One of my top 10 favorites, and I definitely use it a lot and I love it.
Grass: Roserade, I caught a cute budew in my Platinum version and just could not resist using it. Roserade become my major beauty and smart contest pokemon and one of the strongest pokemons on my team. It is definitely amazing. One of my top 10
Poison: Nidoking - my favorite pokemon, I think he is just a the coolest thing ever and I just simply adore him. I always try to have one and I even have a nidoking necklace
Electric: Raichu - My second favorite Pokemon of all time, and is the pokemon I identify most with. Most people at conventions were refer to me as raichu because I cosplay raichu (and they call me it, even when I'm not cosplaying it). The electric type is something I really identify with in general (cosplaying multiple electric type specialists as well including Lt. Surge)
Ground: Sandslash, my favorite animal is an armadillo, something very similar to sandslash and more so its pre-evolution Sandshrew. I've always found this to be a super tough and super cute pokemon, and honestly it's toughest competition is its pre-evolution Sandshrew (both of which are in my top 10 favorites). Although they do have some pretty decent competition considering my favorite type is ground
Psychic: Espeon, my favorite eeveelution, I've always loved espeon and thought it was just soo cute and it's psychic powers are incredible. Espeon is in my top 10 and the only one of them to be used competitively (Magic bounce is an incredible ability)
Rock: Rampardos, Rock is probably my least favorite type, but I've always enjoyed rampardos
Ice: Glaceon, second strongest Ice power in the entire game, followed only by the legendary Kyurem. Glaceon is like the cute version of pure powerful blizzards. One of my top 10.
Bug: Ariados, though it surprises myself to include a pokemon that is not only not that cute or powerful, but has very mighty competition considering on of my favorite types is Bug. But despite some flaws, ariados has an amazing design and was probably the pokemon that made me realize how much bug-types are underappreciated. One of my top 10
Dragon: Dragonite, surprisingly I've never been a huge fan of dragon types. I've always found them overrated and in opposition to bugs. Though Dragonite is so cute
Ghost: Chandelure, power is probably an understatement
Dark: Krookodile, favorite gen 5 pokemon. So strong
Steel: Scizor, the only other pokemon besides espeon on this list that I use competitively. I do not love the steel types but bringing in my beloved bugs, I think scizor is pretty amazing and strong
Fairy: So far Gardevoir, but we will see what happens

August 19th, 2013, 8:54 PM
Alright, let's do this.

Normal: Exploud. It's hard to explain, it just has a great design for a Normal type, and I like the sound theme.

Fire: Camerupt. Awesome, slightly derpy tank.

Fighting: Scraggy. Awesome design and cool typing (yeah, I like it a bit more before it evolves).

Water: Blastoise. Seriously, it's a giant ninja turtle with cannons on it's back. What's not to like?

Flying: Crowbat. I guess I'm one of the few people who isn't annoyed by the Zubat line, and actually loves it.

Grass: Whimiscott. It's insanely fun to mess up everything with Prankster.

Nidoking: I'm not quite sure what to say about this one. It's just all around great.

Electric: Magneton. Extremely underrated, and so fun to use.

Ground: Donphan. I have no idea why, as I'm pretty sure I've never used one. I just like it.

Psychic: Metagross. Everyone's favorite cybertronic pseudo-legendary.

Rock: Aggron.I wanted to save this one for Steel, but there's no getting around it. Aggron, being my favorite Pokemon outshines the other Rock types.

Ice: Weavile. Purely awesome and powerful Ice type. There's a bit of the Donphan situation here as well.

Bug: Scolipede. I love this thing's awesomeness. Gen 5 was very kind to Bug types.

Dragon: Hydeigon. Best pseudo-legendary out there in my opinion.

Ghost: Chanelure. I'm using one on my White playthrough now, and it's a huge powerhouse.

Dark: Houndoom. Yet another case of the Donphans for me (that seems to be the theme for Gen 2 Pokemon).

Steel: Ferrothorn. Since Aggron is out of the way, I guess I'll go for the awesome spiky vine metal dude.

