    Today was awesome!

    I was chaining some Chimecho and I got my new chaining record - 9! I was so proud! Then I decided to go catch Giratina - I mean, how hard could it be? So I went to turnback cave equipped with 9 Super Repels, 10 Revives, 1 Max revive, 7 Lemonades and 10 Hyper Potions. In the Balls pocket I had 29 Timer Balls and 33 Dusk Balls, along with some Ultra Balls. Here's how the battle went:

    So far today I've been getting frustrated chaining Slowpoke... In other news I got a lot of EV reducing berries (20 of Keplsy and Pomeg, 15 Tamato) I chained Slowpoke to 33 then I stepped in a patch and Slowpoke disappeared from my Poketch so I knew it was over... I just want to catch him so I'll have nearly all my original Hunting list finished.

    Anyways I plan on getting the Pokemon I said I was going to get earlier... so far I've had some success, but I haven't really been doing much besides chaining Slowpoke.

    And I had gotten a Wireless router... too bad it isn't up and running entirely yet...

    well, i've always wanted to share a story on this thread so here it is:

    I was chaining, got a 43 chain, then all of a sudden I saw a shiny patch, and I was like OMG.

    then before I reached the shiny patch (it was in far corner) my repel ran out and I ran into a bidoof, so close to the shiny ralts... I didn't notice I was out of repels until after I had been attacked by a bidoof.


    so after that I tried EV training my t'tar, it ended up with 339 sp. attack (which is ok) and 280 sp. def, in which I was clueless about. so I gave up on EV training too.

    got to about a 67 streak at the battle tower then lost to some guy with good pokemon.

    in good news, I achieved seeing 350 pokemon today.
    and I beat somebody in a really close battle for a tournament.

    Stopped tryin' to EV train and breed for IVs and all that garbage. Gets too boring. So I'm raising a new team of just in-game Pokemon. Right now I have:

    Lv. 8 Leafeon
    Lv. 17 Prinplup
    Lv. 18 Grotle
    Lv. 14 Cleffa
    Lv. 13 Squirtle
    Lv. 16 Starly

    Going to get them all at least level 55 and go through the Elite Four with them and see how good they do. Just evolved the Leafeon not too long ago, and leveling it right now.

    The movesets I plan to have are:

    Leafeon -- X-scissor, Leaf Blade, Sunny Day, Synthesis
    Torterra -- Earthquake, Razor Leaf, Curse, Crunch
    Empoleon -- Hydro Pump, Hidden Power (bug), Flash Cannon, Drill Peck
    Blasotise -- Ice Beam, Hydro Pump, Rain Dance, Flash Cannon
    Clefable -- Meteor Mash, Sing, Wake Up Slap, Moonlight
    Staraptor -- Close Combat, Brave Bird, Fly, Whirlwind

    Training in Eterna Forest right now. Then once all are about level 20 I'm going to go train above Solaceon town.

    Ouch... that really sucks. I hated those type of moves anyway, never really helped when you could just use Fly, or instead of using Dig in a tunnel, use an Escape Rope. :\

    Well, using my new in-game team after only 3 levels of training the Cleffa I got evolved into Clefairy at level 18. Today my Starly evolved into Staravia, shiny Chimchar evolved into Monferno, Squirtle evolved into Wartortle and Turtwig evolved into Grotle. Prinplup I already had. All are level 20 now and I hope to get them all at about level 60 and take on the Elite Four.

    That's good that your Team is advancing in level.

    I just wish I wasn't so stupid at times... one of my shinies was on a patch that the guy from the Pokemart was standing on, one of them was when I was trying to use a Synchronize Pokemon and turned and encountered a Buizel... another was when I was just now... and I can't remember the 4th time... I just blanked out... wow... (I think I have a thing for ellipsis...) I had already tried chaining Farfetch'd before... but should I try again? I mean that's a hard hit to have when you lose a rare Pokemon do to stupidity...

    Focus and turn everything else off around you. TV, radio, anything. Concentrate only on Pokemon. xD

    Looks like you're a great chainer seeing all your shinys. My highest was like... 22? Once I get my team leveled and stuff, I'll try really chaining.

    -Managed to catch the Shiny Spoink.
    -Chained for a shiny Pichu, then a Roselia broke my chain.
    -Started to chain Porygon in the Trophy Garden.

    ~August 5
    -The Porygon chain broke at 37, I gave up since I arledy have a shiny Modest Porygon Z:P
    -Today's swarm is Farfetch'd.
    -Currently, I have a chain of 23 Farfetch'ds.

    I had only my computer in front of me (I caught 2 shiny Bronzors no problem.), my problem was that I'm used to going down one option to hit "switch" because I wanted to get an Adamant natured Shiny Farfetch'd... last week (exactly last week I had Farfetch'd as a swarm too O_o) but I got up to 50 something and saw no shiny patches, but this time I was right in front of the Shiny Patch and they made it so the 2nd option would be the move you can use on the field, so I hit teleport on accident.... I'm really frustrated, I've been trying to chain him again, but I keep running into bad patches... I swear you'd think with the increased encounter rate it'd be easy to chain him, yet on Saturday I had my music on and I got 3 shinies.... I turned off the music while reseting the radar for a shiny patch, but when I found them I was happy... oh well I can keep trying but I'm just going to get done on Fire Red so I can port over Pokemon that I can't get normally in Pearl, which would originally be Diamond exclusives.

    Just caught a Modest Heatran with 28 - 29 HP, 20 - 21 Attack, 31 Defense, 28 Sp.Attack, 24 - 25 Sp.Defense and 2 - 3 Speed IVs on my first try. ^^ I'm definitely going to EV train it. <3

    well my first isnt new, couple of week ago i went to the safari zone to try and find a skorupi, so i was walking around and encountered a pokemon screen goes black and blue shiny psyduck moves across screen :surprised:so i threw a safari ball 1 shake, 2 shake, oh pokemon broke free, wild psyduck ran :'( dam shiny appearing in safari zone :(

    now today continued to try and catch all of the pokeradar pokemon, so far today i have gotten a miltank and im trying to catch a taurus now and im also giving another go at 'chaining' again, my highest chain is 9 when i was chaininh blue shellos, i dont understand how you all get chains of 37 and above??

    I started a chain before I went to bed and caught 2 shiny Starly's, and I just caught a 3rd one this morning and I'm looking around for a 4th one before I finish entirely XD the chain is up to 60 right now, I encountered the first 2 shinies on 40 and 41. I'll edit this post when the chain ends.

    Edit:I have captured 5 Shiny Starly's so far >.> I'm probably going to have to trade some off XD...

    Edit2:I have captured 6 Shiny Starly's, I chained 101 of them until it broke when I accidentally went to far over into a Shinx patch.

    1. Defeated Fantina with Luxio and Lucario.
    2. Caught a Floatzel at Level 29.
    3. Evolved Luxray whilst battling Gym Trainers.
    4. Defeated Byron, using Monferno, Floatzel, and Torterra.
    5. Now on my way to Lake Valor.

    Thinking about remvoing Kadabra from my team, because I need to get their levels up higher...
