    The realism is probably what got to me. If it had a fairy tale ending where Tohno and Akari (whom this account was named after) did get together, it would have been pretty ordinary. I don't think I cried to 5cm, though it certainly made me much more sad than several other films that did make me cry.

    It was a bad decision on my part to watch 5cm/s first before his other two famous films (Voices from a Distant Star and The Place Promised in Our Early Days) since my expectation was a bit too high for both of them. Dx Nevertheless, they're both pretty good. I'm going to watch other shorts he made later.
    Well, I think the first story hit me pretty hard because I've moved around a lot and had to deal with long distances between ridiculously close friends before. I dunno. XD; It just always gets me.

    And yeah, I did the same. I hadn't heard of him before 5cm/s and after I liked that, I hunted down his other two movies. I actually really disliked Voices the first time I saw it but I watched it again on the weekend and found a new appreciation for it... though I still hate how the humans are animated in it. x_x; But Place Promised? It's tied with 5cm/s for favourite. I just really, really enjoy it. I like that it has a happy ending for once. XD;

    I wish that everyone would incorporate
    align so that everything lined up properly though. Patronizing, Sensei no Petto, Marionette, etc.

    I think the last part was the most powerful for me, since I know I will grow up and will have to be isolated from people I'm close to in my youth, or at least most of them. I myself keep in contact with a faraway friend in Texas via e-mail after I moved away from there last year. And I think he's the only close friend from there I still actively keep in touch with after all this time.

    Place Promised was a bit confusing for me at the end, but I found it to be pretty sweet nonetheless. I watched the version of Voices from a Distant Star where Shinkai and his wife were the voice actors. Not bad voice acting for non-fulltimers.

    If we're going to keep talking about Makoto Shinkai and his works, we might as well just boot this thing over to Japanese Entertainment, where such discourse would be more appropriate.

    Stupid Question: Can't you just put our discussion in the context of a game?
    Stupid Answer: Please? :<

    A: I'll have to talk it over with my parole officer first.
    Q: Will HG/SS improve my truck driving skills?

    Gonna give your sig a 7.5. I preferred the old collab better.
    Personally, I think this collab has better text arrangements than the last, even if at the expense of a more complicated CSS code.

    Your PokeSpe themes would be cooler if they weren't adaptations of our themes. );

    10/10 cause ^^s theme is in the collab. Also, banned for being a funk master.

    EDIT: ^ is banned for being a non-pokespe-collab 8/10 theme ninja!

    No, just get out. You guys are 100 years too early to try and compare yourselves to us and our magnificent themes of glory. I mean, it's the reason why you all tried to copy us right?
