Empty map is empty. Add more. >:O
But it's still a good map, and 7/10.

The map is good, albeit a little empty. The thing that pops out at me from the start is the tree borders around the town. The plain circular pattern could be improved by adding in some one-tile trees, maybe some rocks, or even creating an entirely new border. The paths get a little wide in some spots, so that could be narrowed down. I think once the tree border and paths are improved, the map will already lose much of its emptiness.

Other than that, everything else seems good. Flower positioning looks fine to me. I like the trees in the middle of the town. There are no tile errors that I can see, and the palette is nice. Overall, a fine map that could just be filled up and spiced up a bit.

Final rating: 7.5/10 (could definitely hit at least a 9 once the emptiness is taken care of)

Anyways, now for a map of my own...

Comments: Finally worked up enough posts to go from lurking to getting my stuff rated. Before I put up some of the maps I've started, I wanted to put together the region map for my hack first. I'm going to change it more in terms of colors and other visual enhancements, but I just wanted to get the layout itself rated. Ignore the generic world map tiles for now! s:

Small blue stars just mark unique locations on the continent (caves, forests, etc). To clear up any extra confusion, the high ridge on the right does in fact have underground tunnels which connect the routes with dead ends with the town. Inspired partly by Sinnoh, I guess. Flattish region on the bottom right is a desert.

Besides that it has a nice shape, enough grass, naturally shaped cliffs, a nice use of Kyledove Tiles, and a very nice palette! Snow is my fave! XD

Nice job! You changed it so inconspicuously that I had to go through looking for the changes, but the effect was visible right away. At this point, I don't really have anything else to add. Just watch out for that tile error with the tree behind the gym. Besides that, you've got a solid-looking forest village there. o:

Unless there's a map above, to the right, and below it, you're going to have border errors.
Also, I don't see the point of this being Pallet Town Remake, as it doesn't even look like the one from the anime would, and Pallet Town being remade from R/B/G/Y is pointless with those tiles, as Nintendo beat you to it.
    Also, tree shadowing errors.

Also, you can sneak out of the town easily to the right.
    Flower placement is bad.
Tree placement is ok, I guess.

Also, that's a lot of signs...
Same style grass used throughout the whole map.

One more thing, you'll battle and lose to a Missingno. if you go in the grass.
    0.000001/10 is my rating.

Sorry, actually I did a mistake saying it was Pallet town remake, I just mentionned it to say it'll be/could be a starting map for a game. Used same tileset... and stuff.

Bout the flowers tree and other things.. My bad, maybe today I'm not really in the mood.

Whatever... 0.000000001 is too bad. I'll post soon it again. Hope to have a better note.

    Spoiler:

The remade map is pretty decent actually, the top half could use a tile or two to make it more "filling"~ Also grass shouldn't be in towns/cities, or at least in my opinion, it's make it look tacky. ;x

Hooray, it's that time again! :P

Route 1: It's quite nice actually. It's a very Nintendo-y map, and we need more of those around. Two things: Vary the grass tiles you use, as I can only spot two different tiles. And the flower placement could be better... flower tiles look more natural when placed diagonally alongside each other. Also, I don't think much of the lone rock, it looks a bit random, like you just bunged it in.

    8/10, good effort

Pallet Town: There's a map tile error on the fence at the bottom right, they should be joining up. Also, two tiles down from that, there's a tile error on the tree. And once again... GRASS IN TOWNS. I've already given my views on this :P I like the path layout.

    7/10 (9 without the grass)

My world map got skipped, but oh well. I'm pretty confident with it anyways. Here goes with a real map...

Comments: A slightly large starter town, but I'm making the other cities proportionally bigger so it's fine. It's pretty much a beach town on a peninsula, with Route 1 being to the bottom right and a path to a lighthouse in the top left. Town is complete with edited d/p school, a mansion where one of your childhood rivals lives, and of course, a lab. Also the first map I've ever really made, so advice is really appreciated. Rate away!

    Mm, I love coastal towns.
Well one of the first things I noticed was the big tile error which is your bridge. I don't mean to seem egotistical but in this map you can see correct usage of that bridge. The mountains that overlap water are a little weird too. I like the top corners but the bottom corners look like tile errors. It might look better if you used the "thin sand" tile to outline those mountains. The beach looks a little empty, nothing that a couple scattered rocks couldn't fix. The sideways stairs look weird but I'm not here to comment on tiles. For example, I don't like the tree tiles you've used but the way you've used them looks really nice, in my opinion. Another thing I don't like is the usage of paths. The way the stone patch transitions into the sand path in the bottom-right corner looks weird.
Okay, what else? You probably should have used more flowers, and when you do use them, try not to clump them so tightly together. You can put them close but not actually adjacent (diagonal is fine in my book). The fences are quite straight. Maybe you should try to give the bodies of trees, especially the southern one, a little more shape. You're going to run into issues with the northern border unless you've got a connecting map up there. Maybe it's just me but only one signpost seems like it won't be enough for a town, even a starter town. The stone path is square but it actually looks OK for some reason. I think it bends and curves enough to avoid looking too straight, except in that long stretch in the middle of the map. I think the dirt patches in front of the smaller houses is a nice touch.

Overall, the map is pretty good for a starting town. It could use a few touches here and there but you've done a good job avoiding any major mistakes. Well done :)

    Pokestick good times.

Ahhh... this is in my opinion a very good map. Now, I haven't rated here in like two weeks, and I haven't done any outdoor mapsfor even longer... And, it's half past midnight round here, so this'll be a short one, but... First of all, I love the tiles (I'm a tile person ^^). Now when that's done, I must say that I'm extremely fond of the way you did the beach and how it connects to the path, and the basic idea is great. I don't like the three houses standing next to each other, it looks very bad in any Pkmn game when they are like that. And the side-goin stairs are big no-no:s. Do (or get) a special tile for it, or don't do side-goin stairs. The rocks in the sea are goin to create border errors, but moving them one step down will make it work out fine. The rest of the water is too empty. Also, the Mountain-water connection looks ugly with the dark water under, it's supposed to be for 2x2 rocks. It looks like tile errors. And that's bad.
I don't really care that some parts are square, because it's done on the right locations, and strongly reminds me of Foullumps work, which I like very much. I getting sleepy now, so here's the rating:
