    Psst... It's lower-case c 8D;

    I'm glad I've met someone else like that XD I hate the shuffle function. I don't really actively listen -- I just absorb the music, and if the music keeps switching, it keeps making me alert and pay attention to it x_x

    The way I find out about new artists are the threads on this forum or music channels I listen to.
    Most of the songs I get now are new albums of existing band I have on my iTunes.

    Sorry >.<
    You've never met anyone else like that? Hmm I s'pose Ive only met a few people who do that xD And I know! The whole point of listening to music on and ipod/itunes is to not have to pay attention to it! Why would I set it on a function that makes me actually have to use my brain when listening to music -_-

    I tend to download the entire discography of a band -- unless we're talking over 500 MB, in which case I'd better like them a whole lot -- and just... Only listen to the same handful of songs from them all the same. ~~; I have a fear that the band will end up disappointing me and don't want that to tarnish the other songs. So the way I find new artists: random things on lastfm -- names of songs, albums, or bands are what'll catch my eye --, googling lyrics from some random thing I've seen, or being forced to download something at gunpoint XD

    @Akasuna no Sasori: Lawl, it's okay. I used to breathe fire at people who did that once DX

    And exactly! Plus the more I follow lyrics and actually come to understand what they're saying, the song loses that shivery feeling I get when I really, really like a song, and it just becomes boring. Endless repeat won't do that, but paying attention will XD It drives everyone in my house crazy when I break my headphones -- which is often -- because then they end up having to listen to the same song as I am. Almost 24/7.

    I used to pick about 10-15 songs that were my favourite and just listen to them (albeit on shuffle, to mix things up a bit). But then every time I'd get a new album or set of songs, I'd find a few more favourites and add them to my playlist. So now I've got a "favourites" playlist of about 150. :'D It at least makes sure there's lots of variety when I'm listening to my favourite songs, and I do pull songs out when I don't like them as much anymore, but it still doesn't help me discover new tunes.

    edit: Haha, Kylie I do that too. XD If I find a band I like, I'll just grab their entire discography half the time even if I'm just looking for one or two songs.

    Highly irrelevant, but do the sig rules count content in spoilers? Either way, expanded [and unexpanded], this person has a signature bigger than my house. D:

    Now on topic XD I never use playlists, mainly because I don't like shuffle, but because I'm terribly lazy about organising my music. I keep my id3 tags perfect and consistent, and my music folders organised, but I'm soooo lazy. x.x I usually just keep songs in order of playcount XD

    @Zet: Everyone needs to listen to Icelandic post-rock bands which don't sing English except in one song, which hasn't been released yet, but are ethereal and beautiful. :3!

    I know how you feel, my old username was Xairmo and everyone called my Xiarmo T_T
    I think I know what you mean. When you really pay attenton to your music, like when it's in that mode, you get to really hear what the artist is saying. And that kinda ruins the whole feel to some songs, y'know? XD Well I just have really crappy headphones that like everyone can hear when I have them on. Also, I listen to music on my comp in the middle of the house really loudly :3

    OH! It's Xairmo! y halo thar. XDD

    Mm. There's this one song, Let Me Give You My Love by Utada Hikaru. I adore/d that song, and it has nearly 2000 plays on my laptop [not counting my iPod plays, which probably run up another 700+]. Then I began listening to the lyrics and I heard things like 'I was totally like soul-searching' or whatever she said, and it made me crack up, and now I can't listen to the song without going into giggles and it ruined it for me orz

    If the lyrics and meaning aren't obvious to me, I try not to look them up unless I really have to. :'D It usually kinda ruins it for me too. Especially things like anime OPs.[/lame] If I find it doesn't actually match the anime (which it never does!) in any way, I find it harder to listen to. XD;

    LET'S MIX GENE POOLS olol I listened to Let Me Give You My Love again and wtfed. XD On the topics of OSTs, mishearings, and the most zetta-super-AWESOMESTESTESTEST game I've played in ages, >_> I keep mishearing 'Right to get another portion' in Detonation on the The World Ends with You OST as 'Right to get an abortion'. Plus the rap is all ~*serious business*~, a la Pokémon DP 10th season 1st OP, so it just... cracks me up so hard whenever I'm playing TWEWY and I hear that. But I'm probably immature :x

    ...so that's what the lyrics are. I keep mishearing that song in the exact same way you did and it'd been bugging me but I never remembered/bothered to look up the actual words since I was pretty damn sure those weren't right. XD;

    Haha XD I know two other people that keep mishearing it like that too. IT MUST BE THAT, and they changed it in the lyrics booklet for the OST so as not to offend. @___@ Insert Neku/Josh mpreg joke

    ETA: Well, it should be Josh/Neku

    I just downloaded Limewire, downloaded about three hundred tracks and threw them onto my iPod. I'll proceed to listen to one track for about a week because that's the way I listen to music.

    Limewire annoys me, the songs are usually bad quality and theres tons of rubbish there aswell. Itunes has decent games and videos too.
