This is similar to my mt. coronet one. But yeah. So what do you think about Team Galatic? Do you think that they were pushovers? (sarcasim lol)

When I got diamond and I first saw TG I laughed. Their hair is like woah! The commander were a bit challenging for me. When you first fight (I frogot her name) but the one at the Windworks. The one with the Purugly xD, yeah that gave me a lot of trouble. I think TG stepped up their game a bit in Platinum. Espically Cyrus. HE'S A BEAST!

Honestly, Commander Saturn became my favorite very recently...granted I thought he was a female til' I recently watched an episode with him in it...I saw "her" and then "she" started talking...his voice was deeper than the first Jame's, I swear. I was like "wtheck".

But I like them, odd and wacky.

Easily the most dangerous group. Team Rocket was just looking for money and Team M/A were looking all ground/ all sea respectively. Cyrus was downright insane.

This just made me realize something.
There's something of a "pattern" here.
Each generation, the starring "gang" or team gets significantly more threatening.
Starts off with your classic street gang, the Rockets.
    Then we encounter Eco-terrorists MagmAqua.
Followed by sanity questionable, intergalactic visionaries, Team Galactic.
    What's next, at this rate?

They were definitely the most menacing group so far. Cyrus had a vision, and he took great lengths to make this vision a reality. They did a great job on this character, and I almost felt bad for him when he failed. The galactic commanders were awesome too (their theme ROCKED!). Mars was probably my favorite. Menacing, but not too bright. =D

maybe a gang will return in gen 5. team galactic was definately the lamest gang. they were so unrealistic that i couldn't take them seriously. they were a little tougher in platinum but i never had any trouble beating cyrus.

Oh, I don't know. The thing was pretty well thought out (or at least, easy to give reasoning to). Cyrus was a sociopath super-extremist to begin with. I like to think Saturn found Cyrus' leadership charismatic, and Charon, Mars and Jupiter actually wanted to help Cyrus for one reason or another. The grunts had next-to-no information about what was actually going on, except that they were gathering energy to help "make a new world". Cyrus probably based his recruitment strategy on the methods and appeal of Team Rocket, but it seemed to be aimed at a younger, internet-denizen type demographic. The large attractive facilities, Pokemon handouts, and uniforms. Some people will roll with anything, especially if it relates to a "higher calling". The different personalities Cyrus must have recreated to gain the trust of these people must have been scarily convincing, suggesting that him despising "spirit" is not a new development, and as evidenced by the old couple in Sunnyshore, it probably begin revving up when he was about college-age. The blanks are just begging to be filled in.

They are more of a push over then Team Go Rock Squad.
Their hair is funnier then anything I have ever seen.
    Their style is horrible.
    And they have easy Pokemon.
    Enough said.

Well, at least you have to take a threat to unmake the entire world seriously. They have that over Team Rocket.

I never understood Team Magma or Team Aqua at all. Two groups of people, one obsessed with making oceans bigger and the other obsessed with making landmasses bigger? What a bizarre notion. Think about it: Those are some weird goals. Somebody called them "eco-terrorists", but that doesn't work. Can you imagine real environmentalists becoming convinced that their goal needs to be, say, making the Atlantic ocean bigger for...some reason?

I just can't imagine people behaving that way. Team Rocket and Team Galactic are after money and/or power. That I can grasp.

While in appearance they're absolutely ridiculous, Galactic is actually my 2nd favorite team in the series (the first being Rocket cuz they were always the best. :p) Cyrus is pretty awesome in that he's kind of a crazy (I love the insane types) and the admins were pretty great characters too, 'cept for Charon, I just didn't like him at all.

I'lll agree, MagmAqua had the most far fetched goals, logically, but realistically, Galactic takes the cake there. Unmaking the entire universe essentially because you don't fit in with society? Hello, sociopath.

The Pokemons that the grunts had were too easy. The only time I ever had trouble was facing the Admins and Cyrus. Everything else only took one hit to faint.

I prefer Team Rocket than Team Galatic. At least the former had realistic goals. The latter was surrealistic and goofy looking. The previous gangs had stylish clothing, while Team Galatic's grunts had bowl-cutted, bluegreen hair with space suits uniforms.

I'm pretty sure they were supposed to look a bit out-there.
It fits not only their goal, but there leaders sanity.
    Out there.

Cyrus was a man with a lot of ambition and a unique vision of the ideal world - the same that drove many of the religious cult leaders of the past. He could pitch his ideas, which many of us would find ridiculous, in a way so that many, even someone as intelligent as Saturn (his speech at Veilstone HQ post-game shows he does have a good head on his shoulders), would be drawn into his group. This was made even more prevalent in Platinum, where Cyrus addresses his followers in the HQ's big audience room.

Yeah, their outfits were goofy, but then again, a group of guys wearing blue pirate gear and do-rags (Aqua), big red hoods (Magma) and black jumpsuits with big red "R"'s on them (Rocket) would also stand out in a crowd. They were about as difficult to defeat in game as any criminal organization (which is to say, not very difficult).

And I dunno, Mars had her unique charms...

Team Galatic were some crazy people. The bad guys do get more threatening every game. I thought they were also much smarter too...and didn't actually give up quite as easily as the rest of them. Every time I start the game over, I look forward to fighting Cyrus for the last time. He is a challenge compared to the past team leaders.

They're a bunch of eccentric freaks with weak pokemon and should probably spend some time in the happy house.
