Pikachu is awesome. Pokemon need another side than just fighting and strength, and Pikachu delivers that best for me. Lucario is over-rated because I see him EVERYWHERES now.

Rhyperior! Gawd, I hate that thing. I've still not played any of the generation IV games, so I don't know how strong it is, but it's just so damn ugly. Rhyhorn and Rhydon were extremely badass, and they've always been some of my favourite Pokémon.
Rhyperior, on the other hand, is a disaster.

The same goes for Magmortar, btw.

    Pikachu is not over-rated! -frowns-

Although it is all personal opinion, and that's fine, but Pikachu represents what Pokemon initially are. They're friends. To me, I'd rather see Pokemon like that then super strong haxor ones with l33t fighting skills.

Lucario & Pikachu are the two most overrated in my opinion, Lucario is made out to seem like a legendary pokemon & well Pikachu just speaks for itself.

Pikachu why? Because everytime people that don't even play pokemon think pokemon they think pikachu.

Sort of, Ash's Pikachu does lose a few fights...

But of course people think Pikachu when Pokemon becomes a subject, Pikachu is the mascot and because of that fact I've dropped my hatred of Pikachu - it can't be helped. I mean, I hate it when people think "Bumblebee" when Transformers becomes the topic. It can't be helped.

I personally think Eevee and all eeveelutions are overrated ESPECIALLY Jolteon. I know it's got nice stats and flexible moveset but it's overused, I swear, it's like almost every team needs a Jolteon |:

Lucario IS overrated much to my dismay, but it's design, own movie and role in SSBM promoted it heaps.

    Pikachu.

It may be the Mascot, but why does it have to be weak in the games, and as strong as a legendary in the anime?

I think the only Pokemon is over-rated is Arceus because some people say that it can't be defeated because it created the Pokemon world? No, the only person that created the Pokemon world is the creator who invented Pokemon.

In defense of Pikachu, I will say that he kicks ass in SSB/Melee/Brawl. Light Ball makes him pretty powerful in the Pokemon games as well.

I voted for Lucario. It reached rabid fan status mainly because of its appearance in the movie (where it displayed its near-legendary abilities), but also because of its target demographic which has many, many members.

What's that? Target demographic? Well, it's a fox/wolf thing that looks like it's wearing a blindfold and has spikes growing out of it. Guess who Lucario's design was made to appeal to?

Here's a hint: scritch scritch, Renamon, fchan, etc.

Personally I think Pikachu isn't a great Pokemon in terms of moves. But I do like [its] appearance, yet its way too popular.

    Mew.

People love it, but it leaves a lot to be desired in Statistics. On the flip side, it has the most diverse move-pool of all Pokémon. I still believe that it is quite over-rated, and should be thought of with lower standards.

That is because it's the anime, where everything is not what it's seems.

What? Mew's cuteness cover it's cons.
