    Okay, good.
You have your favorites for each instrument.
Now pick the best one in the entire world, ever.

He may not be a favorite of mine, but he is deeply resected. He has a huge right to be called the best musician ever.

    John Lennon

    RIP

We all have our opinions but i think we can all agree John Lennon is one of the single best musicians of all time, Music wouldnt be the same without him, whether or not it be metal, rap, country, he influenced us all

theres not need to argue over whos the greatest, noone will all agree on one person, most of us will just name our favorites.

Whilst not the best in the world, one of the most inventive current players is Scott Hull. That guy really knows how to craft an atmosphere :O

I agree that John Lennon is one of the greatest, and he contributed a lot to music.
But it's impossible to pick just one, with so many parts of music to be good at, and so many clashing opinions, it just couldn't be settled.

exactly, all we can do is name favorites of whom may name people with no talent at all, they just name them cause they simply like them.

its pretty much the same for bands, each band influences differently in so many ways

Some of my favorite bands, I will admit, don't have a lot of "musical talent".
But what they do sounds good.
It may be simple, it may be easy to play.
    But it sounds good.
And I think that's more important than playing something complex, and awesome, but not putting it together good, and having it sound terrible.

yea ill admit the same thing
i honestly dont mind if its simple as long as it sounds good and i can bang my head to it im good haha
Like some of the big grindcore bands, namely, Waking the Cadaver.
their riffs are pretty simple, and it's just blast beating, and basic rock beats with double bass.
But they take brutality to the max, and its really heavy.

the heaviest band i would have to say iv heard is probably kataklysm (doubt i spelt that right) or meshuggah
Meshuggah's 8 string guitar just gives it the simple real heavy riffs
plus the drumming is simple aswell

    Check out waking the cadaver.
    They're pretty heavy.
Though, if you don't like inward vocals, it'll be a rough ride.

    @SamuraiMaster

    I'm into all metal.
    All music actually.
My computer has about 80 gigs of music, all of which I have listened to.
Beatles, Eminem, Katy Perry, Slipknot, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin, Bring Me The Horizon, Waking The Cadaver, Pendulum, Johnny Cash.

Nile are pretty heavy, particularly on the "Annihiliation of the Wicked" album... As are Suicide Silence on their debut full-length :D Meshuggah are pretty incredible, though...
