  • To be honest, my first aim on this forum was to make friends, maybe even one for life. But, I'm having trouble staying on the forums. I mean, I love it so much but it just feels like a chore to be on. I honestly want to stay, so I want to know from you viewers, how should I keep myself interested in TPC?

  • If it feels like a chore, find something else to do with your free time for a few days. There's no point in using PC to kill boredom if it feels like a chore for you. If it feels like a chore, it's probably starting to get boring for you! Take a few days away and do something else that piques your interest!

That or try visiting sections other than the ones you normally visit.

  • ^what dondon said. I took some time off, and it really worked. Just stay off and do something else for a week or two. Once your interest in PC returns, you can come back. If you still have zero interest afterwards, rinse and repeat.

  • If you need to get interest back, just stay away from it but still stick to it.

For example, instead of setting your goal to post as much as possible, just set it to one a day or something. I think that's where much of the lack of desire comes from - your subconscious getting overwhelmed.

  • I often lose my motivation or desire to post, but if I just lurk for a couple of days, I eventually feel a need to post again, and once that need comes back, it comes back in a wave and it'll feel good posting again. Give it time. 8)

  • @Everyone: Thank you for all the input you've all been giving me; I'll be going on a 3-4 day break, and see how it goes! Thank you again!