Fairy: Sylveon. It's hard to tell so far, but I really like Sylveon's design.

Note: All of these can and will change frequently. These are just my favorites at the time of writing this.

Except for Aggron. Aggron will always be the best.

August 21st, 2013, 3:00 AM
Normal - Dodrio. This is my favourite Normal/Flying Pokemon, because never disappoints me in the classic games, or in hacks of those.
Fire - Volcarona. Ever since I've got it from the Relic Castle, I've used it countless times against the Elite Four, and it always made me proud with its STAB attacks and Quiver Dance.
Water - Feraligatr. Mainly because of my childhood.
Grass - Venusaur. My favourite starter of Gen 1, my favourite Grass starter, and my favourite Grass/Poison.
Electric - Pikachu. This mouse is super cute and I've got some very cute plushies of it. It's also pretty good in the games. In the classic games and in ROM hacks, it's usually my first choice for an Electric mon.
Ice - Lapras. Not only is it super cute, it's also fun to use in the games. I had such a fun time using it in Pokemon Red (and hacks) and in Pokemon White 2.
Fighting - Lucario. Cool design? Check. Good typing? Check. Good stats? Check. Good movepool? Check.
Poison - Gengar. I love everything about it! Its looks, its design, its typing, its stats, its movepool, and its plushie! And I want to use it in Pokemon X and Y.
Ground - Garchomp. Uber or not, this thing is always fun to use.
Flying - Salamence. With its amazing design, movepool, and Moxie, it stands out above all the other Dragons and Flyings for me.
Psychic - Starmie. It has a great movepool and the stats to abuse it. Also, it's a Water type.
Bug - Volcarona, but I've explained that already.
Rock - Tyranitar. With its great stats, movepool, and design, this thing is a major badass. Sand Stream may be hindering for my in-game team most of the time (since I always use various types) but that's no big deal.
Ghost - Gengar. See Poison.
Dragon - Salamence. See Flying.
Dark - Tyranitar. See Rock.
Steel - Ferrothorn. Since this thing was very good competitively, I wanted to see if it's also good in-game. And it was.

August 28th, 2013, 6:04 AM
Okay, here goes...

Ground - Since Larvitar is a secondary ground type, i wont say him. Instead, It'll be the Marowak line. Y'know, they've got the bones in their hand, and the feeling of swinging and hitting others with it sounds cool. XD
Normal - Ditto! because Transform. :P
Fighting - Lucario because his design is awesome, and AURA SPHERE!
Flying - Rayquaza because he's cool, he's great, and he is a dragon!
Poison - the Nido Family! Whether its a he or a she i like the Nidos. They're very strong! and their final evo are HALF GROUND! XD
Rock - The Tyranitar Line! THEY ARE MY ALL TIME FAVORITE! Nuff said.
Bug - The Scizor Line! The slashin' and hackin'.. I can't get enough of 'em!
Ghost - the Gengar Line! tbh, they're the only ghost type i like, haha.
Steel - Metagross! I like him, and he is a friggin' pseudo legendary!
Fire- Typhlosion! A pure fire, non overrated, starter! what more can you ask for?
Water - Kingler! He's a crab. He's asymmetrical. and most importntly..... "COOKIE COOKIE" XD
Grass - Bulbasaur! coz he's NUMBAH 1!
Electric - Ampharos 'cause lighthouse. :D
Psychic - Victini! He's so cuuuute....and strong! :D Lugia too 'cause I just love Lugia. ;)
Ice - Mamoswine Line 'cause they're cool! and half ground. XD
Dragon - Haxorus Line! yeah, just love 'em
Dark - Umbreon 'cause i really don't like the others, well except absol...but Umbreon > Absol.

Normal - http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/f/f8/242MS.png (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Blissey_%28Pok%C3%A9mon%29) Blissey because I love how she looks, she was designed very well. Also she is a huge, annoying, healing wall.

Fighting - http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/1/1e/068MS.png (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Machamp_%28Pok%C3%A9mon%29) Machamp because his stats are pretty good and has a nice moveset.

