Really excited about the following feature returning. Looks like I'm buying a mainline 8th gen game after all. Wish the Frontier was returning as well.

Omg yes I am so excited about the follow-me feature returning! I hope it is fixed from how it was in SWSH though - the Pokemon fall too far behind in those games.

We're exactly one month away from the release of BDSP! How we all feeling?

Honestly I'm quite looking forward to getting my hands on these games! To the point that I am mentally planning my Switch gaming ahead of time so that I'm not in the middle of something when they drop...and then reminding myself that SMTV will be out the week before and the chances of me finishing that in a week are pretty low. Although what I'm most interested in right now is the soundtrack. Really looking forward to the remixes.

I was also thinking about doing a solo Bibarel or Purugly run in Shining Pearl next year as part of a series I have loosely planned in my mind.

BE CAREFUL WHEN TRYING TO COMPLETE POKÉDEX! If you are like me, then you have completed the game over the weekend or something and are trying to complete your Pokédex to unlock postgame, but your actually good at math do you can't get Drifloon on your dex. DONT TRY TO RESET THE TIME ON YOUR SWITCH.

So basically, I tried resetting the time to friday 11/26 to get drifloon to appear. It did in fact appear and I caught it. The game saved, Pokémon was entered into Pokédex, and the Pokémon was in my PC. When I then went back into my switch settings and re-synched the time to today, the drifloon was still in my box, yet I had the same amount of poke balls as I did before the catch and the Pokédex entry is blank. I've tried everything, trading for another drifloon, breeding with a ditto and hatching, nothing is filling that Pokédex entry. Has anybody found a way to fix this? I have since released the original drifloon and hatched another and still no luck. I know I will have to wait until next Friday for the drifloon, but I'm afraid the game will still remember that at one point the Pokédex recognized that I had a drifloon and the new legitimate drifloon won't fill the Pokédex slot. Anybody know how I could fix this?

That really sucks, I'm sorry. /: So you just changed your clock to the 26th of November and found Drifloon there? From what I know the game will freeze all time-based events for 24 hours if you change your clock (which in turn ends up breaking things). If you got your Drifloon and all these glitches continue to persist, maybe try waiting out the full 24 hours since changing your clock and seeing if that makes things return to normal?

Didn't think starting a new thread would be ideal for one question but;
Does anyone know if Palkia or Dialga respawn if you defeat them after the Cyrus Battle?

I know some people were initially disappointed by the seeming lack of "ambition," but I feel these will be the Pokemon games I will sink the most time into since Gen 6. A part of that is the fact it has a very traditional feel that doesn't stray too far from the source material, and the traditional grid like map, compared to the attempts at a more natural map style in most of the newer games.

As someone with Autism and ADHD, things being clear and concise is important, and as they started opening up the areas and playing with camera angles, it just ended up disorienting me and being a bit "too much." Along with this, the maps got a bit too detailed/colorful where I sometimes struggled at what I was supposed to do. I have barely played SWSH as the little I did play I struggled to get to grips with the new systems, and part of Pokemon being so appealing to me when I started in Gen 4 was that it was a simple game on the surface, with a bunch of under the hood depth if you wanted to get into it, but not necessarily thrown in your face.

So I think BDSP's more faithful approach actually makes it more appealing for me to buy and actually play. Sometimes simpler is better, and most of the emphasis on "gimmicks" in the recent gens ( Megas, Z-Moves, Dynamax, etc.) just sort of don't resonate with me, as well as the extra convoluted attempts at shoehorning/railroading stories. Sometimes just being a 10 year old setting out to be the very best there ever was is good enough, let our minds imagination fill in the blanks.

Also I'm very much down with the chibis. They are adorable.

They do indeed respawn again after you beat the E4 :D

If you try to teach a Togepi Dazzling Gleam, the game with freeze and crash, so make sure to save if you try. Luckily I hadn't done anything except teach pokemon new moves.

It only seems to be that combination thus far.

I wish we could rename traded Pokemon. If they give the Pokemon away, it should your choice to rename. It's one of my least favorite things about this franchise.