Flying - http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/3/35/022MS.png (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Fearow_%28Pok%C3%A9mon%29) Fearow is such a good Pokemon. Drill Peck to victory!

Poison - http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/2/22/110MS.png (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Weezing_%28Pok%C3%A9mon%29) Weezing is special. I don't know why I love him, but I do.

Ground - http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/c/ce/112MS.png (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Rhydon_%28Pok%C3%A9mon%29) Rhydon is nice. I haven't trained one that much. Mainly because IMO he sucks pre-evolution.

Rock - http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/8/85/246MS.png (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Larvitar_%28Pok%C3%A9mon%29)Larvitar because I'm not a huge Rock fan, so this was a pretty easy choice. Its final evolution is pretty famous and viable.

Bug - http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/7/78/637MS.png (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Volcarona_%28Pok%C3%A9mon%29) Volcarona, no competitior to this guy. He is awesome battle and design wise.

Ghost - http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/a/a4/094MS.png (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Gengar_%28Pok%C3%A9mon%29) Gengar is my all time favorite Ghost type. I've loved his since episode 1 of the anime. There aren't that many Ghost types, but quality beats quantity.

Steel - http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/2/2d/376MS.png (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Metagross_%28Pok%C3%A9mon%29) Metagross, why? Best shiny EVER, viable AND its second type is Psychic.

Fire - http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/3/39/324MS.png (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Torkoal_%28Pok%C3%A9mon%29) Torkoal I love this guy so, so much. Well I do love like 95% of all Fire type, but this guy just stole my heart somehow.

Water -http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/f/f5/158MS.png (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Totodile_%28Pok%C3%A9mon%29) Totodile well all of his evolutions are awesome. Sweet moveset and a badass last evolution.

Grass - http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/c/cf/252MS.png (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Treecko_%28Pok%C3%A9mon%29) Treecko the same as Totodile, except it sucks before getting Leaf Blade. He is in my top 5 favorite Pokemons.

Electric - http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/d/da/026MS.png (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Raichu_%28Pok%C3%A9mon%29) Raichu, he is fast, cute and strong. He pretty much won me Fire Red along with Fearow.

Psychic- http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/b/b6/064MS.png (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Kadabra_%28Pok%C3%A9mon%29) Kadabra, its almost always a pick-up from me. It's not an Alakazam because I didn't have a chance to trade.

Ice - http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/8/8f/478MS.png (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Froslass_%28Pok%C3%A9mon%29) Froslass, most good-ish Ice types IMO are secondary Ice. So I decided to go with Froslass.

Dragon - http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/9/90/384MS.png (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Rayquaza_%28Pok%C3%A9mon%29) Rayquaza, almost all Dragon types are AWESOME. But Rayquaza legendary and Dragon type. I just love him.

Dark - http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/7/76/197MS.png (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Umbreon_%28Pok%C3%A9mon%29) Umbreon is pretty good, one of the bettter eeveelutions.

Fairy- http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/4/4a/282MS.png (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Gardevoir_%28Pok%C3%A9mon%29) Gardevoir is for now my Fairy pick. Even if its a secondary type.

September 5th, 2013, 7:29 PM
My favorite pokémon of all time is and always will be Ninetales. I love the majestic design, the adorable foxiness, fire is my favorite pokémon type, and they haven't failed me much in battle. I've always raised at least one Ninetales in every game I've owned and I've used it as a main for one game's story. I love the regular version and the shiny. I wish the shiny was actually white instead of silver but I can't complain much because they are both so pretty.

A second favorite is Blaziken because I played Ruby the most of any game to date and I find all of its evolutions very cute and great in battle. Plus it was the original fire/fighting type. I guess in a way it made the other fire starters jealous and they had to copy.

September 5th, 2013, 7:40 PM

Considering that we already have an active thread asking the same thing over in Pokemon Voting Polls, I'm going to merge your posts with that thread. Please make sure to search if there's already a thread actively discussing a topic before posting a new one next time. Thanks!
